Description
Belag für Strassen und Plätze. Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist ein Belag für Strassen und Plätze aus Bitumen oder einem mit Bitumen gebundenen Mineralgerüst.
Durch örtliche Setzungen, ferner durch Einwirkung von Frost und Wasser im Bau grund entstehen in derartigen Belägen mit der Zeit Risse, die eine vorzeitige Zerstörung des Belages herbeiführen. Ferner bilden sich in derartigen Belägen infolge Einwirkung der Verkehrslasten mit der Zeit Wellen, indem in der Belagsmasse seitliche Verschie bungen auftreten. Die Erfindung sucht nun diesen Mängeln zu begegnen durch die Ein bettung von Armierungsorganen von gegen über dem Belagsmaterial höherer Zugsfestig keit.
Nachstehend werden Ausführungsbeispiele des Erfindungsgegenstandes beschrieben.
Als Armierungsmaterial kommen beson ders zur Herstellung von Zugorganen, z. B. von Seilen, Schnüren und Drähten geeignete natürliche und künstliche Gespinstfasern bezw. Metalle in Frage. Die die biegsamen Armierungsorgane bildenden Zugorgane kön nen dabei zu geflochtenen, geknüpften oder geklammerten Netzen und Geflechten verar beitet oder derart einzeln im Belag verlegt sein, dass sie sich weder an den Kreuzungs stellen noch anderswo gegenseitig berühren.
Vorteilhaft werden die Armierungsorgane etwa auf halber Höhe zwischen einer Unter schicht und der Belagsoberfläche angeordnet. Bei zweischichtigen Belägen empfiehlt es sich, die Armierungsorgane in der untern Hälfte der obern Belagschicht, also der Deck schicht, anzuordnen. Bei drei- und mehr- schichtigen Belägen ist es empfehlenswert, die Armierungsorgane in die mittlere Schicht bezw. in ,die mittleren Schichten einzubetten.
Die geschilderten Armierungsorgane eig nen sich für alle Beläge der Bitumengruppe sowie für Beläge aus einem mit Bitumen ge bundenen Mineralgerüst.

Furthermore, as a result of the action of traffic loads, waves form in such coverings over time, as lateral shifts occur in the covering mass. The invention now seeks to counteract these shortcomings by embedding reinforcement members of higher tensile strength than the covering material.
Exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are described below.
As reinforcement materials come FITS for the production of tension members, z. B. of ropes, cords and wires BEZW suitable natural and artificial woven fibers. Metals in question. The tension members forming the flexible reinforcement members can be processed into braided, knotted or stapled nets and braids, or they can be laid individually in the covering in such a way that they neither meet at the intersections nor touch one another anywhere else.
The reinforcement members are advantageously arranged approximately halfway between a lower layer and the pavement surface. In the case of two-layer coverings, it is advisable to arrange the reinforcement elements in the lower half of the top layer, i.e. the top layer. In the case of three- and multi-layer coverings, it is advisable to place the reinforcement elements in the middle layer or in to embed the middle layers.
The reinforcement elements described are suitable for all coverings of the bitumen group as well as for coverings made of a mineral structure bound with bitumen.
