Schallwiedergabeanlage.
Fig. 1 zeigt eine Schallwand mit einem Lautsprecher für das Hochfrequenzgebiet und einem solchen für das Niederfrequenzgebiet; Fig. 2 zeigt die elektrische Schaltung für die Wiedergabe des Hoch- und des Nieder frequenzgebietes durch besondere Lautspre cher; Fig.3 und 4 stellen zwei Ausführungs formen der akustischen Abschirmung dar;

Sound reproduction system. The invention relates to a sound reproduction system with at least two loudspeakers which are intended for reproducing unequal frequency ranges.
Known systems of this type have, for example, a single baffle on which one or more speakers are arranged for the reproduction of the area of high frequencies and one or more speakers for the area of low frequencies.
Also guests of radio devices, with a loudspeaker for the reproduction of the high frequency range and a loudspeaker for the reproduction of the low frequency range, also a gino sound reproduction system with one or more horn loudspeakers for the reproduction of the high frequency range, in which the horn loudspeakers are above or next to a Baffle with several loudspeakers are arranged for the reproduction of the low frequency range,
belong to such sound reproduction devices. In these playback systems it is generally possible that the acoustic air vibrations generated by the loudspeakers for one frequency range reach the membrane of the loudspeaker intended for the other frequency range or the other frequency ranges and cause parasitic vibrations in the same.
In particular, the vibrations of the low-frequency range, which spread out in all directions, impart undesirable vibrations to the loudspeaker membranes for reproducing the high-frequency range, which distort the sound in the high-frequency range.
According to the invention, an acoustic shield is arranged between the loudspeakers reproducing the various frequency regions. As a result of this shielding, the effect of acoustic air vibrations from one frequency range to loudspeakers for the other frequency range or the other frequency ranges can be avoided.
This acoustic shield can be designed as a non-permeable screen around the loudspeakers for the high-frequency range as well as a non-permeable screen around the loudspeaker for the low-frequency range for the high frequencies.
But since the harmful influence of the low frequencies with. Their larger amplitudes on the light diaphragms of the loudspeakers for the high frequencies is stronger than, conversely, the influence of the high frequencies on the heavy diaphragms for the reproduction of the low frequencies, it is advantageous to use the loudspeaker or the loudspeakers for the high frequencies to provide an acoustic shield against the low frequencies.
In the event that the loudspeakers are installed together in a box. it may be more advantageous to use an acoustically shielding cover for the speaker for the low frequencies. provided, which can also serve to dampen undesired resonances, such as box resonances.
Embodiments of the subject invention are shown in the accompanying drawing voltage.
1 shows a baffle with a loudspeaker for the high-frequency range and one for the low-frequency range; Fig. 2 shows the electrical circuit for the reproduction of the high and low frequency areas by special speakers; 3 and 4 show two execution forms of acoustic shielding;
5 and 7 show a playback system in which a low, an intermediate and a high frequency area through. separate loudspeakers are reproduced; Fig. 6 shows a box with a radio and two speakers, one for the high frequency and one for the low frequency area. ebiet.
In FIG. 1, 3 is a loudspeaker which, among other things, consists of a diaphragm 5 and a drive system 7, which is for example an electrodynamic, piezoelectric or similar system that is mounted in front of an opening 11 on a baffle 9 . This baffle 9 can be both a flat plate accessible on all sides and the front wall of a box. On the same baffle, a loudspeaker 13, including a membrane 15 and a drive system 17, is arranged in front of an opening 19.
The loudspeaker 3 is suitable for reproducing the dead center frequency area, the loudspeaker 13, on the other hand, is better suited for reproducing the low frequencies.
The two loudspeakers mentioned above are in close proximity to one another, so that there is a possibility that the acoustic vibrations emitted by one loudspeaker exert an undesirable influence on the movements of the membrane of the other loudspeaker. To avoid this, the loudspeaker 3 intended for the reproduction of the high frequencies is provided with an acoustic shield 21 in the form of a capsule made of fiber such as wood, pressed wood fiber, cardboard or with a metal shield.
