Briquet. L'objet de la présente invention est un briquet comprenant un boîtier à couvercle renfermant une mèche imprégnée de combus tible liquide et un dispositif d'allumage, ca ractérisé en ce que ce dernier comprend deux molettes, coopérant chacune avec sa propre pierre pyrophorique et solidaires chacune d'une roue d'entraînement dépassant légère ment -à l'extérieur du boîtier à proximité d'un bouton commandant le déverrouillage du couvercle.
Le dessin ci-annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution du briquet faisant l'objet de l'invention.
La fig. 1 en est une vue en élévation, la fig. 2 une vue de profil partie en coupe, et la fig. 3 une vue en. plan partie en coupe.
Dans la forme d'exécution représentée, le briquet présente un boîtier 1 comprenant un réservoir contenant la mèche imprégnée de combustible liquide. Le boîtier renferme le mécanisme d'allumage à deux molettes. Cha cune de ces deux molettes 2 est montée sur un pivot horizontal avec une roue d'entraîne- ment 3dont elle est solidaire et qui dépasse légèrement à l'extérieur du boîtier à la partie supérieure de l'un des petits côtés. Les mo lettes sont disposées dans deux plans conver gents dont l'intersection correspond à l'axe de l'ouverture .du réservoir par laquelle sort l'extrémité de la mèche 4 que l'on allume.
Chacune des molettes coopère avec une pierre pyrophorique 5 disposée verticalement au- dessous de la molette de manière à appuyer sur la denture taillée à la périphérie des mo lettes. Les roues d'entraînement 3 sont mole tées pour augmenter l'adhérence du pouce sur leur pourtour.
La flamme est protégée de part et d'autre par un paravent ajouré et est d'un accès fa cile par une ouverture ménagée dans la par tie supérieure du boîtier. Le couvercle 6 est en forme de U pour fermer également les paravents ajourés. Un verrou à ressort 7 re tient le couvercle en position fermée. Un bouton poussoir 8 permet de déverrouiller le couvercle et un ressort de charnière 9 ouvre alors automatiquement ce couvercle. Le bou- ton poussoir 8 est. placé à, la partie supé rieure du petit côté du boîtier sur lequel sont disposées les roues d'entraînement. 3 des mo lettes.
Les axes de ces roues 3 sont situés dans le même plan horizontal et ces roues dépassent à l'extérieur du boîtier par deux ouvertures dont les centres sont situés au- dessous du bouton 8. L'axe de celui-ci est si tué dans le plan bisecteur du dièdre formé par les plans médians des roues 3. Cette dis position permet d'ouvrir et d'allumer le bri quet en un seul mouvement du pouce.
L'avantage de ce briquet est de présenter une sûreté d'allumage double grâce aux deux molettes travaillant chacune avec sa propre pierre pyrophorique.

In the embodiment shown, the lighter has a housing 1 comprising a reservoir containing the wick impregnated with liquid fuel. The housing houses the two-wheel ignition mechanism. Each of these two knobs 2 is mounted on a horizontal pivot with a drive wheel 3 which it is integral with and which protrudes slightly outside the casing at the upper part of one of the short sides. The mats are arranged in two converging planes, the intersection of which corresponds to the axis of the opening .du reservoir through which the end of the wick 4 which is lit comes out.
Each of the wheels cooperates with a pyrophoric stone 5 disposed vertically below the wheel so as to press on the teeth cut at the periphery of the strips. The drive wheels 3 are mole tees to increase the grip of the thumb around their periphery.
The flame is protected on both sides by a perforated screen and is easily accessible through an opening in the upper part of the housing. The cover 6 is U-shaped to also close the perforated screens. A spring latch 7 holds the cover in the closed position. A push button 8 unlocks the cover and a hinge spring 9 then automatically opens this cover. Pushbutton 8 is. placed at, the upper part of the small side of the housing on which the drive wheels are arranged. 3 of the carpets.
The axes of these wheels 3 are located in the same horizontal plane and these wheels protrude outside the housing through two openings, the centers of which are located below the button 8. The axis of the latter is if killed in the bisecting plane of the dihedron formed by the median planes of the wheels 3. This dis position allows the briquet to be opened and lit in a single movement of the thumb.
The advantage of this lighter is to have a double ignition safety thanks to the two knobs, each working with its own pyrophoric stone.
