Arrangement for detecting the frame closure of electrical windings. It is known to use direct current voltage to detect the frame closure of electrical machines and apparatus.
For this purpose, a battery has been connected in series with a choke coil and a direct current instrument in the connection of the star point of a generator winding with earth.
According to the invention, a rectifier, to which a capacitor is connected in parallel, is used as the direct current source, which parallel connection is connected on the one hand via an impedance to the star point and on the other hand to earth. You could too. use a rectifier without a capacitor.
However, this would have the disadvantage that if the frame closes in the vicinity of the terminal, the rectifier is exposed to a very high reverse voltage. You would therefore have to use an appropriately sized aligner. It is more advantageous
if, according to the invention, a signal capacitor is connected in parallel to the rectifier. Since this can be given a relatively small alternating current resistance, the stress on the rectifier in the reverse direction is largely reduced,
so that the rectifier does not have to be dimensioned for a very high reverse voltage. To limit the earth fault current in the event of a climatic earth fault, a D @ ross coil can be connected as impedance in the star point connection as in the known arrangement. It is advantageous to use a transformer
which is loaded on the secondary side with an ohmic resistance; which has the advantage that you get a high effective resistance for alternating current, but which offers only a low resistance for direct current.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown, for a generator 1 in a block circuit, that is, in a circuit in which the generator operates on its own transformer 2 and is thus isolated from the rest of the network. Generator 1 and transformer 2 form a unit.
In the connection line between the star point and earth is located .die primary winding of a transformer 3 and a capacitor 4, which is of a rectifier arrangement 5, the z. B. consists of dry rectifiers, is charged. This is fed by a transformer 6, whose primary winding is in series with a resistor 7 on the AC voltage.
In parallel with the capacitor, there is also a surge arrester 10 in series with a resistor 12. The secondary side of the transformer 3 is loaded with an ohmic resistor 11.
In the primary circuit of the transformer 6 there is a current relay 8 whose contact a timing relay 9 controls. As already mentioned, the resistance of the capacitor 4 for the mains frequency is chosen so that it is relatively small, while the effective resistance of the transformer 3 compared to the mains frequency is as high as possible. As a result, when the frame closes in the vicinity of the terminal, such a voltage division occurs that causes
that a reverse voltage on the rectifier arrangement 5 is only low. The reason for using a transformer with secondary resistance instead of a choke coil in the neutral point connection is that you get a high effective resistance for the mains frequency, which is cheaper than a high inductive resistance because it means that at the moment of the Earth fault as a result of the series connection with the capacitor 4, overvoltages can occur.
However, if there is an effective resistance, it has a strong damping effect. It must not be too small: it must be kept in order to avoid an excessively high earth-fault current in the event of a terminal earth fault.
The surge arrester 10, e.g. For example, a sieve with a series resistance of 12 is used to divert any voltage spikes that may occur in the event of a frame connection near the terminal. Advantageously, a choke coil 15 can also be connected into the connection line of the rectifier with the capacitor, as indicated by dashed lines. There is also a high resistance 13 parallel to the rectifier.
This resistance. represents a low preload for the dry rectifier, which increases their service life.
If the frame closes on the generator, a direct current is transferred to earth, which increases the current consumption of the transformer 6 and the direct current relay 8 responds and actuates the timing relay 9.
In addition to this relay, which only responds to the flow of a direct-current earth fault current and which is kept away from the high voltage due to its switching, another relay can be used which responds to the -a-alternating- which occurs in the event of an earth fault between star point and earth. voltage or the AC ground fault current caused by it,
by, for example, an alternating voltage or between the star point of the generator and earth. Power relay switches on. Only if this and the relay 8 respond at the same time can the generator be switched off, while if relay 8 is only addressed, only one signaling occurs, that is to say, it is only advisable to prevent
when an earth fault has occurred at a certain distance from the star point. The inductance connected to the earth connection (transformer or choke coil) and capacitance can also be adjusted to one another in such a way that with every earth fault a voltage is created on the capacitor that causes the breakdown fuse to respond.
The current carried by the fuse is limited by the resistor 12. The load on the rectifier caused by this is regulated in such a way that the relay 8 responds in any case.
In order to additionally make the arrangement insensitive to traveling waves originating from the high voltage network, a cathode arrester 16 can be arranged between the star point and earth.
The specified circuit with the Kon capacitor and the upstream transformer with parallel resistor can also be used for direct current voltage to several generators working in parallel. You will then place this arrangement between an artificial star point and earth, but then you have to: Choose the relay circuit so that a selective selection of the sick generator occurs.
