Automatische Feuerwaffe.
Automatic firearm. The automatic firearms of the mass-locked system have the advantage over the other locking systems of greater simplicity and thus field effectiveness. On the other hand, there is the disadvantage that the realization of larger-caliber weapons, i.e. from 20 mm caliber upwards, after the mass-locked system encounters difficulties, because the large locking compounds required to absorb the gas pressure forces only allow a low rate of fire,
unless exceptionally large recoil springs are provided, but which do not offer sufficient operational reliability.
It has now been proposed to dimension the actual closure body only in a mass necessary for the cartridge case supply and discharge and to couple the barrel with slip to the closure body during the action of the gas pressure forces in order to bring about the inertia which is required for the mass locking ,
so that the entire inertial mass does not have to be moved back and forth over the entire locking path. In the known proposal, a hydraulic clutch is provided. The present invention is now the task of releasing the coupling of the tube to the closure body with slippage during part of the return of the closure body by purely mechanical means.
The subject of the present invention is an automatic firearm, in which the principle of the mass locking is modified in a known manner so that the locking mass, which is dimensioned only for the cartridge feed and sleeve discharge, can be coupled to the barrel as the inertia mass which causes the locking, which is characterized by this that the sealing compound is attached to the pipe via at least one
movable lever is coupled to the pipe during part of the return movement in such a way that during the connection with the closure a coupling of the pipe to the closure is achieved under slip.
In the accompanying drawings, some exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the present invention are shown, on the basis of which the essence of the invention will be explained in more detail. It shows: Fig. 1 an automatic firearm, partly in section, with a first Ausfüh approximate form of the coupling member between the breech and barrel, Fig. 2 the weapon according to Fig. 1 in a longitudinal section offset by 90, Fig. 3 the coupling member according to Ent - coupling the cap from the pipe,

In FIG. 1, 1 denotes the tube which is inserted into the tubular sleeve 2. The trigger hook 4, shown schematically and located in the trigger housing 3, is actuated via a linkage 5. The closure 6 slides in the tubular sleeve 2 against the action of the return spring 7. The tube with the tubular sleeve is mounted in a cradle 8 with attachments 9 and 10 so that it can move backwards, the return movement being cushioned by a spring 11.
Two levers 12 and 13 are arranged on the tubular sleeve 2. The levers 12, 13 are fastened by means of pegs 57 and 58 in tabs 14, 15 provided on the tubular sleeve 2 by the bolts 16, 17. The levers 12, 13 rest on the tubular sleeve with an extension projecting forward beyond the bearing in the eyes 14, 15. At their rear end, the levers 12, 13 have lugs 18, 19 which engage in the path of cams 20, 21 provided on the closure body 6. The levers 12, 13 also have eyes 22, 23.
In the eye 22 of the lever 12 are (see. Fig. 4) the angle lever 24, 25 mounted by a bolt 26 and connected to each other, while rend in the eye 23 of the lever 13, the angle lever 27, 28 superimposed by means of a bolt ge and are connected.
In FIGS. 3 and 4, the arrangement and mounting of the angle levers 24, 25 is shown in more detail. The arrangement is exactly the same on the opposite side, so that a special representation could be dispensed with. The angle levers 24, 25 are supported on the one hand with a shoulder on the tubular sleeve 2 and protrude with the sets 29, 30 into the tubular sleeve and thus the path of the cam 20 of the lock 6, while on the other hand they are articulated to the rod 31 . The rod 31 carries a piston 32 which slides in a cylindrical housing 33 and is under the action of a spring 34. The housing 33 is rotatably mounted on an eye 35 of the lever 12 bar.
As already mentioned, the arrangements on the lever 13 are exactly the same as those described for the lever 12.
The mode of operation of the device shown is briefly as follows: With the previous closure, the cams 20 and 21 on the closure body 6 rotate the projecting into the closure track 29, 30 of the angle levers 24, 25 and 27, 28 forward, this Drehbewe supply pulls the pistons 32 in the cylinders 33 backwards while the springs 34 are compressed. The resilient levers 12 and 13 now engage behind the cams 20 and 21 with their noses 18, 19 when the closure has reached its front reversal position, as FIG. 5 shows.
