Sealing ring made of two elements for pistons and process for their production. The invention relates to a spring-loaded sealing ring for pistons with a lock line, composed of two elements, and to a method for its production.
The dielectric ring according to the invention is characterized in that the first element having the sliding surface has a recess extending over the circumference of the ring, which has a flat limiting surface that extends only in the area of the ring lock up to the sliding surface and one against the Ring side with lower pressure # 1 - has an eccentric cylindrical boundary surface,
and that the second element, which is effective as a lock seal, whose height corresponds to the depth of the cylindrical recess of the sliding element, is inserted into the exception in such a way that it is not in the area of the ring lock only the cylindrical surface of the recess, but at the same time also touches the sliding surface of the cylinder. In the manufacture of a sealing ring according to the method of the invention, at least one pair of common surfaces on the two elements are processed together.
It is advisable to design the element that acts as a lock seal in such a way that it rests resiliently on the cylindrical boundary surface of the recess of the sliding element. Here, the element that acts as a lock seal can be slotted on the side of the diameter going through the ring lock.
When machining the two elements, for example, the sliding surfaces or the flat surfaces of both elements placed against the ring side with less pressure can be machined together. For joint machining of the sliding surfaces of both elements, for example, the sliding element can be clamped in the normal operation in a correspondingly clamped position on a round machining center and the element that acts as a lock seal can be inserted into the recess of the sliding element.
When processing the common flat boundary surfaces, the element that comes into effect as a lock seal is expediently inserted into the sliding element, on a plane processing machine or clamped on a face plate of a rotary processing machine.
The method according to the invention is tert erläu example below using a sealing ring as a Ausführungsbei game of the invention on the drawing represents. FIG. 1 shows the view of the ring from below, FIG. 2 shows the side view from the lock side and FIG. 3 shows a partial view from above in the area of the ring lock. Fig. 4 to 7 show each a section along the lines IV-IV, V-V, VI-VI respectively. VII-VII of Fig. 1 on a larger scale.
FIGS. 8 and 9 each show a perspective view of the ring lock, one time from above and the other time from below, with the right half of the Dielltungselementes is omitted for better illustration.
The sealing ring shown in the drawing is composed of two elements I and II. The outer cylindrical surface I of the first element 1 slides on the surface 2 of the cylinder 3. As a result, the piston bearing the ring in a groove 4 becomes. ben 5 in the 3 cylinder. To form the ring lock 7 , the element I is slit along a meridian plane 6 , so that it can spring against the sliding surfaces 2 of the cylinder 3 .
To accommodate the element II, the sliding element I has a recess which has a flat boundary surface 8 that is continuous only in the area of the ring lock up to the sliding surface 1 and one against the ring side Has N lower pressure extending cylindrical boundary surface 9 .
The height h of the Dielltungselementes II is the same as the depth t of the recess in the sliding element. The element II is set in the recess of the element I in such a way that in the area of the ring lock 7 it is not only the cylindrical surface 9 of the recess of the element I, but the same - also touches the sliding surface 2 of the cylinder 3 in good time.
In order to secure the contact with the cylinder surface 9 and on the sliding surface 2, the element II is slit open at the point 10 and inserted into the recess with elastic pretension. The point 10 is expediently offset by approximately 90 ' against the ring lock 7 , so that it is laterally of the by the ring lock 7 </ B> jarring meridian level 6 comes to lie.
In the area of the normal ring cross-section IV (FIGS. 1 and 4) there is a gap between the high pressure side H and the low pressure side N of the piston 5 on the one hand by the sliding surface 1 and on the other hand by the flat surface 11 . The gap 12 will then be filled by the medium of high pressure and the gap 13 by the medium of low pressure.
At the point of the section VV (Fig. 1 and 5) and also at the point of the section VI-VI (Fig. 1 and < B> 6) the seal is also reached on the sliding surface 1 and on the level 11 . In the middle of the ring lock at section VII-VII Wig. 1 and 7) , however, only the sealing ring H with the cylindrical surface 14 and the flat surface 11 performs the seal. The ring therefore does not have any point even in the area of the ring lock at which the seal is not completely secured by one or the other surface.
It is therefore not possible for the medium to be sealed to flow from the high pressure side H through a gap to the low pressure side N .
To produce the described sealing ring, element I is expediently first turned to a slightly larger diameter equal to the recess and the recess in the area of the ring lock is expanded by milling to the sliding surface 1. In this case, care must be taken that in the bulge in the area of the ring lock the planar limiting surface 8 of the recess made by turning exactly matches the planar limiting surface of the planar limiting surface made by milling / B> bulge of the recess collapses.
Finally, the ring is slit in the meridian plane 6 .
Element H is made from a ring, the height of which corresponds to the depth of the recess in element I. The radial width of the ring corresponds to the radial width of the element I. By partially milling out the outer circumference of the ring, the bulge reaching up to the sliding surface 2 of the cylinder 3 is created in the area of the ring lock.
To the side of the meridian plane going through the ring lock, element II is seated; it can then be inserted into the recess of the element I under elastic pretension.
For joint processing of the sliding surfaces 1 of element I and 14 of element mentes II, element I is initially not completely pressed together elastically to the diameter corresponding to normal operation, then clamped centrically on a cylindrical machining center, for example a lathe or a cylindrical grinding machine, by means of axial pressure.
Finally, element II is placed in the recess of the clamped element I, whereupon the joint fine machining of the sliding surfaces 1 and 12 can take place on the diameter of the cylinder.
The joint processing of the support surfaces 11 on the elements I and II is expediently carried out on a face processing machine, for example on a face grinding machine, or on the face disk of a round processing machine. The element II is inserted into the recess of the element 1 and clamped for example by means of a magnetic chuck, whereupon the common flat surfaces 11 can be finely machined by turning or grinding .
The sealing ring described is suitable for all possible piston-like machine elements, for example for pistons and for piston rods with reciprocating movement. In most cases, both elements are expediently made from the same building material. In one case or the other, however, it could also recommend using a different building material for the sealing element than for the sliding element. The position of the piston axis is irrelevant here. The sealing ring can also be used for obliquely or horizontally moving Kol ben or for those that must be sealed from bottom to top.
The use of a ring according to the invention is particularly recommended for machines with high piston speeds, high sealing pressures and 'high temperatures.
