Eiserzeugungsanlage.
Ice making plant. The invention relates to an ice making system with a compression refrigeration machine, in which the ice attaches to the outside of the evaporator and is defrosted at regular intervals.
The invention makes it possible to make such an ice-making system more efficient and thus more economical in that the time required to defrost the ice from the evaporator can be reduced to a minimum.
For this purpose, according to the present invention, a heat zone is provided at least approximately at the top and bottom end of the evaporator, on which heat zones no over-freezing occurs. In this way, ice accumulations can be generated on the outer surface of the evaporator, which can easily be detached from the evaporator during defrosting at the lower and upper end his.
In the accompanying drawing, an example embodiment of the inven tion subject is illustrated in a simplified presen- tation, namely: Fig. 1 is partly an elevation of an ice-making system and partly a section along the line II of FIG. 2 through a container for the frozen water and the evaporator tubes of this system,
and FIG. 2 is partly a plan view of FIG. 1 and partly a section along the line II-II in FIG. 1 through the freezing water container and the evaporator pipes.
In the figures, 1 denotes a freezing water container to which fresh water flows through a line 2. The over occurs of fresh water from line 2 in the container 1 is controlled by a float valve 3.
In the following, 4 denotes the compressor, 5 the condenser and 6 the regulating valve designed as a throttle valve of a compression refrigeration unit, which has several evaporators, each consisting of a tube which is arranged perpendicular to the container 1 and on which the water turns into ice should freeze. Each of these evaporator tubes is made up of an outer tube 7 and a shorter inner tube 8, which together define a cylindrical cavity and an annular space.
At the upper end and near the lower end of each evaporator is a heat zone 9 respectively. 20 provided. Liquid refrigerant flows to the heat zones through lines 101, which are connected to a line 10 connected to a finite condensation chamber of condenser 5. In this Lei device 10 there is the pressure to which the refrigerant of the refrigeration machine from the compressor 4 has been brought.
So there is the delivery pressure of the compressor. The liquid refrigerant can pass through lines 111 and 11 from the heat zones 9 to the regulating valve ti and from there through lines 12 and 121 to the cavities between the outer tube 7 and the inner tube 8 of the various evaporator tubes. The refrigerant vapors forming in the evaporator tubes - a consequence of the fact that heat is extracted from the water in the container 1 - are sucked in by the compressor 4 through lines 131 and 13 and compressed again.
Because the inner tubes are made shorter than the outer tubes 7, the heat zone 20 is created at the upper end of each vaporization tube. The heat zones 20 are arranged on the evaporator and the refrigerant is directed inside the evaporator in such a way that the inside of the tank 1 The water contained is able to keep the outer surface of these zones above the freezing temperature of the water when the refrigerator is running, so that the zones 20 are also not frozen over. 14 is a not shown manner as a function of time.
Automatically adjustable valve that is built into a bypass 15 that connects the pressure line 16 of the compressor 4 with an open valve 14 directly to a point behind the regulating valve 6 (viewed in the direction of flow of the refrigerant).
17 denotes star wheels arranged above the evaporator tubes, which are arranged in pairs on both sides of an associated evaporator tube and rotate in opposite directions so that they detect the ice cylinders 18 which are detached from the evaporator tubes during defrosting and are open at the bottom and top and can shatter them.
19 denotes an ejector device formed as an endless belt with radially protruding ribs, which removes the ice debris floating in the container 1 on the frozen water from this container.
The mode of operation of the ice making system described should already be clear on the basis of the preceding description. Consequently, it should only be mentioned that the valve 14 is normally closed while the refrigeration machine is running. Ice cylinders 18 then gradually form on the outer evaporator tubes 7; the heat zones 9 and 20 remain ice-free, however, since more heat is supplied to them than the refrigerant evaporating in the evaporator tubes is able to extract from these zones.
After an adjustable time, which is made dependent on the thickness of the ice cylinders forming on the evaporator tubes, it then automatically opens the valve 14, whereupon the refrigerant vapors compressed by the compressor 4 from the pressure line 16 through the bypass 15 directly into the line 12 behind the regulating valve 6 and from there through the lines 121 into the cavities between the outer and inner evaporator 7 respectively. 8 can reach. So that the defrosting of the Eiszylin 18, which have attached to the evaporator tubes, is initiated.
Since the ice cyliners 18 are open at the lower and upper ends, they detach themselves in a very short time from the outer pipes 7, which are now more internally heated, where they float up in the freezing water and are captured by the star wheels 17. Since (read the opening and closing valve 14 depending on the time is set so that only ice cylinders 18 of a few millimeters thick can form, the star wheels 17 are easily able to shatter these cylinders.
The ice pieces floating on top of the freezing water in the container 1 are continuously removed from the container by the endless belt 19.
If desired, the upper heat zones can also be connected to the pressure line 10.
At least the lower heat zones, instead of being connected to the pressure line of the compressor of the refrigeration machine, can be connected to the space of the condenser of the refrigeration machine through which the cooling liquid flows, so that the heated cooling liquid flows to those zones.
If desired, the heat zones provided on the evaporators, at least as far as those below are concerned, can be connected to a container to which external heat is supplied to heat up a heat transfer medium contained therein, or to a point in the lubricant circuit of the compressor through which the Lubricant heated by the compressor flows.
If necessary, devices can also be provided in conjunction with the evaporator tubes which, after the bypass 15 has been released, allow cold liquid to be drained from the evaporator tubes, for example into an air chamber arranged close to the evaporator.
The surfaces of the refrigeration machine evaporator on which the ice attaches can, for example, also be flat. Surfaces be formed from.
