Electric razor. The object: of the. present invention is an electric razor.
This razor is characterized by the fact that the inductor and the armature of the motor as well as the breaker are fixed independently of one another to an element: of the housing, the axis of rotation of the motor extending in , direction of the longitudinal axis of the re-chair.
The appended drawing shows an embodiment of the object of the invention given by way of example in the case of a razor comprising a movable comb to be driven by a rapid movement. -and-back, and a single-phase asynchronous motor.
Fig. 1 is an axial longitudinal section of the housing element with which the motor forms a whole.
Fig. 2 is a front view of the oscillating member transmitting the reciprocating movement to the movable comb and of the drag mechanism.
Fig. 3 shows a barrel supporting the bearings in a variant of the embodiment shown in FIGS. <B> 1 </B> -and 2, FIG. 4 is a partial perspective view of the element of the housing cooperating with the element shown in FIG. 3.
Fig. 5 is a cross section of the element of the housing of the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 to 5 with breaker in place.
The motor of the shaver partially shown consists of Inductor 1 with winding 2, supplied from terminals 3, intended to receive a contact plug, and armature 4, with shaft 5 supported by two ball bearings 6 and 7.
The disc 8 is used for its launch, it is accessible from the outside through an opening in the element 9 of the housing, forming a half-shell in molded material, opposite which (on the left of fig. 1 ) is normally placed a second similar half-shell not shown, completing the housing.
The inductor, the armature, the breaker and, the organ oScil, lant 10 intended to transform the rotational movement into a reciprocating movement, are fixed independently of one another at the half -shell 9. The inductor is fixed there by screws 11. The armature is fixed there by gods flanges 12 and 13, enclosing a barrel 14, in which the ball bearings 6 and 7 are driven out, these flanges being immobilized by screws 15 and 16.
The oscillating member is finally held in place between ideux washers by a screw 17, screwed into a threaded sleeve 18 embedded in the mass of the half-shell 9, this screw serving as a pivot axis.
<B> It </B> should also be noted that all the fixing screws will preferably be screwed into sockets taken in the mass of the housing, the assembly then being reduced to taking a half-shell such as 9 and Screw successively the inductor block, the inductor block and the oscillating member, the contact fingers, accompanying the inductor block,
only being placed in the corresponding grooves where they will be held by the second half-shell of the housing, in place.
Note that the inductor unit also includes an anti-interference capacitor 19.
At 20 is finally the platinum-plated screw of the usual breaker -of such motors and causing the interruption and the successive restoration of the current, its elastic support arm passing through a notch in the sleeve 14 and cooperating with a cam of the shaft 5, visible between the two ball bearings 6 and 7. The breaker is also fixed separately to the half-shell, as will be clearly seen below.
Here is now how the rotational movement of the shaft 5 is transformed into the oscillating movement of the member 10 around the screw 17: At the end of the shaft is a head in the form of a flat cylinder and consisting of a bearing ball bearing 21 (see fig. 2), covered with an insulating cap 22, driven onto the outer ring of the bearing. As shown in the fi-. 1, this bearing occupies a position, eccentric on the shaft 5.
Against the cylindrical lateral face of the cha skin 22 bear the two arms of a fork 23, at the end of the oscillating member facing the motor. It is therefore obvious that a rotation of Parbre 5 will have the effect of a rocking of the oscillating member 10, the free end of which emerging from the housing will effect a rapid back-and-forth movement as a function of the speed. of the motor. Pledged in a movable part of a neck pant comb, it will animate. the latter of the movement necessary for the accomplishment of its function.
The oscillating member moves in a plane containing the axis of the motor, which is the longitudinal axis of the unit described, and perpendicular to the stretch to which the comb will move.
The construction adopted has several advantages.
The assembly is above all very simple, as we explained above. All rotating parts subject to. rotational movements turn on balls, either the motor shaft and the eccentric member transmitting its movement to the fork 23. The operation is therefore extremely silent, then the eccentricity of the ball bearing 21 and its hat 22 is weak and only interests an insignificant mass.
This razor presents the. greatest possible safety against the danger of electric shock to the user. The only part directly in contact with the network, namely the inductor unit, is not in electrical contact with any other element of the motor. The shells of molded material constituting the housing being generally insulating, the independent fixing of the armature and of the inductor eliminates any direct electrical link between these two elements.
In addition, the insulating cap 22, through which the fork 23 is attacked, eliminates any electrical contact between the armature and the oscillating organ, thus making any power-up & the latter impossible, even by induction currents of the armature.
The razor may have three terminals such as 3, making it possible to make the connections useful for operation at. various voltages.
Note that the flanges 12, 18 and the screws 15 and 16 which support them can be omitted, if the assembly according to figs. 3 to 5.
Here, the barrel 14, supporting the ball bearings such as 6, has a notch 24 which is lacking in the barrel of the. fig. 1, and simply comes to rest astride the ribs 25 and 26 of the half-shell 9 and in the semi-circular housings 27 and 28.
The notch 24 is thus located opposite the housing 29 in which and next to which are fixed the elastic blade 30 and the support 31 of the elements -du breaker 20. The. fixing screws occupy the place of the holes 32 and 33 visible at the thread. 4.
The second half-shell, coming to be placed on the half-shell 9, finally comprises a semi-cylindrical housing which covers the barrel 14 and keeps it in place without any other fixing member.
