Friction gear with continuously variable translation. The main patent relates to a friction gear with continuously variable translation, in which at least one second elongate rotating body is pressed firmly against an elongated rotating body, whose generating element is a curve, whose generating one interacting with the curve of the first rotating body Curve, whereby by adjusting at least one,,
the rotation body a change in the position of the contact point of the curves and thus a change in the transmission ratio can be achieved; can.
According to the additional invention, a further design of such a friction gear consists in that outer rotating bodies, arranged evenly distributed around the axis of a central rotating body, interact with a rolling surface on the inside of at least one axially displaceable press ring, in such a way that the contact points of the rolling surface of the press ring with, the outer rotating bodies with axial displacement. of the press ring moves in one sense over the entire work area in the same sense,
whereby the necessary change in the distances between the axes of the outer rotating bodies from the axis of the central rotating body is made possible by axial displacement of the latter.
In the drawing an execution example of the subject invention is presented.
Fig. 1 shows an elevation of the friction gear with cut press rings; Fig. 2 is a side elevation of Fig. 1; FIG. 3 shows the same elevation as FIG. 1, but in a different position of the parts, and FIG. 4 is a side elevation of FIG.
It denotes a the two parts of a central body of revolution, where he generating the rolling surface is a curve. The two parts a are stored in bearings e and can be axially adjusted relative to one another.
With this rotational body a, a. , two rotating bodies b, which are arranged centrally symmetrically with respect to its axis and are also mounted in bearings, work together, the generatrix of which for forming the rolling surface is also a curve which is thus is shaped so that it can interact in a certain way with the curve of the central body of revolution a, a.
The two outer rotating bodies b are surrounded by two pressing rings c, each of which has a rolling surface on the inside, the generatrix of which is a curve that is shaped so that it can interact with the curve of the outer rotating body b. By. the press rings c, the rotary body b are pressed elastically firmly against the central rotary body a, a. The power transmission can take place from the shaft of the rotating body a, a via the contact points of the rotating body a, a with the rotating bodies b on the axes or shafts of this rotating body or on the press rings c.
However, the outer rotating body b or the press rings c can also be driven. If the two parts a of the central body of revolution and at the same time the two press rings c are axially adjusted relative to one another, the position of the points of contact of the body of revolution a, a with the bodies of revolution b changes and .the latter with the rolling surface, the pressing rings c, the transmission ratio being changed continuously accordingly.
As can be seen from the drawing, the point of contact of the rolling surface of the press ring with the rotating bodies migrates with axial displacement of the press rings in one sense over the entire work area in the same sense. During the adjustment of the parts a, the central body of revolution and the press rings c, the distances between the axes of the outer body of revolution b and the axis of the central body of revolution a, a change as required.
As can be seen, there is a power transmission from the central rotational body a. a on .the press rings c a gear ratio change in two stages, whereby with the same range of the gear ratio change and the same width of the rotating body, the rolling conditions can be designed more favorably than with a single-stage gear ratio change in that the rolling surfaces run flatter against the axes, which results in lower speed differences within the point of contact and thus lower losses and longer service life.
It is also possible to see more than two outer rotating bodies between the central rotating body and the press rings, so that greater adhesion can be achieved. so that the performance increases. or shorter contact points can be permitted. In this way, losses can be reduced and the service life can be increased.
The effectiveness of the transmission does not change if it is not double or. symmetrically to a transverse center plane is simply executed and the: axial and radial components of the pressures are absorbed by bearings. Likewise, the two halves of the rotating body and the press rings could be arranged turned by 1 $ 0 so that the parts directed towards the bearings e in the drawing are facing each other.
