Method for ventilating rooms in rocks, shafts, shelters and the like, and air conditioning system with refrigeration unit for carrying out this method. The invention relates to a method for ventilating certain rooms in rocks, shafts, shelters and the like, which are supplied with cooled outside air by a refrigeration device. The invention also relates to an air conditioning system with a refrigeration device for carrying out this method.
In order to protect rooms of the type mentioned from the ingress of toxic or otherwise the health or the life of humans ge endangering warfare agents, it is known to install filters with protective substances against chemical warfare agents in the channels for supplying the fresh outside air. Such filter media, however, soon become inoperative, which is why they must be replaced after each gasification of the outside air, which is an expensive matter.
To remedy this disadvantage. is now, according to the method according to the present invention, in the event of a gas attack, the inflowing air is cooled so deep that at least the greater part of the chemical warfare agents contained therein is condensed out.
According to the invention, the air conditioning system with refrigeration device for carrying out this method has an adjustable regulating element which, in the event of a gas attack, allows the amount of outside air flowing into the refrigeration device to be reduced to a fraction of the same amount otherwise flowing in.
In this way, it is possible, with the help of a refrigeration device of the same efficiency as is otherwise provided for the air conditioning of the rooms in question, to effectively protect the latter in a cheap way from the penetration of warfare agents.
The drawing shows an embodiment of the refrigeration device of an air conditioning system according to the invention, which is otherwise not illustrated, for example and in a simplified representation.
In the figure, 1 denotes the Ver denser of the refrigeration device, to which the refrigerant vapors to be compressed flow through a line 2 and which conveys the compressed vapors into a pressure line 3. The latter is connected to a condenser 4; the coolant for this condenser flows in through a line 5 and out through a line 6. 7 denotes the evaporator, which is divided into two elements 8 and 9.
Depending on the setting of two switching devices 10 and 11, the liquid refrigerant flows out of the condenser 4 either in the direction of the arrows A first to the evaporator element 8 and from there via the expansion valve 12 into the evaporator element 9, and then from here in the direction of the Arrows.! 1 get through the switching organ 11 in the compressor suction line 2 umpteen, or the liquid refrigerant first flows in the direction of arrows B to your evaporator element 9,
in order to flow from this via the expansion valve 12 into the evaporator element 8 and then likewise in the direction of the arrows B via the switching element 11 into the suction line 2. 13 be denotes the line through which the outside air to be cooled flows into a room to be ventilated, not shown. In the Lei device 13 as a rotary valve 15 ausgebil Detes control element is installed, the A position is carried out by a non-illustrated, gas-sensitive apparatus. The rotary flap 15 is provided with an opening 14.
In the horizontal position of the rotary flap 15, in which it is adjusted in the event of a gas attack, the amount of outside air flowing through the line 1.3 to the evaporator 7 of the refrigeration device can be reduced to a fraction, for example a quarter, with the help of the rotary flap opening 14 reduce what otherwise zuströnii. An adjustable flap 16 has the effect, depending on its position, that the outside air to be cooled first brushes the evaporator element 8 or then the element 9.
The setting of the switching elements 10, 11 is expediently automatic and periodic; however, the setting of the flap 16 has to agree in such a way that the latter assumes the position shown in solid lines in the drawn position of the switching elements 10 and 11, in the second position of the Umsehaltorgarie 10, 11 there against the position indicated in dash-dotted lines.
In the embodiment shown, the two elements 8, 9 of the evaporator 7 are connected in series with respect to the direction of flow of the outside air to be cooled.
The evaporator element on which this air is first applied is then defrosted, while the other element cools the outside air to be supplied. The evaporator element that has been subjected to defrosting:
serves at the same time as an additional condenser for the refrigerant, in that only liquid, not yet decompressed refrigerant flows to it, and then the same. seen in the flow direction of the refrigerant. is located in front of the Enispanntuigsventil 12. To switch the Ve-dainpfereleinente 8, 9 to cooling the outside air or. defrosting can be activated with the help of the Uin # switching elements 10.
11 and the rotary flap IC) <It @ continuously, periodically reach.
The outside air cooled in the evaporator 7 leaves the same through an opening 17 in order to then get into the space, not shown, which is to be ventilated. This can be a shelter, a fortress room blasted into rocks, a shaft room and the like. In the horizontal position of the rotary flap 15, much less air flows to the evaporator 7 than in the vertical position of the same, so that the outside air still reaching the evaporator 7 in the first case, since the output of the refrigeration device remains unchanged, is essential is cooled more deeply than with a normal flow of outside air.
The consequence of this is. that in the incoming outside air any warfare agents contained in the evaporator 7, if not completely, then at least for the greater part are condensed, whereby they collect in a space 19 of the evaporator 7 provided with an outlet 18. 20 is a fresh water line.
The evaporator can be subdivided into more than two elements which, with respect to the direction of flow of the outside air to be cooled, can either all be arranged in series or partly in parallel and partly in series. Of these elements, a certain number can periodically be switched to cooling the outside air and the rest to defrosting.
At most, the various evaporator elements, in order to defrost them, can be equipped individually or in groups with a hot water sprinkling device. For sprinkling, heated cooling water can be used in the condenser of the cooling device.
