TropfSasche.
Fig. 1 die ganze Flasche, in Ansicht ;
Fig. 2 das stark vergröBerte Kopfstück im Längsschnitt, und zwar nach der Mittel- linie der AusguBtülle, wobei der Luftkanal im Vergleich zur Fig. 1 abgeändert ist ;
Fig. 3 einen mit der Fig. 2 übereinstimmenden Schnitt, jedoch mit einem der Fig. l entsprechenden Luftkanal ;
Fig. 4 eine Aufsicht zur Fig. 1.
Drip ash.
The invention relates to a dropper bottle that can be fitted with a screw cap, the neck of which is coaxial to the bottle body and the pouring spout has an outlet channel that stops shortly before reaching the spout tip, so that a flat sealing surface is created at the upper end of the bottle, the front being the drip point Edge of the grommet is used.
In dropper bottles of this type, according to the invention, perfect drop formation is achieved in that the discharge channel, which is provided in the spout with the drip edge, opens into a bore in the neck that is narrowed in such a way that the drop by drop of the liquid is ensured, which bore gradually opens expanded to the inside diameter of the bottle body, and that the drip edge is adjacent to a depression.
Advantageously, an air duct open towards the bore is also provided in the wall of the bore on the side opposite the discharge channel, which air duct runs down to the inside diameter of the bottle. However, an air channel can also be reached, for example, by deepening the rear end of the outlet channel provided in the spout.
In the drawing, a dropper bottle according to the invention is exemplified; show it :
1 shows the whole bottle, in view;
FIG. 2 shows the greatly enlarged head piece in longitudinal section, namely along the center line of the pouring spout, the air duct being modified in comparison to FIG. 1;
3 shows a section corresponding to FIG. 2, but with an air duct corresponding to FIG. 1;
FIG. 4 shows a plan view of FIG. 1.
At its upper end, the bottle is equipped with a thread g onto which a closure cap (not shown) is screwed, the sealing insert of which guarantees a liquid-proof closure of the upper, flat mouth edge c.
The bottle neck h, which is arranged coaxially to the bottle body /, has the outlet lle t projecting slightly radially. which contains the outlet channel a, but which does not extend outwardly to the free front end of the spout t, so that the above-mentioned flat sealing surface c is nowhere interrupted at the upper edge of the mouth.
So that the drop that is created on the edge t'der spout t acting as a drip nose is securely held until its final formation and, above all, cannot run down the outer wall of the bottle body f, there is a groove r on the upper part of the bottle neck he provided, which either forms a closed ring or (as shown) ends shortly before reaching the front edge t'der spout t.
A groove that is completely or approximately closed to form a ring is expedient for reasons of production technology, but the drop can also bind to the drip point t'accessible by connecting to or. provides other recesses in the spout t near the drip point t ', while the remaining part of the bottle neck / t then remains without grooves.
The inside diameter of the bottle gradually decreases towards the top to such an extent that a narrow bore b is created in the area of the bottle neck la, which does not allow a closed jet, but only individual drops of liquid to escape. The diameter of the hole b is adapted to the respective intended use of the dropper bottle.
The air supply to the inside of the bottle body during the dripping process takes place in the embodiment according to FIG. 3 and 4 through an additional air channel bl (compare in particular Fig. 3), which runs downwards in the wall of the bore b in the area of the bottle neck h and is too open towards the bore until it finally reaches the area of the thread provided for the closure cap g runs out onto the inside diameter of the bottle. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the additional air channel b2 is achieved in that the rear end of the outlet channel a provided in the spout / has a depression.
The use of the dropper bottle is done in such a way that after loosening the screw cap (not shown) that seals the contents of the bottle, the bottle is tilted in the direction of the dispenser until the dripping process begins. The amount of liquid exiting through the narrowed bore b is so small that only a single drop can ever arise on the drip edge t 'of the spout t. This drop is held tight at the drip point until it loosens by itself by virtue of its own weight and falls freely, whereupon a new drop is formed.
When the desired number of drops has been dispensed, the bottle f is returned to its vertical position. The liquid residue still present on the drainer is, if it cannot return to the drainage channel a, held in the groove r or in the corresponding indentations in this groove, so it cannot run down the outer bottle wall and thereby with the hand holding the bottle come into contact.
The dropper bottle shown is mainly intended for dispensing liquids (especially medicine) that have a lower specific gravity than water: it can be used to dispense various liquids drop by drop without the need for particularly careful handling of the bottle during the dripping process requirement.
