<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

Electric message device with push button setting. In many cases, mechanical transmission is used to set the tuning means or other regulating organs of an electrical communication device to a certain number of predetermined values. Here, some mechanical transmission elements are usually connected to the pushbuttons, which act on one or more actuating shafts and, when the button is pressed, cause the shaft to rotate to a desired position. With the usual regulating devices, a rotation of the operating shaft of 180, in some cases even more, is common.
Although it is not desirable to choose a large actuation path of the pushbuttons, in many cases the shaft carrying the tuning means or other control elements must make a large rotation and the masses connected to the shaft sometimes have to describe a large path. A transmission with an often very high transmission ratio has therefore been created by means of levers or gears or other transmission means. Such high gear ratios, however, have an unfavorable effect as the masses sitting on the actuating shafts describe a long path in a short time and have to experience a sudden arrest in the desired position.
In this case, the locking devices must be dimensioned to be large in order to avoid excessive stress on the material. Another disadvantage is that with a large gear ratio, exact locking and thus precise setting are difficult to achieve.
These disadvantages can easily be avoided in the electrical communication device according to the invention. The same is provided with push-button adjustment, the push-buttons mechanically on a shaft used for actuating control elements
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
act for the purpose of optional adjustment of this shaft to predetermined positions, and is characterized in that devices for both coarse adjustment and fine adjustment are provided and the coarse adjustment and fine adjustment are effected one after the other when a push button is pressed.
In the drawings, for example, embodiments of the electrical communication device according to the invention are shown, on the basis of which the invention is to be explained in more detail.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, a shaft which actuates the tuning means of a radio receiver or other control elements is denoted by 1. On this shaft sits a pulley 2, over which the two pieces of rope 3 and 4 run, which are fastened with their other ends to a displaceable bracket 5. The rope ends 3 and 4 are attached to the roller 2 in such a way that when the bracket 5 is shifted to the left, the rope ends 3 and 4 tension one after the other until the same tension on the rope ends 3 and 4 brings the roller 2 into a very specific position becomes. The bracket 5 is connected to the pushbutton 7 by an intermediate member 6.
At the other end of the bracket there is an attachment 8 which is used for mounting and which carries a spring 9. which pushes the bracket to the right.
On the actuating shaft 1 there is also an arm 10, which at its free end has an incision 11 which is to be tapered towards the shaft. A lug 12 on the bracket 5 fits into this incision and is moved towards the shaft when the pushbutton 7 is pressed. When the pushbutton is actuated, a rotation of the actuating shaft 1 is thus initially effected in such a way that the arm 10 is brought approximately into the position indicated. The fine adjustment is then effected by pressing the button again, Zoobei the nose 12 engages in the cutout 11 of the arm 10.
The fine adjustment becomes more precise, the longer the lever arm 10 is designed. In Fig. an improved embodiment of the device shown in FIG. 1 is shown. Here, the nose 12 is not rigidly connected to the bracket 5, but only forms with it. the part 6 and the push button 7 a rigid part. The lever 5 has a bore 13 through which the part 6 passes. Here, the bracket: 5 is pressed against the nose 12 by a spring 14, which lies between the fork 5 and a ring 15 fixed on the part 6. The spring 14 is dimensioned in relation to the spring 9 so that a greater pressure is exerted by it.
When the button 7 is actuated, the bracket 5 will first slide to the left, o that the rope ends 3 and 4 are stretched and the rotating arm for example. is brought into the position shown. If the ends of the rope are now tightened, the spring 14 will yield when the pressure is pressed again, so that the nose 12 can now be easily pressed into the recess 11 of the arm 10, thus effecting the fine adjustment.
An additional part can be used to achieve a particularly precise setting.
In Fig. 3: such an embodiment is shown. In this case, the nose 1.9 no longer sits firmly on the part 6, but is movably attached to the stationary intermediate part 17, which is attached to the frame 18, with the aid of a leaf spring 16. This has the advantage. that inaccuracies in the setting, which are caused by poor guidance of the part 6 in the frame, can be avoided. In this case, the spring 14 can be attached to the rear part 8 of the movable member and is larger in size than the spring 9, which in this case is attached between the push button 7 and the frame 18.
