Elektrischer Ofen.
B. Kohle be stehen, Das Kupplungsstück wirkt sieh also bezüglich des 1NIetallkontaktes im.
Electric oven. The invention relates to an electric furnace with resistance, heating rods made of carbon, graphite or the like. In such devices, the formation of the contact body causes particular difficulties. As a rule: the contact bodies are formed by carbon blocks stored in the two side walls .des furnace, one end of the heating rod being screwed into one of these contact blocks and the other end against a z. B. spherical recess of the corresponding contact block is resiliently pressed.
The power supply parts are then connected to the ends of these contact blocks protruding from the furnace wall. In order to achieve sufficient heat dissipation, these contact blocks made of carbon or the like must receive disproportionately large dimensions, so that! Up to now it has practically not been possible to arrange two or more such heating rods parallel to one another in a furnace, since the distances between the rods caused by the large contact bodies become too great.
It is true that smaller dimensions of the contact body are achieved if liquid-cooled metal contacts are used, but such contacts have not proven themselves particularly in connection with heating rods made of soft materials such as carbon or graphite, because - apart from the high power consumption due to the cooling - the metal contacts could not withstand the high temperatures of such ovens. There were arcing; unavoidable, which led to the rapid destruction of the metallic contact surfaces.
In order to avoid the disadvantages described, the invention is based on a device in which openings in the furnace wall. protruding metal contact bodies cooled by gaseous or liquid pressurized media are used, and is characterized by the fact that each metal contact body is preceded by a coupling piece, which is connected to it by a mortise and which receives the Ileizstabende, arranged in the furnace wall ,
which is made of the same material as the heating rod, and which is about in diameter. corresponds to the metal contact body and the cross-sectional area and its contact areas are larger than the heating rod cross-section beme, #. sen.
The coupling piece removes the sensitive metal contact body from the greatest heat in the furnace to such an extent that significant scaling can no longer occur. On the other hand, there is no particular disadvantage in the formation of an arc at the point of contact between the heating rod and the coupling piece. both parts made of the same material, e.g. B. Coal be available, the coupling piece acts so see with respect to the 1NIetallkontaktes in. In the sense of a “thermal damping”, for example, in such a way that the temperature prevailing in the furnace chamber is reduced from about 2200 ° until the metal contact to about 1900.
The coupling piece also has the advantage that the sensitive connection with the llletalll@onta.kt body outside the furnace can be made with careful care, while special care is required for the contact between the heating rod and the coupling piece because of the relative insensitivity of this con clock is not required.
The space requirement is compared to the previous only work with metal contacts the ovens not or only insignificantly enlarged, while compared to the previous carbon contacts a very significant reduction in dimensions occurs.
The relocation of the metal contact due to the upstream connection of the coupling piece also has the advantage that if the metal contact body is damaged, the pressurized, gaseous or liquid coolant cannot immediately flow into the furnace.
The coupling st.izd @ has the further advantage that the wall of the metal contact at the contact point can have a small thickness which ensures the mechanical integrity of the contact surface, so that the expansion of the mead: everything on the contact surface can be avoided.
In the drawing, the invention is shown in various exemplary embodiments.
Fig. 1. 111d 2 show a melting furnace with three heating rods in longitudinal section and cross section: Fig. 3 shows. the formation of the heating rod holder with the use of metal contact bodies on both sides; 4 shows a further type of mortise on a larger scale.
According to FIGS. 1 and 2, three heating rods 2 are arranged in parallel in the melting furnace 1: to each other and only slightly apart from each other. Each heating rod is connected at both ends with a coupling piece 3, which in turn is coupled to a pull-out 31etallkontakt 4 by tapping Ver.
One end of the heating rod is connected to the coupling piece by a tenon so that when the metal contact is pulled out, the coupling piece including the heating rod is also pulled out (pull-out side). The other end (Lös, ungsseite) of the heating rod, however, is supported easily releasably in a recess provided in the coupling piece mortised with the metal contact body.
As can be seen in particular from FIGS. 1 and 3, the diameter of the coupling piece is no larger than that of the metal contact body and is arranged with this one behind the other in the furnace wall: 5. The contact area to the metal contact 4 is larger than the heater rod cross-section.
