Fig. 2 en est une vue de face.
Mill for spraying any material liable to be reduced to powder. The object of the present invention is a mill for spraying any material capable of being reduced to powder, such as soda, graphite, bone, straw, hay, chestnuts, cakes, cereals, etc.
This mill is characterized by -of hammers each constituted by an arm and an interchangeable head, said arm being twisted near its end carrying the head, so that the general plane of this head makes an angle with the plane:
general, of said arm, these hammers being mounted to rotate on a rotor actuated by a motor, this rotor and the hammers being contained inside a casing provided with fixed interchangeable anvils, with an inlet for the material to be process, filter and bags for air expansion, so that,
Due to the rotation of the rotor and under the action of centrifugal force, the hammers cooperate with the anvils to pulverize the material, the air produced by the rotation of these hammers driving the pulverized material through: the filter, this air expanding in said bags, which avoids settling of the grind.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment @du mill forming the subject of the present invention.
Fig. 1 is a side view of this embodiment.
Fig. 2 is a front view. F'g. 3 is a back view.
Fig. 4 is a front view of one of the hammers, while FIG. 4a is a side view.
Fig. 5 is a section along I-I of FIGS. 1, 2, 6 and 7.
Fig. 6 is a section along II-II of FIGS. 2 and 7.
Fig. 7 is a section along III-III of FIG. 1.
On supports 1 is fixed a flow box 2 with bag 3. On this box 2 are mounted two rolling bearings 4, crossed by a shaft 5 of a rotor 6, this shaft carrying a pulley 7 which is actuated by an engine (not shown) with a very high number of revolutions (4200 revolutions per minute).
The rotor 6 is contained inside a housing 8 provided with interchangeable fixed anvils 9 and guides 10 allowing the sliding of a filter 11.
The rotor 6 comprises flanges 12 on which are mounted to rotate hammers 13 each constituted by an arm and an interchangeable head, the arm of each hammer being twisted near its end carrying the head, such that the general plane of this head forms an angle with the general plane of the arm.
The casing 8 is reinforced by two irons 14 allowing sealing by the pressure of two removable screws acting at 15. This casing 8 is closed by a sealed cover 16 with a groove to receive a rubber seal 17. On this cover 16 is fixed a funnel 18 provided with a control valve 19.
The housing 8 supports a hopper 20 with an adjustable distribution box 21, viewing window 22, hooks 23 with springs 24 where, under tension, two air expansion bags 25, made of canvas, are attached to sleeves 26 welded to the box 2.
During the rotation of the rotor, the hammers pass from the position shown in broken lines in fig. 7, in the position shown in solid lines, under the action of centrifugal force. The hammers then cooperate with the anvils 9 to pulverize the material.
The air produced by the rotation of the twisted hammers pushes the pulverized material through the filter 11, this air expanding in the bags 25, which prevents settling of the grind.