When the gas pressure forces act, the closure is pushed backwards, but it has to take the tube with it because it is now coupled to the closure body via levers 12 and 13. During the backward movement, which now executes the pipe with the closure together, the connection of the pipe with the closure is canceled by sliding the lugs 18, 19 of the levers 12 and 13 on the cams 20 and 21. At this moment who also the angle levers 24, 25, 27, 28 by their associated springs 34 as the returned to the starting position.
Through the design of the support surface with which the levers 1.2 and 13 rest on the cams 20 and 21, and the dimensioning of the levers 12 and 13, which are resiliently bent up during their movement to release the coupling between the closure and the tube, a coupling is achieved which to allow a slip 59 between the tube and closure movement and is therefore designed according to the diagram in FIG. 6, in which, in addition to the slip 59, the braking force 60 resulting from the coupling of the tube is shown.
After the main gas pulse by ela tical change in shape of the lever 12; 13 has been picked up, the levers 12, 13 have assumed the position shown in FIG. The closure is released from the slip lock at a speed sufficient for its return; At this moment the pipe with the pipe sleeve assumes the rear return position and is driven forward again by the return spring 11, regardless of the closure movement.
The closure, which rushes forward again after its rear turn, is coupled again to the tube via the bending levers 12, 13 by the reversing movement already described, as shown in FIG. 5 shows the angle levers 24, 25, 27, 28.
In the embodiment of FIGS. 7 to 10, a weapon is the same on structure as shown in FIGS. 1 to 6 ge selects, but the coupling between the tube and the breech is accomplished by a lever 36. The lever 36 is fixedly but rotatably connected to the pipe sleeve and thus to the pipe by a bolt 37. The lever 36 is designed as an angle lever, which is supported with its part 38 on a bolt 39 on the cradle. In this exemplary embodiment, a bolt 40 arranged on the latter is inserted into a corresponding opening in the lever 36 and takes it forward with it.
In this case, a movable lever 41 provided on the cradle, which is pressed upwards into the closure path under the action of a spring 42, ensures that during insertion. of the bolt 40 in the opening of the lever 36, the tube with tube sleeve under the action of the return spring 11; is moved forward, so that a rotation of the lever 36, which is also supported on the cradle by means of the bolt 39, is easily possible in a counterclockwise direction. In doing so, the tube is coupled with the closure, in that the position shown in FIG. 9 is now reached.
In this case, however, the coupling of the pipe with slippage for locking is not achieved by stressing the bending of the coupling lever, but by the transfer achieved by supporting the long end 38 of the angle lever 36 on the cradle.
In Fig. 10 it is shown that between the locking path 61 and the pipe path 62 by the lever 36 a slip is allowed by the fact that the locking path 61 is greater than the pipe path 62 due to the transmission ratio. If then the bolt 40 from the opening in the lever 36 emerges, a decoupling of the pipe and sealing compound has occurred. The main gas pulse has been absorbed by the tube and plug; the lock leaves the coupling at a speed sufficient for its return.
In FIGS. 11 to 16, an embodiment is shown in which the coupling between the pipe and the closure is carried out by a lever 43 which in turn is rotatably connected to the pipe sleeve and thus to the pipe by a bolt 44. The lever 43 in turn has, analogously to the lever 36 in the example according to FIGS. 7 to 10, an opening or recess into which a bolt 40 provided on the closure 6 can drive. The lever 43 is provided with a set 45 which, when the lever 43 is rotated about the bolt 44 clockwise, reaches the area of a hollow cylinder 46 which is slidably mounted in the tubular sleeve and is closed on one side.
This cylinder 46 protrudes with the closed side out of the tubular sleeve and is supported on an annular spring assembly 47 arranged in it, which on the other hand rests on the tubular sleeve, that is, on the bottom of the bore in the tubular sleeve in which the cylinder 46 slides .
In Fig. 12, the lever 43 is shown in the Stel ment in which it just receives the bolt 40 of the prior closure. Since the lever 43 is rotated into the position shown in Fig. 13 and the ring spring assembly 47 relieved. When the lock is receding, the lever 43 is rotated clockwise, and it must therefore, until it is rotated into the uncoupled position, compress the ring spring assembly 47. In Fig. 14 the position in which the bolt 40 leaves the opening in the lever 43 is shown.
