Procedure to avoid the pumping effect with rotating pressure generators. It is known that circulating pressure generators, such as blowers, fans, compressors, pumps, "pump" at small delivery quantities, which is due to the falling pressure / delivery quantity characteristics.
In order to avoid "pumping" in the company, the means of "blowing off" is therefore often resorted to when the useful flow rate is small, by operating the pressure generator at a flow rate that is above the pump limit and by the consumer Unneeded delivery rate is blown off into the open via a slide parallel to the consumer.
It has also been proposed that the excess flow rate in a turbine beit work instead of destroying their pressure energy by throttling; the turbine takes over part of the drive power of the pressure generator. In all of these cases, at the delivery rates below the pump limit, the pressure generator wheel delivers a larger amount than is required by the consumer, and the wheel must therefore also be supplied with greater energy than the delivery rate required by the consumer.
Some of the too much energy put into the wheel can be recovered if the excess flow is fed into a turbine; But a part remains lost according to the machine losses, and an additional machine is required which would not be necessary without the pump unit.
The purpose of the present invention is to prevent "pumping" without sending an excessive delivery rate through the wheel of the pressure generator; it assumes that the falling pressure-delivery rate characteristic and thus that pumps are mainly due to the loss of the wheel exit speed when the wheel passes into the housing. Consequently, these losses must be avoided as far as possible, especially in the case of small amounts of support.
According to the present invention, this is achieved with rotating pressure generators in that, in the case of small delivery quantities, in the space adjoining the wheel outlet, e.g. B. the spiral, an additional funding is performed. This additional Fördermit tel is advantageously at Druckerzeu ger itself a point of higher pressure, z. B. taken from the outlet of the diffuser after the spiral or the outlet line of the relevant stage or another point of higher pressure.
The additional conveying quantity does not flow through the wheel, but only the spiral and the diffuser, for example; it then experiences a pressure increase in the diffuser, after reaching a certain pressure, z. B. after flow men through a part or the whole diffuser, branched off from the useful amount and the Spi rale again fed, expanding to the lower pressure prevailing at the feed point; the expansion into the spiral can be impeded by nozzle-like openings.
Except for its own losses, the circuit of the auxiliary air can: maintain itself; To cover the losses it needs a small amount of external energy. The latter takes place advantageously by taking over part of the speed energy of the useful air supplied by the wheel, in that this always gives the additional air the lost energy of the additional circuit.
The wheel only promotes the poor; It therefore only has to be supplied with the amount of energy corresponding to the amount of useful air, increased by the small amount of energy lost in the additional air circuit, but not the total energy that corresponds to the pressure increase of useful air and additional air, as is the case with the known blow-off procedure the case is. The turbo pressure generator is accordingly pump-free with optimal efficiency and flow conditions without additional useless energy generation in the wheel and without a blow-off device and expansion machine.
The invention is particularly suitable in connection with 1VZehrspi.ra.ldruckerzeuger, which on the circumference have several partial spirals with adjoining diffusers, since the spiral spaces to be filled in this case are smaller than with only one spiral or with annular space designs The amount of additional air is therefore also smaller, and structurally more favorable conditions also result for the return paths for the additional air.
At full load, the additional air path is advantageously completely shut off, and additional air only needs to be introduced into the volute if it would be close to the surge limit without introducing it. A throttle body in the addition airway z. B. actuated at a certain För quantity and. Brought to a certain opening value; this can be achieved suddenly or continuously depending on the delivery rate.
The setting of the throttle device can also be done automatically, for. B. as a function of the useful or total air flow rate or some other suitable variable, e.g. B. a print at any point of the pressure generator, z. B. at the step outlet or in the spiral or in the diffuser.
The method is explained using the accompanying drawing, which shows a single-stage pressure generator. The pressure generator has the wheel 1, the four partial spiral housings 2, the adjoining diffusers 3 and the manifolds 4 connecting the diffuser outlets, which collects the conveying means from the four outlets and feeds it to the outlet line 5.
The additional air is fed to the individual spiral sections in an approximately tangential direction through inlet lines 6 which lead to nozzle-like inlet openings 7. The inlet lines 6 are evenly distributed over the four partial spirals ver; however, they can also be attached to the diffusers. The additional air is taken from the outlet pipe 5 through a connector 8 and fed to the inlet lines 6 with the aid of a distribution line 9.
The path of the additional air is shown for one of the four partial paths by the dashed line drawn drawn 11, the path of the useful air through the dashed line 10 indicated.
It is readily apparent that the additional air only circulates where it is needed, namely in the fixed part and not in the wheel, and that you therefore do not need to be informed of the energy that corresponds to the pressure generated in the wheel, in the In contrast to those known solutions that prevent the "pumping" generators simply by additional flow in the whole pressure (wheel and housing) and blow off the additional amount at the outlet from the pressure generator or expand the unsuccessfully generated pressure dersel ben again via a turbine.
In the example described, the additional air always remains above the pressure level generated by the wheel, its pressure is increased in diffusers 3 above the same, just like the pressure of the useful delivery rate. In the return lines 8, 9, especially in the inlet lines 6 and the inlet openings 7, the pressure generated in the diffuser is converted back into speed. As a result of the losses in 3, 6, 7 and 8, 9 is slightly less pressure height available for expansion than in the diffuser 3 it is generated.
The additional air entering at the openings is somewhat accelerated by the main air emerging from the wheel 1; it takes over from it the small deficit of energy corresponding to the losses in the additional circuit.
The useful air can no longer fizzle out when coming out of the wheel 1 into the spirals 2, since the additional air that enters the spiral space at 7 is in the way. The pressure, which would mainly drop as a result of the deflagration of the conveying medium in the spiral space which is too large for the small conveying quantities, remains at an approximately constant level even with small conveying quantities and "pumping" does not occur.
In order to change the additional air delivery rate, a throttle element 12 is shown in the line 8, which, by hand or by itself, releases the path for the additional air in the case of small useful air delivery rates. The organ 12 can be controlled depending on the pressure at the outlet of the stage or another pressure, the För amount of the useful or total air or the Haurptsohieber 13, in such a way that it usually only opens at small delivery rates to a constant opening or one that is dependent on the delivery rate.
In the first case, it only needs a single switching process for the organ 1'2, as this opens and closes at a certain amount.
The additional delivery rate could also be taken from the line 4 or from a point in the diffusers 3. The extraction can also be taken for each spiral individually from the outlet lines from the diffusers and overflow lines to the next stage or at any other point, especially in the case of multi-stage designs where there is no need for a collecting line 4 in the multi-spiral design.
The introductions into the spiral can also receive a wide variety of constructive solutions such. B. Variety of inlet openings or longitudinal slots along entire spirals. The conversion of pressure back into speed can take place continuously from 5 to 7 instead of in a nozzle 7 by gradually decreasing the cross-sections of 8, 6, 7.
