Fig. 2 ist ein Querschnitt durch den rohrförmigen.
Wheel axle for steered wheels of road vehicles. The invention relates to a wheel axle for steered wheels of road driving testify with a tubular axle body and attached full fist pieces for receiving the stub axles.
The purpose of the invention is to create a simple and flawless connec tion between the fist pieces and the axle body. This is achieved in that the axle body is composed of two sheet metal parts with a U-shaped profile and, at its ends, encompasses fastening extensions of the fist pieces in such a way
that these extensions rest on the inside of the seams of the axle body, the weld seams of the U-shaped sheet metal parts at these points also being welded connections between the fist pieces and the axle body.
Advantageously, the longitudinal welds of the axle body are in the neutral zone with respect to the main bending stresses, whereby the web surfaces of the two U-shaped sheet metal parts that form the tension and compression straps of the axle body can be reinforced by sheet metal strips welded on the inside.
These belt reinforcements are expediently led almost to the ends of the axle body, with the fastening extensions of the fist pieces resting against the unreinforced wall zones in between.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the subject invention is illustrated.
Fig. 1 shows partially in longitudinal section, the left part of a wheel axle.
Fig. 2 is a cross section through the tubular. Axle body along the line 1.I-II of Fig. 1, and
FIG. 3 is a longitudinal section along the line III-III of FIG. 1.
The axle beam 1 consists of the main search. two in profile U-shaped sheet share 2, 2 ', which through. Longitudinal weld seams 3, 3 ', which lie in the zone which is neutral with respect to the main bending stresses, are connected. The ends 4, 4 'of the axle body are slightly narrowed and enclose fastening projections 5, 5' of the fist piece 6, which is provided with a bore 7 for receiving the left axle journal, not shown.
The web surfaces 8, 8 'of the U-shaped sheet metal parts 2, 2' are reinforced by sheet metal strips 3, 9 'welded on the inside. The latter are guided almost to the ends 4, 4 'of the axle body 1. From FIGS. 1 and 3 it can be seen how the fastenings 5, 5 'of the fist piece 6 rest against the unreinforced wall zones of the ends 4, 4' of the axle body 1.
The weld seams 3, 3 'of the U-shaped sheet metal parts 2, 2' are at the same time welded connections between the fist piece 6, respectively. its extensions 5, 5 'and the axle beam 1. For, the edition of the not. Vehicle springs shown in more detail are in a known manner support plates 10, which are provided with screw holes 11, the IN ANY. These support plates are, as can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2, supported by box-shaped sheet metal pieces 12, 12 'from the side.