When the button 7 is pressed, only the spring 9 is initially compressed, while the sleeve 19, which is displaceable on the part 8, is pushed to the left, so that the cable ends 3 and 4 are tightened. In this position the bracket 1.5 is attached to the leaf spring 16
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
arrived, so that when the push button 7 is pressed again, the nose 12 is pressed into the recess of the projection 10, while the sleeve 19 can no longer be moved further to the left. An adjustment respectively. Adjustment of the setting can be made particularly easy in this case.
The leaf spring 16 can be provided with slot-like holes at its fastening point. through which two screws 20 and 21 pass, so that before tightening the screws 20 and 21, the spring 19 is still up and respectively. can be moved downwards.
Another embodiment is shown in FIGS. 4, 5 and 6.
4 and 5, 1 denotes the actuating shaft. On the shaft 1 sits a roller 2, which is either directly connected to the shaft or drives the shaft through a special coupling. The roller 2 is provided with teeth 3 which engage in a perforated belt or chain 4. The band or the chain 4 is fastened at the ends to the parts 5 and 6 which are firmly connected to the chassis. An imperforate pulley and rope could also be used.
A slide-like part 9 is connected to the pushbutton 11 and the push rod 10 attached to it, which part follows the movement of the pushbutton when the pushbutton 1 is actuated. At the lower part of the slide 9 two rollers 7 and 8 are attached, which BEZW when the button 11 and thus the slide 9 are pressed against the tape. Lay the chain 4 and tighten the belt in such a way that both loops are the same length. In this case, the roller 2 is carried along, so that it executes a corresponding rotation, in the present case a clockwise rotation.
With the rotation of the roller, the actuating shaft is moved into a position approximately corresponding to the desired setting.
From the arrangement it can be seen that when the circumference of the tooth t '2 moves by a certain amount, the rollers 7 and 8 and thus the slide and the push button cover a distance that is half as great. This translation has the ratio 1: 2.
A stop piece 23 is also firmly connected to the shaft 1. This stop piece is attached so that when the chain is tightened, respectively. The side of the tape located at the top in FIG. 4 rotates so that it comes to rest against the stops 26 and 27 located on the slide. The stops 26 and 27 thus cause the rotating parts to be locked and, by pressing them against the upper side of the stop piece 23, effect a precise setting of the actuating shaft.
An easily detachable coupling with a lever arrangement can be used between the toothed roller and the actuating shaft, which makes it possible to subsequently adjust any position of the actuated tuning elements on the relevant pushbutton. For this purpose, a holding part 12, 13 is connected to the toothed roller 2 on both sides. Egzenter levers 14 and 15 are rotatably mounted about axes 16 and 17 on this holding part.
The eccentric levers have lugs 18 and 19 on their longer arm, over which a spring 20 is pushed, which acts in such a way that these longer lever arms are pushed apart.
In Fig. 6 these eccentric levers 14 and 15 are shown in more detail. The shorter arms of the eccentric levers face a roller 22 which is fastened to the actuating shaft 1 with the aid of a mandrel 21. As a result of the spring pressure of the spring 20, the eccentric levers are pressed firmly against the roller 22 and in this way bring about the holding parts 12 and 13 and also the roller 2 with the actuating shaft. The position of the eccentric levers is such that, in the state of the completed setting, the longer arms of the levers 14 and 15 face a disk 29 located on the guide rod 10.
By
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
a strong spring 28 pushes the pushbutton 11 outwards, so that this spring is not compressed when it is actuated to adjust the tuning means. At normal actuation pressure, the push button 11 forms a solid piece with the slide 9. The spring 28 is only compressed when the pushbutton 11 is pressed more strongly, and the disk 29 located at the lower end of the guide rod 10 is moved towards the levers 14 and 15. The special design of the disc 29 (e.g. hollowing out of disc 29) and lever ends 14 and 15 (e.g. tapering of the lever ends) ensures that the lever ends are brought closer to one another and the spring 20 is compressed.
