Device for guiding the band saw blade on band saws. The present invention is a device for guiding the band saw blade on band saws. Band saws used up to now have a fixed block of wood in the table top, which is worn out very quickly and therefore forms a poor guide. The arranged in other band saws under the table top, adjustable, serving as a band guide wooden blocks are difficult to access, whereby an exact setting of the same is usually not possible. Furthermore, the distance between these wooden blocks and the work piece is too great, so that the band saw blade is not precisely guided at the interface.
According to the invention, adjustable guide pieces for the saw blade are built in directly below the interface in the table top, the guides being appropriately secured by a slide in their parallel position to the saw blade and protected against contamination.
In the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject invention is shown. It shows: Fig. 1 a floor plan, Fig. 2-4 sections along lines II-II respectively. III-III resp. IV-IV of FIG. 1.
The table top 1 of the band saw has a recess 2 and a slot 8. The latter is used to introduce the band saw blade K. In the recess 2 are two z. B. made of bronze guide pieces 4 arranged, between which the saw blade K is displaceable. In each guide piece 4 there are two screws -6, the heads 7 of which rest against the walls 8 of the 2 wells. Above the guide pieces 4, a slide 10 is mounted in grooves in the table top 1, which slider holds the guide pieces 4 immovably in the recess 2.
The slide 10 has a slot 11 for the passage of the saw blade (FIG. 8). By turning the screws 6, the guide pieces 4 can be positioned more or less against the saw blade K. After pushing back the slide 10, the built-in parts 4, 6 are exposed from above; they are therefore easily accessible and the guide pieces can be precisely adjusted. Since the guide pieces 4 are directly under the workpiece, that is, under the interface, the saw blade K is guided very well and precisely.
So that the screws 6 do not rotate during the Ar work, the slots 13 are provided in the guide pieces 4, which are slightly narrowed by the pressure of the slide 10 on the guide pieces, where clamped by the screws 6 and secured against unwanted rotation who the . The slide 10 prevents at the same time the "soiling of the underlying parts.
A bearing 15 is fastened under the table top 1, in which a bolt 16 is guided so as to be vertically displaceable. A hand lever 18 which is pivotably arranged on the bearing 15 protrudes through a slot 17 in the latter. In the lever 18 sits a locking screw 20, which is adjustable in notches 21 of a bearing extension 22 a. At its upper end, the bolt 16 carries a guide and splitting blade 24. By pivoting the resilient lever 18 in the direction of the arrow (FIG. 2), the bolt: 16: the blade 24 through a slot 25 of the table top 1 upwards into the Adjusted the dot-dash position in which it is held in the upper detent 21 due to the engagement of the screw \? ().
The blade 24 is, seen in the direction of advance of the workpiece, exactly behind the saw blade K and serves both as a guide and as a splitting element for the workpiece during straight cutting, whereby the saw blade is protected and the guide cords 4 are less worn. When cutting curves ven the blade 24 can not be used who- it is therefore adjusted by pivoting the hand lever 18 against the direction of the arrow direction (Fig. 2) in its lower position. in which it does not protrude beyond the table top 1.
