Le fonctionnement de l'installation repré sentée est le suivant: Lorsque la manette 15 est amenée dansla position (représentée sur le dessin) pour k- quelle la soupape 41 est ouverte, l'air com primé provenant de la source extérieure vient provoquer le déplacement du piston 46 contre l'action du ressort 47, la tige 48 est entraînée dans le sens de la flèche et, avant que l'extrémité de ladite tige ne vienne buter contre le couteau 58, la came 49 provoque l'ouverture de la soupape 54;
Compressed air control installation for at least one pressurized gas generator with at least one free piston. The invention relates to a compressed air control installation of at least one pressurized gas generator with at least one free piston, this installation comprising a servomotor moving a control part, which, brought into a first position, causes the filling with compressed air of a starting capacity of the generator, and which, brought into a second position, causes the opening of a valve so as to allow the compressed air contained in the starting capacity in a space where it acts on the free piston to start the latter, the displacement of this control part from the first to the,
second position causing the interruption of the commu- nication between the starting capacity and a source of compressed air which supplies it.
The installation according to the invention is characterized by a locking device opposing the passage of the control part from the first to the second position as long as the pressure in the starting capacity is less than a determined value, the everything being so arranged that when the control part has been brought by the servomotor to the first position and the pressure in the starting capacity has reached this determined value, the locking device releases this control part, which can then be brought to the second position by the servomotor.
The single figure of the drawing shows schematically, by way of example, an embodiment of the installation according to the invention.
The compressed air generator controlled by this installation comprises a motor cylinder 16 surrounded by a sealed housing 17. In this cylinder are arranged the driving elements 18 of two free pistons connected to each other by a mechanism @de synchronization (not shown by the drawings), These elements

by a conduit 62 with a cylinder 63 in which slides against the action of a return spring a piston 64 coupled to a knife 65 limiting the downward stroke of the rod 48.
The cam 50 is arranged so that it can come, after the knife 58 has been erased, cause the opening of an Elouipape 66 allowing the conduit 55 to be put into communication with a light 67 opening into the air. free, and thus ensure the launch of the machine.
The cam 51 is arranged similarly so that it can come, after removal of the knife 65, ensure the opening of a valve 68 allowing, when it is open, the discharge of the cylinder 36 to the atmosphere through a light 69.
The operation of the installation shown is as follows: When the lever 15 is brought into the position (shown in the drawing) for which the valve 41 is open, the compressed air coming from the external source causes the displacement. of the piston 46 against the action of the spring 47, the rod 48 is driven in the direction of the arrow and, before the end of said rod abuts against the knife 58, the cam 49 causes the opening of the valve 54;
the compressed air supplied by the duct c then comes to fill, passing through the duct 55 and the valve 30, first of all the interior of the piston 25, then the cylinder 56, which has the effect of causing the erasing the knife 58, thus allowing the rod 48 to continue its movement in the direction of the arrow. This complementary movement causes the cam 50 to cause the opening of the valve 66, while the cam 49 exceeds the rocker 53, which allows the valve 54 to close; the cylinder 29 empties of the compressed air contained therein, the piston 28, whose two faces are no longer subjected to the same pressure, moves, bringing with it the valve 26, and the compressed air contained in it The interior of the fixed piston 25 expands into the space 24, thus ensuring the launch of the free pistons of the machine.
The valve 26 then remains open while the machine is running. If it is now desired to cause the generator to stop, it suffices to bring the lever 15 into a position for which the valve 41 is closed and the groove 52 ensures that the cylinder 45 is placed in communication with the atmosphere sphere. The same movement of the lever 15 causes the exhaust of the air in the space 24 and the piston 25, which at the same time allows the opening of the relief valve 31 of the low pressure cylinder and of the corresponding valve of the high pressure compressor cylinder, as well as the return of the knife 58 to its locked position.
As a result of putting the cylinder 45 in communication with the atmosphere, the rod 48 is urged by the spring 47 of the servomotor, in the opposite direction to that of the arrow; the cam 49 causes the opening of the valve 59, and the piston <B> 35 </B> is held in the high position by the pressurized air coming from the duct c, which has the effect of interrupting operation of the injection pump 9.
This air pressure suffices gains aloms, by the conduit 61 (of which the thimble blocked in the cylinder <B> 36 </B> is @ d-emas.- qué when the piston 35 is in high position), the cylinder 38; the piston 40 is moved and the hige 37 brings the free pistons into the starting position.
At the end of the stroke, the piston 40 unmasks the outlet of the conduit 62 and the compressed air acts on the piston 64 to cause the knife 65 to erase.
The rod 48 can then continue its downward movement and the cam 51 causes the opening of the valve 68, therefore the unloading of the cylinder 36. At the same time, the valve 59 closes. The pistons 35 and 40 are therefore withdrawn from the action of the pressurized air, the rod 37 is retracted in the cylinder 38 and the pusher 34 is again able to operate. The machine is therefore ready for a new launching operation.
The cylinders 38 and 63 unload themselves very quickly as a result of leaks which, even relatively large, do not interfere with the operation just described.
A pressure gauge 70 is connected to the discharge of the low pressure compressor stage of the generator. An operating hours totalizer 71, provided with a control shaft 72, is connected to a drive shaft controlled by a clock not shown, by means of a worm and a control device. Coupling arranged so that this totalizing device is only in service when the generator delivers compressed air. This device comprises for this purpose a dog clutch 73 which is brought into the active position by a piston 74 mounted in a cylinder 75 connected to the discharge of the low pressure compressor stage of the generator.
When the generator provides work, the intermediate pressure between the two compressor stages is established and the compressed air lifts the piston 74 and causes the clutch 73 to engage with a corresponding element integral with the shaft 72. The totalized tor 71 thus records the movement of the clock. As soon as the generator stops, the intermediate pressure acting on the piston 74 disappears and the device 71 is put out of service.
In the case of a control installation for several generators, it will be advantageous, to ensure regular wear of all the generators, to provide each of them with a totalizer and to take into account the indications supplied by these generators. various totalizers in order to ensure that all generators have approximately the same number of operating hours.
