Device for thermal control of the refrigerant circulation in refrigeration systems. The regulation of the amount of refrigerant that is to be evaporated in the evaporators of refrigerating machines is generally carried out in automatic systems by float valves, pressure regulators or thermostatic expansion valves.
The many advantages that thermostatically operating expansion valves have, have given these valves a priority. However, these have the disadvantage that a considerable temperature difference between the control point of the temperature-sensitive sensor of this valve and the evaporation temperature of the refrigerant in the evaporator is necessary in order to effect the regulation. This means that such valves could only be used for so-called dry evaporators,
in which the refrigerant does not circulate in the evaporator and the refrigerant is overheated by several degrees until it reaches the sensor. For these reasons, only poor utilization of the evaporator is possible when using the thermostatic valves. A scheme based on the thermal. Principle works and still the use of flooded evaporators or such Ver evaporators permitted, in which practically no temperature differences occur, would lead to a significant improvement in heat transfer and thus the Ver evaporator itself.
To make better use of the evaporator, so-called post-evaporator coils have been provided in which the refrigerant is overheated. However, if these snakes are to be effective, they must be made relatively large.
The invention, which relates to a device for thermally regulating the refrigerant circulation in refrigeration systems, consists in the refrigerant vapors exchanging heat with the liquid refrigerant coming from the condenser after they exit the evaporator, before they reach the temperature control point of the thermally actuated control element. This measure has the advantage that the suction vapors can be preheated to close to the condensation temperature and a wide temperature range can be available for regulation.
In addition, the invention enables the advantage that liquid droplets which have not yet evaporated in the evaporator are also sucked off and re-evaporated during the heat exchange mentioned. In this way complete utilization is dt; Evaporator allows and still ensured the temperature lwreicii necessary for the controller. At the same time, the liquid refrigerant is pre-cooled.
Although it is already known to precool the liquid refrigerant medium before entering the expansion valve by the vapors sucked from the evaporator abge.
In the case of these known ano-dnuugen, however, the temperature sensor was always arranged in the usual way in the evaporator, so that the evaporator, as described at the outset, was not fully utilized and the regulatory advantages of the invention did not occur.
When using different refrigerants, for example the refrigerant niittt @ l; Frigen, by utilizing the superheated steam for pre-cooling the liquid refrigerant, there is also an improvement in the efficiency and performance of the system.
An embodiment of the subject invention is in the Zciclinung provides Darge.
In the nozzle 1 occur the coming from the United evaporator refrigerant vapors, sweep through the interior 5 of the heat exchanger and are sucked through the nozzle 2 from the compressor of the refrigeration machine.
In countercurrent to this, the liquid refrigerant coming from the condenser is passed through the double jacket 6. This occurs through the nozzle 3 and leaves through the line 4, the double jacket in the direction of the expansion valve 7 and the evaporator, not shown.
The temperature-sensitive sensor 8 of the thermally actuated control element forming expansion valve 7 is expediently attached approximately to the middle of the exposed inner jacket of the heat exchanger or placed in the heat exchanger and therefore practically assumes the temperature that the vaporous cold medium has at this point . The latter is therefore operated by the vapors.
If the flow of refrigerant is too low in relation to the amount of heat to be dissipated, the refrigerant will be overheated at the installation point of the temperature-sensitive sensor, i.e. at the temperature control point.
If, on the other hand, the amount of heat to be dissipated is small and the refrigerant inflow is too large in relation to this, the refrigerant assumes the state of 8attdampfes. In the latter case, the sensor will close the valve so that the flow of refrigerant to the evaporator is throttled.
With increasing overheating, the valve 7 is opened more and more so that the evaporator is always filled with wet steam up to the heat exchanger and is fully utilized.
The temperature-sensitive sensor 8 can also be arranged ver adjustable on the inner jacket in order to be able to put it in certain limits of exposure to different overheating temperatures of the vapors.
In order to achieve better heat transfer between the refrigerant vapors and the liquid refrigerant in the heat exchanger, the heat exchange surface on the vapor side is expediently enlarged by Raschig rings that are introduced into space 5; the rings are useful with each other and with the wall good thermal conductivity, z. B. by hot-dip galvanizing connected.
The outlet connection 2 for the solvent vapors can usefully be designed as a dirt trap.