Fig. 15 shows the lever 43, the cylinder 46 and the annular spring assembly 47 on a larger scale. The work diagram shown in Fig. 16 illustrates the effect of the device, with 59 the slip and with 60 the braking force on the lock is denoted. When the gas pressure forces act, the bolt 40 with the lock 6 is first pushed back. The lever 43 is rotated by this movement. Now, however, its rotational movement is braked in that the annular spring assembly has to be pressed more and more together when the lever 43 is rotated by its projection 45.
There is therefore according to the braking with an acquisition of the tube, that is, depending on the dimensions of the ring spring assembly and thus greater or lesser braking of the rotary movement of the lever 43, a greater or lesser tensile force can be achieved on the tube. In the example, a ring spring package for braking the lever 43 was selected because it is known that such spring packages are able to take up a lot of work and only give them back to a small extent. This has the consequence that the entry of the bolt 40 into the opening of the lever 43 and the establishment of the coupling position takes place without significant resistance.
The movement of the lever 43 in the clockwise direction while compressing the ring spring package generates the resistance force that is matched to the gas pulse and pulls the tube, while the movement of the lever 43 in the counterclockwise direction follows practically without resistance due to the relief characteristics of the ring spring.
Finally, in FIGS. 17 to 19, a final embodiment is shown in which the member coupling the closure to the tube consists of several levers articulated with one another. The lever 48, which faces the receiving opening for the bolt 40 and is mounted in the tubular sleeve, is connected to one end of the angle lever 50 via a rod 49. The rod 49 is articulated in the lever 48 by means of bolts 51 and articulated in the angle lever 50 by means of bolts 52.
The angle lever 50 is hinged to the tubular sleeve by means of bolts 53. At its other end, the angle lever 50 carries a roller 54 which rests on a molded piece 55 fastened to the cradle. In the tubular sleeve, in turn, a unilaterally GE closed hollow cylinder 56 is displaceably superimposed ge, which is supported on an annular spring package, which is on the other hand on the tubular sleeve.
Compared to the embodiment according to FIGS. 11-16, this exemplary embodiment contains the new feature that a knee joint is also provided to support the annular spring assembly as an inhibition for the lever effecting the clutch.
The coupling of the closure to the tube is rigid in the position shown in FIG. 17, in that the articulated connection 49, 50 assumes an extended position. This rigid lock only exists for a very short time, in that when the gas pressure forces the lock and thus the joint connection is pushed backwards. As a result, the roller 54 runs onto the elevation of the shaped piece provided on the cradle and causes the articulated connection to buckle. The rigid locking has already been canceled. The ring-spring assembly now acts as an inhibition for the lever causing the clutch, but its effect is reinforced by the angle lever.
As A kinking movement progresses, the force required for the A kinking process is always weaker, and only the annular spring assembly acts more and more as an inhibition for the rotary movement of the lever 48. In this exemplary embodiment, the desired effect is that of the coupling of the pipe to the closure with slip, is still achieved because, as stated, the rigid interlocking in the starting position only exists for a very short time to accommodate the first gas pressure peak and then the pipe with the closure under approval of a Coupling connecting slip occurs.
In Fig. 19 the articulated connection is shown on an enlarged scale. The position of the individual parts is drawn in solid lines at the beginning of the action of the gas pressure forces, while the position is shown in dashed lines when the pipe is uncoupled from the closure.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 17 to 19, however, another variant would be possible. The hinge connection could be arranged in such a way that it is only almost stretched in the starting position according to FIG. 17. In this case, the shaped piece 55 provided on the cradle is not required to initiate the buckling. In this case there is a semi-rigid lock which, in a known manner, requires great forces in order to buckle it, which in turn decrease progressively as the buckling progresses.
In this case too, an angled lever mechanism which initially absorbs large forces is associated with an initially large force-absorbing angled lever mechanism in order to support the inhibition of the lever 48 by the annular spring assembly described.
It should also be mentioned that, of course, in the embodiments according to FIGS. 7 to 19, a lever coupling the barrel with the lock must be provided on both sides of the weapon, since otherwise unacceptable one-sided stresses would occur.
With the embodiments shown, the possible solutions of the purely mechanical coupling of the pipe with slip to the closure are by no means exhausted. It was only intended to show one principle of the solution, which, moreover, can still be varied and expanded to a large extent.
