Process for the production of porous material. It is known that porous building materials can be produced by driving a dough from hydraulically binding substances such as cement, gypsum or the like, and water, optionally with the addition of fillers such as sand.
It has now been found that high-quality, extremely light Pro products with excellent insulation are able to, for. B. from sound and heat, ge achieved if one expediently aqueous pulp of fibrous substances such as straw, wood pulp, peat, asbestos, using gas-evolving agents such as per compounds, drives. The driving of the mass can depending after the time of the addition of the propellant in question, z. B.
Hydrogen peroxide and, if appropriate, decomposition catalysts such as manganese sulfate, take place during the mixing and / or after the pulp has been introduced into molds. The blown and shaped products are then dried. Instead of per-compounds, other gas-releasing substances, such as ammonium carbonate or metals in combination with acid or aluminum, can also be used.
It was not foreseeable that with such a process a uniform drift would be possible without the greater part of the gases developed in the pulp escaping. It was also not to be assumed that the products manufactured in this way would have sufficient mechanical strength.
As expected, however, the present process gives products of uniform, controllable and easily reproducible porosity; It turns out that during blowing, depending on the type of fibers used, a more or less pronounced matting of the fibers takes place, which makes the escape of the gas developing in the mass difficult or difficult despite the absence of any binding agents is prevented and the cohesion and thus the mechanical strength of the end products is increased very significantly.
All means suitable for this purpose can be used to improve the driving effect. To regulate the size and stabilization of the bubbles, substances that reduce surface tension, such as saponin, soap, wetting agents, are added. like igepon and various colloids two-sided. For example, the addition of Mileh has also proven its worth. The amounts of such additives can be very small. z. B.
below 1% up to a few percent of the pulp used. When using per compounds as propellants, decomposition catalysts can be used. such as B. Manganese sulfate and Amnioniak, two-mässio, after 1-lomoo, enisieruiic des Tei - it can be stirred once a 2D n t #.
whereupon the gas development: Ii.iii-, begins. In addition to per-compounds, hypochlorites can also be added to the reaction activity, which react with per-compounds and thereby also release oxygen.
Sometimes it is expedient to mix different fiber materials, e.g. B. to use high and inferior, em, long and short fiber material. Non-fibrous fillers can also be added. Finally, it is important to use additional additives to give the products of the invention very specific egg delicacies.
For example, substances that reduce flammability can be added. Additives from Kautschuli: are suitable for the production of particularly elastic masses. For applications where particularly high mechanical loads, e.g.
B. occur on pressure or bending, can occur during the manufacture of the 31asse. When mixing the pulp, stiffeners, agents or water-repellent agents such as pitch, bitumen, paraffins, fats, synthetic resins or corpses can be added in moderate amounts.
The fertile products can also be impregnated with such or other substances in order to achieve certain egg properties.
In the following, the process according to the invention is illustrated by examples.
Example: 1: 65 g open straw cardboard is mixed with water (575 a "). This is followed by the addition of 50 mo manganese sulphate nn: 1 and 7 cm 'hydrogen peroxide 40 percent by volume. After good homogenization, a concentrated anionic acid is stirred in, whereupon the propulsion of the pulp begins and the mass is brewed in a mold, where the driving process is ended.
This is followed by drying with a similar temperature increase of about 60 to 140 '. The finished mass has a specific weight of 0.09 and, with good strength, has preferable insulation properties, e.g. B. for sound or heat.
Example 2: 65 g of the raw material are made into a paste with water (325 . Then 7.5 ent is added:

After the whole thing is well done, oleiniselite, 1 - Briniiistein is added as an additive analyzer. Further processing follows according to example 1. 1) the product obtained had a specific grain size of 0.08, is evenly porous and well matted.

f), - the product obtained is excellent - (- suitable for ", V #, qi-meisolatioil with Mn - higher tenipenitis. The products obtained by the method according to the invention allow a very versatile application Especially wherever low weight and / or good insulation properties are important, such as in the construction industry and for sound and heat insulation. Since its specific weight can be kept below that of cork and its properties can be largely matched to cork, they are also suitable to replace cork in numerous cases.
