Hratzentueh, consisting of rubberized fabric layers and a rubber cover plate. The invention relates to a scratch cloth made of rubberized fabric layers and a rubber cover plate according to the claim of the main patent. In the embodiment described in the main patent, the electrically conductive rubber cover plate is connected to a conductor dissipating the friction electricity generated during carding.
The good dissipation of the .electrostatic charge is the prerequisite for a flawless operation of the scratch cloth with electrically conductive rubber cover plate. The derivation can e.g. B. through the points of contact between the back of the hook and the drum surface.
In the scratch cloth described in the main patent, the individual hooks were primarily connected to one another by the electrically conductive rubber cover plate. The contact between the hook and the cover plate was only present at the puncture points in the form of a circular line. The invention now consists in improving the connection between the individual hooks to the effect that the underside of the scratch cloth is also provided with an electrically conductive layer, which is also made of rubber.
It was already known per se to apply a rubber layer to the underside of scratch cloths, but only for the purpose of making the scratch cloth more pliable.
By arranging an electrically conductive layer on the underside of a scratch cloth with an electrically conductive rubber cover plate, a more intimate connection of the individual hooks is now achieved in that each individual hook rests with the inside of its back on the rubber layer of the underside of the scratch cloth.
In the previous version of the scratch cloths, where only the contact between the hook and the cover plate took place at the puncture points, based on a wire diameter of 0.2 mm, for example, there was a line of contact of t1,? X: r = 0.628 mm given.
Since two puncture points are possible for a tick, the line of contact is j% (1.628 = 1.256mrn. In the case of the embodiment according to the present invention, the length of the back of the tick alone is equal to the electrically conductive layer on the underside in Contact comes, 3.5 mm, that is, that the line of contact is enlarged by more than three times.
The electrically conductive layer on the underside therefore ensures better distribution and thus better dissipation of the electrostatic electricity that occurs during the carding process.
The scratch cloths produced according to the invention are therefore characterized by a further reduction in emissions and thus in waste, which is of economic importance that should not be underestimated.
The application of the electrically conductive layer, in particular the rubber layer, to the underside is expediently carried out during the manufacture of the scratch cloth, so that the layer is firmly connected to the scratch cloth by vulcanization. The electrically conductive layer, in particular rubber slides, can, however, also be subsequently attached by other common means, such as gluing or the like.
A particular advantage is also to be seen compared to the application of rubber solution to the drum of a bard, since the invention no longer prevents the tension equalization that is absolutely necessary after the scratching cloth has been opened. It is necessary that the electrically conductive slide is already present on the underside of the lap cloth before the sting.
because only then is there adequate tension compensation after the scratching cloth has been opened '' '' '.
