Fig. 1 eine Nivellierlatte, verkürzt, von vorn gesehen,
Fig. 2 dieselbe in der Seitenansicht und
Fig. 3 einen Schnitt nach der Linie III-III der Fig. 1.
Leveling staff for surveying purposes.
The subject matter of the invention is a leveling staff for purposes of venness, which consists of a rod-like hollow body in which a band which is adjustable in the axial direction of the hollow body and which has a graduation is arranged.
The advantage of the leveling staff according to the invention in comparison to known devices of the same purpose is mainly that, due to the adjustability of the tape with the graduation, the zero point respectively. a known level is brought to each targeted point of the leveling staff and therefore the search points can be read directly in the leveling instrument.
In the drawing, a leveling staff according to the invention is shown on the basis of an embodiment, namely shows:
Fig. 1 a leveling staff, shortened, seen from the front,
Fig. 2 the same in side view and
3 shows a section along the line III-III in FIG. 1.
The hollow body I of the exemplary embodiment has a rectangular cross section; its total length is, for example, 3 m. It has an end plate 2 at each end. On the front broad side of the lath there is a window 3 which is delimited above and below by a web 4. The band 5 appears in the window, which is provided with a graduation, the dimensions of which increase from top to bottom according to their order of magnitude in the position of use of the staff. The band consists of steel, textile fabric, leather, balata, cellulose or some other suitable material. It is placed around the rollers 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10, which are rotatably mounted in the side walls of the hollow body 1.
As can be seen, the rollers 6 and 10 and the rollers 7 and 9 among themselves have the same diameter. The roller 8 has a different diameter from the other rollers. The axis of the roller 9 can be displaced parallel to itself in the slot 11 of the hollow body and the band 5 can thereby be stretched. Other tensioning devices for the tape are also conceivable; For example, an elastic pulling element could be inserted into the belt plane. The belt tension could also be maintained using a known Lenix tensioner.
The band 5 is a self-contained endless band, the length of which is advantageously chosen so that a measuring range of a decade of the unit of measurement (for example 10 m, 10 yards, 10 arsehins or the like) can be attached to it. The roller 8 can be rotated by a crank 12, which is equipped with a handle 13, whereby the endless belt can be adjusted in the axial direction of the hollow body. An adjusting or braking device (not shown) can be connected to the crank so that the tape can be held in any position.
This leveling staff is used as follows. It is set down on a zero level or a known level and aimed at by the leveling instrument set up anywhere in the area. The band 5 is then rotated until the units digit of the unit of measurement appears on the horizontal bar of the crosshairs in the leveling instrument. If the leveling staff is now placed on a search point with the tape position unchanged, the Hohenkote can be read directly from the leveling instrument within the decade of the unit of measurement.
