Description
Method of making a bathtub. The present invention relates to a method for producing a bathtub, which is characterized in that a tub body without a supporting edge is made of steel bleali, is enamelled in white after its production and is then connected to a supporting edge made of light metal sheet.
The tub body can be formed from a sheet metal piece.
According to another embodiment, a head piece, a foot piece and a central part of the tub body can each be formed individually and the parts can then be welded together to form the tub body. Likewise, the tub body can be formed from a metal sheet by bending open side parts, a head and a foot piece, formed by cutouts in the sheet metal, and welding these parts together along their side edges.
For the purpose of stiffening the edge of the tub body, it can be beaded with the support edge before it is connected.
In the drawing, bathtubs produced according to the inven tion, on the basis of which the method according to the invention is explained below, for example, are shown.
It shows: FIG. 1 a bathtub in longitudinal section, FIG. 2 such in plan view, FIG. 3 in a section along line II of FIG Bathtub with beaded edge of the tub body and FIG. 4 the cut sheet metal sheet for producing a tub body with corner seams.
<B> 1 </B> is the tub body, 2 in the embodiment according to FIG. <B> 3 </B> is the beaded edge of the tub body, which is connected to the supporting edge <B> 3 </B> by rivets 4 is.
In FIGS. <B> 1 </B> and <B> 2 </B>, the ssellweiss seams are designated with a and <B> b </B>, along which the seams separated from the head piece <B> 5, < / B> the middle part <B> 6 </B> and the footstool <B> 7 </B> of the tub body deform sheet metal parts that have been welded together.
In FIG. 2, with <B> e, </B> e 'and <B> <I> d, d' </I> </B> the side edges of according to FIG. 4 are formed by cutouts in the sheet metal Registered parts that have been bent up to form side parts, a head and a foot piece of the Wan nenkörpers and welded together along these edges.
After their manufacture, the tub bodies <B> 1 </B> are enamelled white on the inside and then connected to the support rim <B> 3 </B> made of light metal sheet.
