Process for the production of a brush and the brush produced by this process. The present invention relates to a method for producing a brush and a brush produced according to this method.
The. The method is characterized in that one is in the hollow. Brush shaft introduces a stop body coaxially to the latter, afterwards the brush tufts into the side shaft bores up to the touch tion with the stop body, then pulls it out and then fills the cavity of the brush shaft with a he rigid mass.
The mentioned brush produced by the method according to the invention is characterized in that it has a solidified mass in the shaft cavity, into which the brush tufts penetrate and are held in place by this.
The accompanying drawing shows individual stages of an exemplary embodiment of the method and an exemplary embodiment of the brush. It is: FIG. 1 an axial section through the brush in an intermediate stage of its manufacture and FIG. 2 an axial section through the finished brush, with a special connecting member. In the holes on the side:
h provided hollow shaft a of the brush, the stop body i is introduced coaxially, which is supported on the base of the axial bore of the shaft a. This stop body can be a full cylinder or a tube. In order to easily reach its coaxial position, one can basically see a recess in front of the axial bore of the shaft, into which the stop body fits.
But you can also create a device on which the shaft and the stop body can be brought into mutual correct Lagei. This can, for example, be a simple, not shown tripod with corresponding glemmbriden for Bür stschaft and stop body. After that the stop body is now introduced. and has somehow been fixed, the brush tufts b are inserted from the outside through the lateral holes h until they strike the stop body i. This stage is shown in FIG.
One can press the tufts a little further when they are in contact with the body e, so that their bristles fold over slightly at the inner ends, as shown at k in FIG. This increases the hold in the material that is subsequently poured in. Once the tufts b have been introduced, the stop body i is removed. The bores 1a are so narrow that there is a certain pressure between them and the tufts. The tufts therefore cannot move after the body i has been removed. Now a solidifying mass a, z. B.
Pitch, shellac or lead, in a liquid or plastic state, poured into the cavity l of the brush shaft and, as long as this has not yet completely solidified, the lid in (Fig. 2) is attached by attaching the g o screw-shaped holder n into the pale. The pale one connects firmly with the brush tufts b and gives them a robust hold.
Fig. 2 shows -eiter a special nipple by means of which the brush on an actuating means, for. B. a rod p, can be screwed tight. When designing this nipple, particular care was taken to ensure that the brush can easily turn on its actuating means when cleaning a weapon. It is built so that its play can be adjusted in relation to the brush. The nipple sleeve q has a bore r through which the fastening screw s can pass with a sliding fit.
This screw s is screwed into the head t of the shaft a. The head of this screw has a slot u so that it can be screwed more or less into the shaft head t 'using a screwdriver, which means that the play between the nipple and the brush can be changed as desired. Once this has been set, the screw s is fixed using the locking screw z ?. A spacer washer u. Is inserted between the nipple sleeve q and the brush.
The nipple also has an internal thread x, in which the rod p or the connection piece of another actuating means can be attached. The nipple is particularly suitable for large brushes. as used in larger-caliber infantry cannons and guns.
The brush tufts b can, for. B. made of pig bristles, phosphor bronze wires or other Metalldrä lites.
The end cap o could be provided with an external thread instead of a helical holder n, which is screwed into a corresponding internal thread of the shaft a.