This capsule 21 adjoins the baffle 9 in an airtight manner and therefore prevents the vibrations from exerting an influence on the membrane 5. This shielding 21 is located exclusively on the rear of the loudspeaker 3 and thus only prevents the penetration of the acoustic vibrations on this side, but the rigidity of the enclosed air masses is sufficient to avoid a harmful effect of the long vibrations entering the loudspeaker 3 from the outside through the opening 11.
On the other hand, however, the resonance frequency of the air mass enclosed in the capsule 21 must be sufficiently low in order not to. affect the reproduction of the speaker 3. There. but the loudspeaker 3 only reproduces the higher frequency range need not be feared for the so-called box resonance to occur.
If this capsule 21 is of such a composition, for example made of scooped paper or a similar thin material, that the high frequencies are only slightly weakened, while the low tones are retained due to the more rigid shape, is for the There is practically no shielding in high tones.
In Fig. 2, 5 is the loudspeaker for the high frequencies and 15 is the one for the low frequencies. A source of alternating current sound such as a radio receiver, gramophone or the like is schematically represented by 23. By means of the matching transformer 24, both the coil 25 of the loudspeaker 5 and the coil 29 of the loudspeaker 15 are fed. The latter coil is short-circuited by means of the capacitor 27 for the higher frequencies.
In Fig. 3, a simple and appropriate acoustic shield for a specific for the reproduction of high frequencies speaker 3 is shown against the niedri gene frequencies. A hemispherical body 31 made of fiber material, such as white paper or cardboard, is glued to the baffle 9 with a flange. Although the material of this shield is lighter than the one of the shield 21 in Fig. 1, the inner resistance is due to the favorable shape of this body was sufficient. to protect the loudspeaker 3 against the strong Schallwel lendes loudspeaker for the low frequency area acoustically. The inside of this body can be covered with felt if desired.
In Fig. 4, another form of the acoustic acoustic shield is shown. A paper cone 33 in the form of a membrane of a large loudspeaker is slipped over the loudspeaker 3. This cone is made from scooped paper pulp, as is customary for speaker diaphragms, or it is cut out of a flat arc and shaped into a cone. The rigid construction of this cone ensures adequate shielding, while its manufacture is particularly easy.
Although the acoustic shield 21 in Fig. 1 surrounds the loudspeaker 3 quite closely and thereby forms an effective shield for the low-frequency vibrations, the reproduction quality of the high tones is not impaired. The wave length of these high tones is namely short compared to the depth of the box 21, especially when this speaker is intended for the reproduction of the frequency range between 4000 and 10,000 Hertz.
If the division between the frequency ranges to be reproduced by the loudspeakers has to be at a low frequency, for example between 300 and 400 Hertz, it is often advantageous to use three separate frequency bands and to reproduce using at least 3 loudspeakers to be made, as shown in FIG. On a baffle 9, this time in the form of a closed box, three speakers 3, 4 and 14 are net angeord.
The loudspeaker 3 is used to reproduce the area from 4,000 to 10,000, if necessary up to 14,000 Hertz. This loudspeaker is protected by an acoustic shield 33, as was described with reference to FIG. If necessary, shields according to FIGS. 1 and 3 can also be used for this purpose. The middle frequency range, the lower limit of which is between 300 and 400 Hertz and the upper limit of 4000 Hertz, is provided with a screen box 26.
To increase the damping of this shielding, it is covered with a layer of felt 22 on the inside. To reduce the possibly occurring box resonance close to the lower limit of the frequency range given again by this loudspeaker, the shielding is further provided with an opening 18 in which an acoustic filter 20 made of metal gauze is arranged.
This filter has a frequency below the lowest frequency that can be reproduced by this loudspeaker
