Method and device for converting a measured variable into a frequency that is proportionate to it. In devices for remote transmission of measured values, it is known to convert a power value into a frequency that is proportionate to it. One uses for example a watt-hour meter known design, which drives a circular disc, the circumference of which is perforated. This row of holes runs away over a beam of light, -which periodically changes the excitation of a photocell.
The photocell then supplies an alternating current, the frequency of which is proportional to the speed of the counter.
Another similar device uses a serrated disk, the serrations of which pass a point of high voltage. The resulting discharges are used to periodically charge a capacitor with a frequency that is also speed-dependent.
The present invention also relates to a method and a device for generating a frequency which is proportional to a measured value.
The method is characterized in that this measured value acts on a mechanical organ rotating at a basic speed in such a way that the oscillation of a high-frequency circuit is periodically changed in a low-frequency rhythm, where a corresponding low-frequency current is generated by demodulation, which is used for remote transmission of the measured value.
The device for performing the process uses a disk as a rotating mechanical organ, the circumference of which is perforated and is characterized in that this row of holes, under the influence of a basic drive and a superimposed thereon, gives the disk an increase in speed equal to the measured value additional drive bypassing the oscillation impedance of a high-frequency oscillating circuit,
A low-frequency change in the high-frequency oscillation and, after demodulation, a corresponding change in the anode direct current is effected in such a way that an alternating current with the same frequency as the measured value ratio occurs at the output terminals of the device and is used for remote transmission of the negative values.
The low-frequency change in the high-frequency oscillation, that is. their amplitude or frequency can be achieved by directly influencing at least one coil or by changing the coupling between two or more coils of the resonant circuit. In this case, coil arrangements can be provided which make it possible to switch off the influence of any inclined or eccentric fastening of the disk.
In general, it is not easy to achieve that only the amplitude or the sequence change alone, which is, however, insignificant for the mode of operation of the invention.
Embodiments of the invention who explained in more detail below with reference to FIGS.
In Fig. 1, the rotating member is denoted by 1. This disk drawn in section is similar to a counter disk on the axis? attached. As in Fig. \? going forward, there are holes 3 on their circumference, which are cut open after the edge of the disc to facilitate the passage of the high frequency induction flux of the coils mentioned below. Any other form of magnetic unevenness of the disk edge can also be selected, with nothing other than changing the form of the voltage fluctuations generated.
The disk 1 is now given a base speed in a known manner, not shown. The measured variable to be transmitted is also used in a known manner to give the speed of the disk by means of a drive 3 an increase or a corresponding decrease equivalent to the measured value.
In the case of the row of holes 3 there is a small high-frequency coil 4, the diameter of which is of the order of magnitude of the hole dimensions. Tile coil forms together with your capacitor 5 the resonant circuit of a tube oscillator. The vibrations are fanned by the Hocllvalz tube, here a triode, and coupled back to the 4 coaxial coil 7.
Here, 8 denotes the source of excitation voltage and 9 denotes the anode voltage source. The grid of the tube is connected to the Sehwi.ng- circuit via the capacitor 10 and to the cathode via the resistor 11. The transformer 1 \? Is located in the anode circuit, while the high-frequency currents are conducted via the capacitor 13.
In the case of an oscillating arrangement, the high-frequency charging currents of the capacitor 10 are prevented from flowing away by the resistor 11, as a result of which the capacitor and, therefore, the Gitl = er are negatively charged. This charge and thus the anode direct current are dependent on the Ilochfrequenzanrplitude. This fluctuates with the losses present in the oscillation circuit and therefore also with the size of the metal masses adjacent to the coil 4.
These losses thus change depending on the position of the holes 3 with respect to the coil 4. When the disk is running, the anodic si: roin is changed at a low frequency with the losses. An alternating voltage can then be taken from terminals 14 and 15 of the transformer, the frequency of which is determined by the hole frequency of the disk and thus by the measured value.
Due to the effect of the circumferential row of holes, not only the loss, but also the inductance of the coil arrangement is changed in general, with great sensitivity. of the device is achieved when a work area with low stability is selected for the self-excitation.
The facility can be improved and sensed by the means described below.

Here, the oscillating circuit formed from the coils 21, 22 and the capacitor 23 is located in the anode circuit of the tube 3, which is fed by the auxiliary power sources 24 and 5. The anode current flows through the resistor 26. Its fluctuations generate a corresponding alternating voltage at the terminals 28 and 29. The capacitor 30 is used to shut off the direct current and also here the capaci tor 31 in connection with the resistor 32 for demodulation.
In the example of FIG. 4, the coupling between a vibration generator 34 and a receiver is changed. The characters A, 1, 2 and 3 have the same meaning as above. The coils of variable coupling are denoted by 33 and 35, a system of constant and adjustable coupling 36 also being used here. The resulting received voltage is fed to the grid of the tube 6 via the capacitor 38 and the resistor 37. A suitable selection of the fixed coupling can compensate for part of the induced voltage and thus set the most favorable working range of the Röhien characteristic curve for sensitivity.
The sensitivity is also increased by the fact that the circuits are dimensioned with regard to the hole frequency.
The low-frequency alternating voltage obtained by rectification can be taken from the terminals of the anode resistor 39, which is bridged by the capacitor 40 for the high-frequency currents. It is advisable to feed this voltage to a low-frequency amplifier in which the desired amplitude can be set. A suitable smoothing filter can also remove unwanted harmonics.
In order to suppress the influence of an eccentric bearing on the disk 1, a coil system can be used whose coils are arranged on both sides of the axis 2 on the same diameter. If the braking torque, which is exerted on the disc by the direct current circulating in the coils, is too great, it can be considerably reduced by conducting the direct current through chokes connected in parallel across the coils. The high-frequency currents remaining in the coils are much smaller and practically without any influence.
The rotating element can, for example, be driven by an ampere-hour meter or a power meter or any other suitable apparatus which gives it a speed that is dependent on the measured value. Instead of changing the coil impedances, use can also be made of a periodic change in capacities. In this case, however, it is necessary to increase the sensitivity to use much higher frequencies, in particular vibrations of ultra-high frequency.
