Heald, in particular for producing endless fabrics. To produce various special tissues, especially those that have to be woven endlessly for technical purposes, wire strands that are open on one side have been used so far, the legs of which twisted helically above the eye a few times, but were not soldered.
On the one hand, the heald could be twisted onto the bed thread; on the other hand, the depth of the heald shaft or The bed thread cutting or jumping out, if not always prevented, then at least limited.
The repeated turning of the strand during. Pulling the thin wire onto the bed thread, straightening it and straightening it, which is often necessary, was not only an extremely time-consuming work process that had to be followed by a similar process when unscrewing the strand, but the sensitive strands were also subject to one. due to great wear and tear and must be replaced after a short period of use.
The much more resistant flat steel strands, which are often used with good success in the rest of the weaving mill, could not be considered for the above-mentioned purpose because they had a closed eye.
The present invention now relates to a heddle, in particular for manufacture. endless fabric, which is characterized by the fact that it consists of two interconnected parts made of flat material and that its eye can be opened to one end of the strand, in such a way that
that half a turn of the strand around its longitudinal axis turning on the BEZW. turning off the bed thread allows.
\ Flat material is to be understood as a work staff whose width is one or more times the thickness.
By using flat material (with, for example, a rectangular or elliptical cross-section), it is possible to achieve much more resistant strands than the wire strands previously used. the service life of the strands is thereby considerably increased, on the one hand, but the need for maintenance work and repairs on the strands is also reduced to a minimum on the other hand.
What is even more important is that the process of inserting the kea thread into the braid is easier than with the wire braids known up to now. The same is such that the strand is pulled onto the tensioned Keat thread by a rotating movement around its longitudinal axis (hence the expression "twisting"). The strand of wire now has to be rotated several times to get the strand in to put the right position
while with a heddle according to the present invention, half a turn is sufficient to pull the heddle onto the warp thread.
The weaving itself is also encouraged by the good condition of the strands. The strands according to the present invention are expediently designed at the ends (end eyes) in such a way that the strands cannot rotate after being pulled onto the shaft rod or the shaft strip.
In the production of endless fabrics, the strands have to be taken down again after the weaving process has ended. the kea threads are removed from the strands.
In the case of strands according to the present invention, this process again requires only half a turn of the strands, in the opposite direction than when the warp threads are inserted (hence the term "twisting out"), while the wire strands again require repeated and therefore time-consuming rotation is required. The strand according to the present invention thus represents a significant technical advance in a wide variety of ways.
Embodiments of the subject invention are shown in the accompanying drawing.
1, 2 and 3 show part of a strand in elevation, in side view and in horizontal section through the eye. Fig. 4 and 5 show another Ausfüh approximately example in elevation and in a horizontal section through the eye.
6 and 7 show two further exemplary embodiments in elevation, and FIGS. 8 and 9 illustrate yet another exemplary embodiment in elevation and in side view.
1 and 1 'are the two parts made of flat material, such as steel. 2 is the connection point of the parts, which can be, for example, a rivet or a weld point. 4 represents the eye of the strand.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, 3 and 3 'are the cutouts from the parts 1, 1' which form the eye 4. The two parts 1. 1 'also run parallel to one another in the case of the eye 4; part 1 remains at the front for the entire length of the strand and part 1 'remains at the back. The plane of the eye 4 is inclined to the plane of the adjacent strand parts.
In the embodiment example according to FIGS. 4 and 5, the parts 1, 1 'in the case of the eye 4 have Kröpfun.gen 5, 5' in such a way that the parts 1, 1 'can exchange their positions with one another; that is, part 1 runs from top front to bottom back, part 1 'from top back to bottom front.
In the embodiment according to Fi, g. 6, in contrast to the prescribed strands, the eye is not formed by cutouts in parts 1, 1 ', but by lateral bends 6, 6' of the same and the plane of the eye is also rotated relative to the plane of the adjacent strand parts. The parts 1, 1 'also run in the eye. 4 parallel to each other, so that part 1 always stays in front and part 1 'always stays behind.
The embodiment according to FIG. 7 corresponds to the preceding one with the difference. that, in addition to the lateral bends 6, 6 ', there are also bends 5, 5', as in the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 5, are present so that part 1 can run from top front to bottom back and part 1 'can run from top back to bottom front. The eye is twisted here too.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 8 and 9, cutouts 3, 3 'from the parts 1, 1' enable the eye 4 to be formed by bends 7, 7 'transversely to the plane of the adjacent strand parts.
In all of these exemplary embodiments, the eye can be opened towards one end of the strand, in such a way that half a turn of the strand about its longitudinal axis results in the turning on the respectively. allows the warp thread to be twisted out.
The strands described are primarily suitable and intended for the production of endless fabrics, but can also be used for other fabrics, especially when it is a question of replacing a strand that has become unusable without tearing off the corresponding bed thread. In this case, the defective strand can be cut open with scissors or pliers and removed and then replaced by one of the strands described.
