dull glass roof. In the known putty-free glass roofs, the glass edge is bound inside and outside with lead. This method of binding has the disadvantage of using a lot of lead.
This disadvantage helps the present invention from; it consists in the fact that the glass panels are bound with lead on the top, but are sealed by other means on the underside.
In the accompanying drawing, Fig. 1 shows a cross section through the previously known double-sided integration by means of lead, the large lead requirement being illustrated by the large cross-sectional area shown in black.
Fig. 2-5 show four inventive embodiments in the same presen- tation as Fig. 1, with only the glass panels on the upper side embedding, fully drawn parts are made of lead.
According to the exemplary embodiment according to the invention shown in FIG. 2, the central rib 8 supporting the tabs 2, which bind the glass plates 1 on their upper side, ends in a foot 4, which forms a T-profile with the central rib and on the roof rung 5, in two dimensions is supported with a bituminous intermediate layer 6. The lobes, midrib, and foot are made of lead. The flanges of the foot 4 are each pressed against the intermediate layer 6 by a profiled plate 7 which is fastened to the rung 5 by means of screws 8. The outer free ends of the plates 7 are bent back to form cylinder segments, the apex of which is placed against the glass panels 1 sealing.
Wood or synthetic resin, for example, can be used as the material for the plates 7. These plates 7 form the sealing members of the glass panels against the interior of the building.
Any water penetrating between the glass panels 1 and the cloth 2 gets into the spaces 9 and, since the roof is always inclined, even if only weakly at times, it flows on the plates 7 and on the lower edge of the roof into the open air. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 3, the central rib 3 with its foot 4 does not go down to the intermediate layer 6 on the rung 5, with the shortening of the central rib a further saving in lead is achieved. The foot rests on one side on a console 10 and is prevented from going upwards by an overhanging part. The console 10 is connected on one side by a strip 11 with a bar 12 concave against the glass panels.
To seal this bar 12 against the glass panel 1 is in the concave top of the bar, a sealing material, for. B. a bitumen soaked tow 13 is inserted. On the side of the joint center opposite the mentioned bar, a bar 12 provided with an impregnated tow as a sealing material is also provided, which has a strip 11 on the inside with a hoof bend 14 at the free end. This hoof bend is. arranged in such a way that it directs seepage water into the space 9 onto the strip 11, on which it flows out of the roof.
In the example according to FIG. 4, the foot 15 of the central rib 3 consists of a strip bent at right angles, which is clamped to the console 1.0 by means of a screw 16 and a rail 17, with the screw 16 simultaneously for Attachment of the console to the rung 5 is used. On both sides of the joint are the support strips 12, which are connected to the console by strips 11, for the glass panels with the sealing materials 13 inserted therein.
The execution example shown in Fig. 5 is particularly suitable for the quick and easy replacement of individual glass panels. The lead flaps covering the edges of the glass panel are connected to one another by a continuous lead strip 18 which forms a dovetail-shaped fold in the middle of the joint. In this fold trapezoidal blocks 19 are inserted in cross section. On the two lobes sitting on a bracket or plate 20 is placed and connected by means of a screw bolt 21 to the block 1.9. The bolt pulls the block against the bracket 20 and thus braces the tabs 2 with the intervening strip 18 with the bracket.
The strip part forming the dovetail-shaped fold is gripped by U-shaped parts 22 made of resistant material which prevent said strip part from being deformed by the block when the screw 21 is tightened. The parts 22 are each approximately as long as a block 19 to serve the same as an abutment and are surrounded by a channel 23 which is screwed to the roof rung 5 by means of screws 24 ben.
On both sides of this gutter put with screws 8 on the rung be strengthened, profiled plates, which form the channels 9 at the edges of the glass panels, in which the seepage water drains and which plates through one or more arches against the glass plates 1 the seal produce. If a glass panel is to be replaced, the bracket 20 is first removed by loosening the screw bolts 21 and the tab 2, on the side of which the glass panel is to be replaced, is bent open and the panel is replaced.
A variant of this embodiment is that the channel 23 is omitted and the plate with its bent bent parts directly to the parts 22 puts. A glass panel is replaced in the same way as described above.
