L'appareil d'après la présente invention peut aussi comporter un dispositif pour l'en traînement mécanique des pistons des servo- cylindres, qui agit à travers le balancier, de façon à assurer en tout cas le fonctionnement d'un au moins ses cylindres principaux. Sur le dessin annexé est représentée, à titre d'exemple, une forme -d'exécution de l'objet de la présente invention; la fig. 1 en est une coupe verticale longitudinale;
Dans la forme d'exécution représentée, 1 désigne le servo-cylindre de l'appareil de commande dans lequel le fluide sous pression est introduit en 2 sous l'action d'un dispositif régulateur non représenté; le piston 3 du servo-cylindre, soumis à un ressort de rappel 4, entraîne par poussée, à l'aide ,de son siège central 3', un manchon 5 pourvu ,d'un rebord 5' engagé par le siège 3';
Si l'un des cylindres principaux, 9 par exemple, est inactif par suite de la rupture de la conduite qui relie ledit cylindre avec les cylindres de commande des mâchoires des freins, la tige, telle que 13, dudit cylindre s principa 1, tel que 9, est poussée jusqu'à la fin de sa. course par le balancier 27 dont la tête 29 bute sur la tige 14 du cylindre 10, le déplacement du piston 12 de ce cylindre étant freiné par la résistance opposée par le liquide;
Pressurized fluid servo control unit with two main cylinders, for hydraulic vehicle brakes. The present invention relates to a pressurized fluid servo-control apparatus with two main cylinders, for hydraulic vehicle brakes.
According to the present invention, the driving of the pistons of the main liquid cylinders is effected by the piston of the servo cylinder of the control unit with the aid of a balance which is distributed normally over the two main cylinders. 'action of the servo-cylinder, the piston of the servo-cylinder being arranged to act on the median part of the balance, the ends of which cooperate on the pistons of the main cylinders.
The apparatus according to the present invention may also include a device for the mechanical dragging of the pistons of the servo cylinders, which acts through the balance, so as to ensure in any case the operation of at least one of its cylinders. main. In the accompanying drawing is shown, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the present invention; fig. 1 is a longitudinal vertical section thereof;
fig. 2 is a partial horizontal section corresponding to FIG. 1, with parts not cut off; fig. 3 is a vertical cross section on 3-3, of FIG. 1, and fig. 4 is a vertical section along 4-4 of FIG. 1.
In the embodiment shown, 1 denotes the servo-cylinder of the control apparatus into which the pressurized fluid is introduced at 2 under the action of a regulator device, not shown; the piston 3 of the servo-cylinder, subjected to a return spring 4, drives by pushing, with the aid of its central seat 3 ', a sleeve 5 provided with a flange 5' engaged by the seat 3 ';
in said sleeve 5 is housed one end of a rod 6, the opposite head 6 'of which is guided in a sleeve <B> 7 </B> provided in the reservoir 8 of the liquid. Parallel to the cylinder 1 are placed two main cylinders 9, 10, the pistons 11, 12 of which are driven by the respective rods 13, 14 parallel to the rod 6 and guiding in the supports 15 formed in the wall closing the end. of cylinder 1.
In the housing 16 of the apparatus is mounted a guide 17 in which takes place one end of a lever 18 whose end op i posed is engaged with the rod 6., the ends of the lever 18 form the rings 19, 20 in which are mounted, using the pivots 21, 22, the rollers 23, 24 which take place respectively in the stationary guide 1.7 and in a window 25 of the rod 6 and are supported on the flat faces 17 ', 25' of guide 17 and window 25, respectively.
In its intermediate part, facing the rods 13, 14, the lever 18 forms a spherical seat 18 'in which is mounted with a ball joint, by means of a ring 26 attached to the seat 18' of the lever 18, the part spherical intermediate 27 'of a balance 27 whose ends form the heads 28, 29 which take place in windows 30, 31 of the rods 13, 14 of the pistons 11, 12 housed in the main cylinders 9, 10; the heads 28, 29 are rounded opposite the surfaces of the windows 30, 31 with which they come into contact.
A rod $ 3 is connected to the head 6 'of the rod 6, and is intended for the mechanical drive of the pistons of the main cylinders; the. connection is made with the aid of a spherical head 32 'of the rod 32, which is engaged in -Lin seat formed at the end of the head 6' using a threaded ring 33.
The reservoir 8 for the liquid, the lower part of which contains the main cylinders 9, 10, is divided by a partition 34 into two chambers 35, 36 which contain the respective cylinders 9, 10; as shown in fig. 4, the partition 34 is connected to the sleeve 7 intended to guide the head 6 'of the rod 6 of the piston of the servo-cylinder 1, and cooperates in reducing the movements of the liquid from one chamber to the other; this prevents the liquid level during transverse movements of the vehicle from dropping excessively in one or the other of the chambers 35, 36 and leaving the inlet openings of the corresponding main cylinder uncovered.
When the fluid under pressure is made to act in the servo-eylinder 1, it produces the axial displacement of the piston 3 and of the rod 6 which, through one of the end faces 25 'of its window 25, acts on the rollers 24 and , consequently, on the corresponding end of lever 18; cc lever 18 then oscillates around the axis of the pivot 21 of the rollers 23 and, by reacting with the aid of said rollers on one of the end faces <B> 1.7 '</B> of the guide 17, it causes the displacement of its seat 18 'and, consequently, of the balance 27 whose heads 28, 29 act on the rods 13, 14 of the pistons 11, 12 of the main cylinders 9, 10.
If the two main cylinders 9, 10 operate regularly, the thrust transmitted by the piston 3 of the servo cylinder is distributed equally over the pistons of the two main cylinders.
If one of the main cylinders, 9 for example, is inactive as a result of the rupture of the pipe which connects said cylinder with the control cylinders of the brake shoes, the rod, such as 13, of said main cylinder 1, such than 9, is pushed to the end of its. stroke by the balance 27, the head 29 of which abuts on the rod 14 of the cylinder 10, the movement of the piston 12 of this cylinder being braked by the resistance opposed by the liquid;
when the rod 13 and the corresponding piston have reached the end of their stroke, they stop and then the head 28 functions as a pivot for the. balance 27; this balance, under the subsequent action of the lever 18 and the piston 3, by its spherical head 29 causes the displacement of the rod 14 and the drive of the piston 12 of the main cylinder 10. In this way, the. thrust transmitted by the piston of the servo-cylinder 1 is still distributed equally over the two pistons of the main cylinders 9, 10 and, therefore, in the section of the hydraulic system which operates regularly, the pressure cannot exceed its value normal.
A similar operation takes place when the control of the device is performed by the rod 32 which causes the displacement of the rod 6; the latter, by the effect of its connection described, moves with the sleeve 5, 5 'relative to the piston 3, 3' and it causes the operation of the lever 18 and the drive of the two pistons 11, 12 of the cylinders principal 9, 10 or one of them year less, according to the cases.
With the aid of the arrangement described, it is possible to obtain - in any case the distribution on the two pistons of the main cylinders, of the thrust exerted by the piston of the servo cylinder and, consequently, one avoids over- pressures which could present disadvantages in relation to the apparatus and the conduits.