This causes the coupling between the roller and the actuating shaft to be released so that the actuating shaft can now be rotated freely as long as the greater pressure on the key continues. If a different setting of the actuators for the pushbutton in question is to be selected, the pushbutton 11 is firmly pressed and the tuning shaft carrying the tuning means or other control elements is brought into the desired position by a device not shown. In this way it is e.g. B. possible to set a specific station for the relevant pushbutton. A certain setting can also be corrected in this way.
After releasing the pushbutton, the disk 29 moves away from the lever ends 14 and 1.5. so that the coupling between the roller and the shaft is tight again.
To release the clutch, the push button must be pressed in much deeper than is necessary for normal operation. In order to prevent unintentional loosening of the coupling by pressing the pushbutton too hard, the spring, which is pressed or pressed when the coupling is loosened, must be removed. is tensioned, be dimensioned much larger than the spring necessary to return the pushbutton. Despite these different dimensions of the two springs, it can happen that the operator causes an unwanted release of the clutch due to excessive pressure on the button. so that an inaccurate or even wrong setting is caused.
Excessive dimensioning of the spring, which is pressed or pressed when the clutch is released. is clamped, but is also a disadvantage, because then the individual parts must be dimensioned more heavily.
If a new setting of the tuning element or other regulating element is to be made, the pushbutton must remain depressed until the new setting, which is effected by hand, is found until the coupling between the roller and the shaft is released. The operator of the communication device therefore expediently works with both hands. With one hand he brings the tuning elements or other control elements into the desired position, while with the other hand he keeps the pushbutton pressed.
In order to make working on the keyboard easier, a device can be used which avoids unintentional activation of the clutch when the key is pressed.
This is shown on the basis of the further embodiment shown in FIGS.
In Fig. 7 and 8, 1 denotes the actuating shaft on which a toothed wheel 2 sits loosely. The wheel 2 has on the extension in the axial direction a stop 3, which together with stops 3 'effects fine adjustment, similar to the stops 23 and 26, 27 in FIG. 5, and a coupling device 4. The coupling device acts on the Shaft 1 fixed disk 5, which couples it to the stop 3, and corresponds to the coupling 14, 15 in FIG. 5. If the push button 6 is depressed, the roller 7 is placed against the toothed belt 8. The toothed belt 8 is now tensioned and rotates the toothed wheel 2.
Through the coupling device 4
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
the disk 5 is taken along and the shaft 1 is thus rotated. When the button 6 is depressed, the part 9 comes to a standstill just above the coupling device 4 as a result of a safety device. A further depression of the push button 6 is no longer possible, since the bolt 11 connected to the button 6 is held by a slot 13 made in the cylindrical part 16.
The parts 11 and 16 form a bayonet lock. A further downward movement of the button can only be achieved by turning the button 6. The pin 11, which is moved to the left when the knob 6 is turned, is guided in the slot 13. A cracked tab 15 is provided on the holding part 14 of the mechanical pushbutton system. The bolt 11 engages under this tab shortly before it has reached its end position.
As soon as the adjustment mechanism is depressed and the pressure of the spring 10 is overcome, the bolt 11 is brought into the lowest position by turning the button in the bayonet slot and at the same time grasped by the tab 15 and the mechanism is held in this position. The part 9, which is fastened to the end of this rod 12, is now pressed against the coupling device 4 by the rod 12. This releases the coupling so that the disk 5 and with it the shaft 1 are now freely rotatable.
The bolt 11 and the bracket 15 thus form a locking device for locking the actuating elements of the coupling in the position in which the coupling is released. If the button is to be returned to its rest position after the actuating shaft 1 has been set, the bolt 11 is brought out of the tab 15 by slightly turning the button back, and the push button is returned to its starting position by the pressure of the spring 10.