The coupling piece 3, which: made of the pale material such as the heating rod 2, z. B. consists of coal, does not protrude with the face facing the furnace beyond the furnace inner wall. The coupling piece itself can be designed in various ways and: be connected in various ways to the metal contact and the heating rod.
According to FIG. 1, the coupling piece 3 used for the H @ erausziehs, side of the heating rod is sleeve-like and provided with two equally large be measured bores 6 which widen narrowly conically towards the ends. Of course, these holes can also be dimensioned differently and provided with a Ge thread.
The heating rod 2 is inserted with a correspondingly conically shaped end 7 into the hole directed towards the furnace; With the borehole pointing outwards, the coupling piece is plugged onto a correspondingly slender conical hollow pin 8 of the metal contact body 4.
The coupling piece 3 is dimensioned so large at all points that the cross-sectional area is always larger than that of the heating rod 2. In addition, the outer surface of each bore 6 that forms the contact surface is larger than the cross-section of the heating rod 2.
The inclination of the conical bores of the coupling piece. as well as .die des Heizstab- endesj '7 and that of the metal contact body 4 attached hollow pin 8 is chosen so that when pulling out the contact body 4 in the axial direction of the heating rod coupling piece 3 and heating rod 2 are dragged by friction. The conical hollow pin 8 and the surfaces 9 of the contact body 4 facing the coupling piece 3 are. made of heat-resistant material ago and at 10 with the z.
B.. From. ge ordinary iron existing, outwardly directed sleeve-shaped part of the contact body 4 by welding or the like.
The coupling piece 3 provided on the solution side of the heating rod in FIG. 1 has a flat recess 11 on the side facing the heating rod 2, in which the heating rod end 12 is only supported, such that when the heating rod is pulled out the metal contact body located opposite the end, a separation between the coupling piece 3 and the heating rod end 12 is easily possible.
The coupling piece 3 remains connected to the contact.
The coupling pieces according to FIG. 3 differ from the previous ones only in the use of cylindrical, threaded bores 13 for mortising with the corresponding threaded pin 8 of the metal contact body 4.
The string facing the heating rod of the coupling piece can either be provided with recesses 11 for the Heimtabende 12 (Fig. 4) or with slightly conical bores 6 for the heating rod end 7. The connection of the heating rod end 7 and the coupling piece 3 can also take place by means of threaded tapping.
When using a threaded joint between the coupling piece and the metal contact 4, it is advisable to use at least one of the end faces 9 of the pin 8 of the metal contact body to increase the total contact surface against the coupling piece, as shown in FIG , brought.
In the same way, the entire contact surface can be enlarged with a threaded joint between the heating tab and the coupling piece. The thread of the metal contact is relatively very rough. So that the resulting in the thread he considerable differences in the wall thickness of the metal contact do not cause any softening at the points of greater wall thickness, cler metal contact is made of materials with good conductivity, eg. B.
Made of copper. , Fig. 4 shows the design of the coupling piece 3 with a pin 14 which is mounted in a hollow pin 15 of the metal contact body. The tenon can, as shown, by slightly conical design of tenons; 14 and hollow pin 15 take place. However, just like in other examples, a threaded joint can be provided. The connection, desi coupling piece with. the heating rod in one of the aforementioned ways.
The metallic contact body can be arranged on the outside of the furnace in a known manner on a carriage, not shown, in the axial direction of the heating rod and is pressed against the end of the heating rod during operation of the furnace with the aid of springs or other clamping means, which are also not shown .
Serves to guide the coolant. the line 16, which is formed by a simple tube 16 which remains constant over the entire length and which extends up to approximately the tip of the hollow pin 8 while leaving a. Annular space 17 protrudes.
In addition, the furnace can be formed from any. He can z. B. be both a rotary furnace, as well as a hearth furnace. The invention is particularly advantageous in those devices in which two or more heating rods in the ceiling are arranged parallel to one another, .da. these can be arranged with a small spacing of the coupling pieces without difficulty because of their small space requirements.
