Precision machine tool. The object of the invention is a precision machine tool, in particular, but not exclusively, a vertical plaster comprising at least one rotary tool, for example a bell wheel or other abrasive tool fixed to the shaft. an electric motor adapted .on a mobile support on the frame following a plane perpendicular to the motor shaft and facing a work plate supporting the workpiece.
According to the invention, the electric motor is connected to said movable support by means of a threaded cylindrical element, for example a jacket or casing surrounding the motor, rigidly fixed to the latter and cooperating with a return nut, so that this threaded cylindrical element - and hence the electric motor, can be moved along the axis of the motor shaft and with respect to said support, using the return nut,
said movable support being fitted on a smooth rectilinear neck of the frame and the return nut resting on this support. This machine tool -offers appreciable advantages in the field of plasterers in particular and obviates a number of drawbacks that include machines of this kind used to date. By its arrangement and the design of its adjustment, the object of the invention combines the advantages that the constructions adopted up to now have not made it possible to achieve.
Indeed, the plasterers, or even the grinding machines of the vertical or horizontal type used in industry, neoes; - sit a relatively heavy and complex construction and therefore expensive, especially since these machines are generally automatic control. In addition, the shaft or the tool-holder spindle is mounted and works cantilevered. On the other hand, the organs of.
control of the adjustment device operate remotely and in addition are exposed to abrasive dust caused by machining, respectively by grinding. Therefore, the aforementioned constructions cannot promote high precision of the grinding operations especially after a relatively long machining period and in particular in the field of vertical type plasters.
The design adopted in the construction of the machine tool according to the invention, in particular in the adjustment device, appreciably reduces the volume of the machine, simplifies the operation, facilitates the service and thus ensures rigorous precision. than a relatively high yield. In addition, the simplicity of its construction makes it a rational and inexpensive machine.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention, in this case a vertical plasterer.
Fig. 1. is a vertical section; 1a fi-. 2 is a side view in partial section of FIG. 1., the grinding wheel, being brought closer to the work plate; fig. 3, is a section along the line 111-111 of the fi-. 2.
In the drawing, there is a frame 4 arranged in the form of a basin 5, in which is fixed, on a base 5 ', a work plate 6, preferably a magnetic plate, by means of bolts 6'. The frame 4 comprises on its sides a double rectilinear slide 7, on which is adjusted a slide 8 of the tines to be moved manually in a back and forth movement, using a handle 9 coming from said slide. . A gib 10 and two bands 11 secured respectively by bolts 10 ', 11' ensure the adjustment of the slide 8 on the frame 4.
In a circular housing of the neck 8 is adjusted, with greasy friction, a return nut 13 secured, in its axial position, by a ball 14 housed by the intermediary of a screw 15 and a spring 16, in a circular groove 13 'of the movable nut 13. A_ the periphery of the movable nut 13, there are four handles 17 making it possible to turn said nut by hand. The return nut 13 is engaged by its tapping on a threaded cylindrical sleeve 18, which sleeve constitutes the support of the electric motor.
During its rotation, the return screw 13 communicates to the sleeve 1.8 a movement of rectilinear translation from top to bottom or from bottom to top, depending on the direction of rotation of the nut. For this purpose, the threaded sleeve 18 has at its periphery a straight longitudinal groove 19, in which is housed a key 20, the heel 20 'of which is intended to slide in a corresponding groove? 1 of the slide 8, so as to prevent the liner 18 from rotating when the return nut 18 is actuated.
To an interior rim 22 of the sleeve 18 is fixed vertically an electric motor 23 comprising a tool holder 24, by the intermediary of a flange 2 1 5 and by means of bolts 25 ' . The motor 23 controls a rotary bell wheel 2 6 wedged on the motor shaft 23 ', the seating of the shaft 23' being provided by a ball bearing (not shown in the drawing ) mounted in the tool holder 24.
Attached to the upper part of the motor 23 is a lubricant reservoir 27 enclosing a pump 28 controlled remotely by the shaft 23 'of the motor 23. Through a pipe 29 of the reservoir 27, the lubricant descends on the bell wheel. 26, respectively on the part to be fed, and extends at the bottom of the frame 4 arranged in the form of a manifold 30. Under the action of the pump 28. the lubricant returns to the reservoir 2 "7 via a flexible pipe 31.
During machining, the M grinding wheel is brought onto the workpiece by means of the movable nut 13 to which a rotational movement will have been imparted by the handles 17. The depth of the pa & its in the part to be grinded is therefore produced by the movable nut 13, the sleeve 18. the motor 23, the tool holder 24 and the lubricant reservoir 27 being integral with one another.
A complete turn of the nut 13 will impart to the grinding wheel 26 a penetration advance corresponding to the pitch of the sleeve 18. For this purpose, the slide 8 comprises, at its upper part, a circular gra duation 32 disposed opposite a mark 33 of the return nut 13.
If, for example, the sleeve 18 com has a pitch of 1 mm and the graduation 32 has 1000 divisions, each division will correspond to a pass of 1/1000 of a mm from the grinding wheel 26 in the workpiece.
In order to ensure the stability of the adjustment device 'during machining, the rap pel nut 13 -is surmounted by a locking device consisting of a threaded clamping ring 34 also engaged on the -shirt 18 and resting on the return nut 13, a notch 35 formed in this ring gives the latter sufficient elasticity so that the ring can be tightened by means of a locking screw 36. The ring 34 being connected to the return nut. 13, by a bolt 34 ', the tightening of the ring 34 has the effect that the latter gets stuck on the threads of the sleeve 18.
When starting work, the grinding wheel 2,6 is brought up to the height of the machining plane, and moved in this plane to move it away from the part to be machined, using the handles 17 -and 9. Next, by means of: the handle 9-, the slide 8 is moved on the frame in a back-and-forth movement via the double rectilinear slide 7 located on either side of the part to be machine. After each pass of the grinding wheel on the workpiece, the return nut 13 will be imparted to a rotational movement of a value corresponding to the depth of the next pass.
The machining being carried out inside the frame 4, that is to say in the basin 5, the adjustment device is away from abrasive dust, the latter falling back into the collector 30 .or depositing against the walls of the frame 4. In addition, the -collector 30 being relatively large, the lubricant stays there long enough- so that it is free of waste and impurities from the machining before reassembly. via the flexible pipe 3,1 in the tank 27.
The arrangement of the essential parts of the machine - on the motor shaft and inside the adjustment device (sleeve and return nut), avoids the bending moments of the cantilever assemblies and the use of 'a second motor for controlling the lubricant pump. It is understood that the invention could be applied to any other machine tool, vertical or horizontal.
The movement of the slide 8 on the frame as well as the maneuver of the adjusting device could be automatic or semi-automatic. In addition, the motor with its adjustment device could be mounted in a tilting and adjustable head, so that the tool can work in different planes, more or less inclined, as it is understood that the invention. is not only applicable to plasterers, but also to other ma chine tools.
