Description
Elektrische Wärmevorrichtung. Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist eine elektrische Wärmevorrichtung, z. B. in Form eines Bettwärmers, eines Platten- wärmers usw., mit einem Gehäuse, in wel chem ein elektrischer Widerstand und eine denselben umgebende, aus wärmeaufspei cherndem Material bestehende Füllung unter gebracht ist.
Das Wesen der Erfindung liegt darin, dass. im genannten Gehäuse ein den Strom kreis des elektrischen Widerstandes beherr schendes, wärmeempfindliches Steuerorgan eingebaut ist, das den genannten Stromkreis unterbricht, sobald die durch den stromdurch- flossenen Widerstand verursachte Wärmeent wicklung ein bestimmtes Mass erreicht.
Auf der beiliegenden Zeichnung ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel des Erfindungsgegen- standes in Form eines Bettwärmers veran schaulicht.
Fig. 1 ist ein Längsschnitt durch den Bettwärmer.
Fig. 2 ist ein Querschnitt durch densel ben, und Fig. d ist ein Schema der elektrischen Teile des Bettwärmers.
Der Bettwärmer gemäss Fig. 1 und 2 hat ein zylindrisches Gehäuse a, in welchem in zentrischer Anordnung ein z. B. aus Steatit bestehender Isolierkörper b vorgesehen ist, der offene Längsnuten aufweist, in welcher ein elektrischer Heizwiderstand c unterge- bracht ist. Der Isolierkörper b ist von einer aus wärmeaufspeicherndem Material, wie z. B. Quarzsand, bestehenden Füllung d umgeben, in welcher auch ein mit einem Gehäuse f versehener Thermostat eingebaut ist.
Das wärmeempfindliche Steuerorgan des Thermostaten ist an den dem Gehäuse f isoliert angeordneten Anschlussstellen g an geschlossen.
In Fig. 8 ist das Schema der elektrischen Teile des Bettwärmers gezeigt. Hieraus ist ersichtlich, dass das wärmeempfindliche Steuerorgan h des Thermostaten in Serie mit dem Heizwiderstand c geschaltet ist. i sind zwei Ansteckstifte, über die der Stromkreis des Bettwärmers beim Anstecken des letz- teren geschlossen wird.
Bei angestecktem Bettwärmer unterbricht der Thermostat in bekannter Weise den Stromkreis des Heiz- widerstandes, wenn die durch den letzteren verursachte Wärmeentwicklung ein bestimm tes Mass erreicht hat. Die entwickelte Wärme wird vom Quarzsand aufgespeichert, so dass der Bettwärmer während mehreren Stunden warm bleibt.
Anstatt als Bettwärmer könnte der Er findungsgegenstand auch als Plattenwärmer ausgebildet sein, in welchem Falle das Ge häuse einen rechteckigen Querschnitt auf weisen würde.

The essence of the invention lies in the fact that a heat-sensitive control element which controls the circuit of the electrical resistance and which interrupts the circuit as soon as the heat generated by the resistance through which the current flows reaches a certain level is built into the housing mentioned.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject of the invention in the form of a bed warmer is illustrated in the accompanying drawing.

Fig. 2 is a cross section through the same, and Fig. D is a schematic of the electrical parts of the bed warmer.
The bed warmer according to FIGS. 1 and 2 has a cylindrical housing a, in which a z. B. made of steatite insulating body b is provided, which has open longitudinal grooves in which an electrical heating resistor c is housed. The insulating body b is made of a heat-accumulating material, such as. B. quartz sand, surrounding existing filling d, in which a thermostat provided with a housing f is installed.
The heat-sensitive control element of the thermostat is closed at the connection points g which are insulated from the housing f.
In Fig. 8 the schematic of the electrical parts of the bed warmer is shown. It can be seen from this that the heat-sensitive control element h of the thermostat is connected in series with the heating resistor c. i are two pins that close the circuit of the bed warmer when the latter is plugged in.
When the bed warmer is plugged in, the thermostat interrupts the circuit of the heating resistor in a known manner when the heat generated by the latter has reached a certain level. The developed heat is stored by the quartz sand, so that the bed warmer stays warm for several hours.
Instead of being a bed warmer, the subject of the invention could also be designed as a plate warmer, in which case the housing would have a rectangular cross-section.
