Method for determining the cutting outline of garments. As is well known, the tailor must first mark and cut the garment on the basis of his measurements according to a normal body, whereupon the garment is stapled in order to then make the corrections during a fitting that result from the softening of the body the person for whom the garment is intended, from the normal body of the same tailor's mass.
Trying on means for the customer a certain inconvenience and confusion with regard to the fit and shape and for the tailor a lovely loss of time; In addition, the tailor has to reckon with fabric additions for these corrections, which are then lost.
Because certain individual body shapes do not have any effect during normal measurements and the determination of the contour line to be cut on this basis, the previous methods require fitting and subsequent corrections and material losses cannot be avoided. The subject matter of the present invention is a method for determining the contour line to be cut of items of clothing, characterized in that a vertical line is held tangentially to the person,
and a resulting deviation in the horizontal direction of your body from a normal body of the same tailor's dimensions is used to correct the provisional outline produced according to the tailor's dimensions by placing points on the provisional outline at the same level as the deviation by the amount and in The direction of this deviation can be shifted,
while at all other points the shift is proportional to the vertical distance of the points from the horizontal plane through the middle of the armpits and the points which lie on the opposite side of this horizontal plane to the deviation are shifted in the opposite direction.
An example of the method for determining the cutting outline of a piece of clothing is explained with reference to the accompanying drawing, namely: FIG. 1 shows the provisional cuts of the front and back of a men's skirt obtained in a known manner for a normal body on the basis of the previously customary recorded tailoring material with the indicated body of the person for whom the skirt is intended, and.
FIG. 2 shows the definitive cuts obtained according to the method example, in which a correction necessary earlier after the try-on was already taken into account during cutting, with these being shown in full lines, whereas the dashed contours are the provisional cuts shown in FIG respectively Outlines correspond.
3 schematically explains a further correction which can only be determined earlier by trying on and which is already taken into account here during cutting.
The line 1 represents the vertical through the middle 2 of the straight line connecting the middle of the armpits of the body 3. Since this line is not accessible, respectively. cannot be precisely determined, a line 1a is laid tangentially parallel to it in the symmetry plane of the body on its outside, expediently at the rear, to the most protruding point of the body, in this case the buttocks.
It is thus also possible to advantageously use known measuring devices. The horizontal plane 4 through .the point 2 respectively. In FIG. 1, the line of intersection with the plane of symmetry of the body intersects the outer edges 5 and 6 of the front part 7 and the rear part $ at points 9 and 10.
For the known corrections after he follows cutting and stapling, the deviations in the horizontal direction of the body 3 from a normal body of glei chen tailoring materials are authoritative, namely the horizontal deviations of individual essential, superimposed points, such. B. Buttocks, hips and shoulders. The deviations in the walking direction as well as the habitual lateral inclination of the body must be taken into account.
For the time being, the tailor's mass is picked up in the usual way. Then a vertical line, for example in the form of a conveniently provided with a foot, known per se, advantageously with graduation, is held on the person, so that the rod is the most protruding body part, z.
B. the buttocks affected. In the drawing, this line is denoted by la. Then the deviation of the measured body from a normal body of the same tailor's mass is determined and the provisional outline in FIG. 1 is produced according to the tailor's mass without taking the deviation into account.
In the present example, a correction in the walking direction of the provisor's cutting outline is discussed before a fitting. The side corrections are made using an analogous procedure.
It is the horizontal deviation x of the rearmost point 11 of the back in the horizontal BEZW. Horizontal plane 4 determined by the rear hip point 12,
because these points 11 and 12 are usually perpendicular to each other. This distance x results from the difference between the two measurements y and z from the perpendicular la, with a further perpendicular lb through the point 11 ge is thought.
For the practical determination of the distances <I> x, y, </I> z and <B> u </B>, the aforementioned known auxiliary device, consisting of a vertical rod held in a foot, which is placed on the body in such a way that they project the furthest part of it, according to the drawing the buttocks,
touched. From this bar, the distances y, z and z + u are then measured with the ruler in the horizontal direction and <I> x </I> and u are determined from this. The angle, the vertex of which is at point 11 and the size of which is determined by the base line x, is transferred to point 2 as the vertex by parallel legs.
The middle neck point, which corresponds to the intersection of the vertical 1 with the body 3, lies in a certain horizontal distance u from the vertical 1 b respectively. from point 11. It has been found that this distance can be assumed to be normal at approximately 8 cm. If there are now significant differences v from this normal distance of 8 cm for a person, they must be taken into account.
This happens because, ss such a difference is halved and this half is algebraically added or added to the distance x. this is enlarged or reduced.
If the difference v is positive, half of it is added to x, if it is negative, then it is subtracted, i.e. 8cm-m-v u less than 8 cm corresponds to a total deviation of
EMI0003.0014
as shown in Fig. 3 represents and
EMI0003.0016
u <SEP> greater <SEP> than <SEP> 8 <SEP> cm <SEP> corresponds to <SEP> x <SEP> - <SEP> z, <SEP>.
<tb> 9 When determining the definitive outline of the cut to be cut, these relationships are taken into account as follows: All points on the horizontal 4 through point 2 or in the horizontal plane 4 are not changed.
Thus, points 9 and 10, as well as the common point 13 of the two cut parts 7 and 8 experience no shift. On the other hand, one shifts all points on the horizontal 14 through the hip by the deviation x,
EMI0003.0020
in the same direction in which the point 12 is upstream of the point 11, so that, for example, the distance w remains the same in the provisional and in the definitive cut respectively. again makes up half the waist size plus a normal allowance for seams etc.
The boundary points of the cut parts above line 4 are moved backwards by the same angle with apex on 4 as those below this line 4 forwards. It is up to the cutter to make any practically necessary corrections for lapels and the like. In other words, taking into account only the deviation x, this means that the correction is made to the provisional outline in such a way that the points of the provisional outline, which are at the same height as the deviation x, by the amount and in the direction of travel this deviation x can be shifted.
At the same time, the shift to be made is changed proportionally to the vertical distance of the points from the horizontal plane 4 at all other points, while the points which are on the opposite side of this horizontal plane from the deviation x are to be moved in the opposite sense.
The process is equally suitable for: the entire men's as well as the entire women's wardrobe.
