In der Zeichnung ist die Erfindung in drei Ausführungsformen beispielsweise ver anschaulicht, und zwar zeigt: Fig. 1 im Längsschnitt eine erste Aus führungsform einer Thermostat-Mischbatterie, in einer ersten Stellung des Regelorganes, Fig. 2 zeigt im Längsschnitt dieselbe Ausführungsform der Thermostat-Mischbat- terie in einer zweiten Stellung des Regel organes;
Mixer faucet controlled by a thermostat for two liquids of different temperatures. The invention relates to a thermostat-controlled mixer faucet for two liquids of different temperatures, in which a control element which regulates the flow rates of the two liquids is designed as a hollow cylinder slide, and in which the flow openings and flow channels in the control element as well as in the mixer tap body large and shaped in such a way that no force is exerted on it by the liquids in any regulating position of the hollow cylinder slide,
which is sufficient to move it in its longitudinal direction, as is the case, for example, with thermostatic mixer batteries in which the control element is designed as a plate or cone valve.
In the drawing, the invention is illustrated in three embodiments, for example, namely shows: Fig. 1 in longitudinal section a first embodiment of a thermostatic mixer, in a first position of the control member, Fig. 2 shows in longitudinal section the same embodiment of the thermostatic mixer - terie in a second position of the regulating organ;
3 shows a longitudinal section through a second embodiment of a thermostat mixer tap with a position of the control element which corresponds to that of FIG. 1; FIG. 4 shows in section a third embodiment of the control element; Fig. 5 shows in section a further imple mentation form of an item.
It is assumed that cold and hot water are to be mixed with the thermostatic mixer tap described below in order to dispense temperature-controlled water for shower purposes.
In Fig. 1, 1 is the mixer tap body, 2 the connection piece for the hot water, 3 the connection piece for the cold water, 12 and 13 the annular chambers for these two water, the control element is designed as a hollow cylinder slide 4 and is by means of the axle bolt 8 at 9 rotatably attached to the thermostat 10. The thermostat 10 can be a well-known type of corrugated pipe thermostat filled with expansion liquid or a bimetal thermostat of any type and shape.
By turning the threaded spindle 17 on the pointer handle 19, the thermostat 10 with the hollow cylinder slide 4 attached to it is adjusted in the aluminum battery body 1 so that either, as FIG. 1 shows, the upper edge 5 of the hollow cylinder slide is preset closer to the hole 15, so that less cold water flows through it, d. H. the mixed water temperature is higher, or the lower edge 6 is preset closer to the hole 16, as shown in FIG. 2, so that less hot water flows through, d. H. the mixed water temperature is cooler.
The holes 15 and 16 are just so large that the Hohlzy cylinder slide 4 slides through with practically the smallest game. If, for whatever reason, the cold water remains away, the hollow cylinder slide 4 can slide into the hole 16 when the thermostat 10 expands and closes the hot water passage almost completely without encountering any resistance, so that the thermostat moves up to its can extend the greatest length without being damaged. The opposite occurs if, for whatever reason, the hot water is absent and the thermostat 10 contracts to its shortest length.
Here, the upper edge ä of the hollow cylinder slide 4 slides into the hole 15 and closes the cold water passage almost completely, also without encountering resistance and without being damaged because the movement is nowhere inhibited.
The cold water flows from the Rirrgkam- rner 13 through the hole 15 to the mixing chamber 11, the hot water flows from the annular chamber 12 through the holes 14 and 7 in the hollow cylinder 4 to the mixing chamber 11, where they mix and thereby the thermostat 10. do the washing up. When the outlet nozzle 21 of the upper part-body 20, the line is connected to the Du rule.
All throughflow channels and throughflow openings of the mixer tap body 1 and in the movable hollow cylinder slide 4 (14, 7) are shaped and dimensioned so large in cross section that in no position of the hollow cylinder slide 4 is a sufficient force exerted on it by the liquid To move the hollow cylinder slide 4 serving as a control element in the longitudinal direction and disturb the control has the influence, as z.
This applies, for example, to thermostatic mixer taps in which the regulating elements are designed as disc or cone valve cones.
In the embodiment of FIG. 3, the flow channels in the hollow cylinder slide 4 are arranged so that water entering the hole 14 of the cylinder from below between your edge 6 and your hole 16 is passed laterally through openings 23 into channels 24 in mixer tap body 1 and from there to the mixing chamber 11. In this second embodiment, the cold water flows from the annular chamber 13 through the hole 15 directly to the mixing chamber 11, as in the first embodiment of FIGS. 1 and 2 described above.
Also in this second Ausführungsbei game, the flow cross-sections of the flow channels for the cold water and the hot water in the mixer body 1 as in the hollow cylinder slide 4 are dimensioned so large and shaped so that no force is exerted on it in any position of the hollow cylinder slide that would disturb the regulation could produce an impact.
4 shows a third embodiment of the mixer tap body 1 with an associated hollow cylinder slide 4. Here, the mixer battery body 1 is supplied with the cold water from the left through the connection piece 3, and the hot water from the bottom through the connection piece 2 from the right. Furthermore, the upper edge 25 and the lower edge 26 of the hollow cylinder slide 4 are designed to be crown-like jagged, the crown ends in the holes 15 respectively. 16 reach in.
With this crown-like edge shaping of the hollow cylinder slide, more precise regulation of the volume of the cold and hot water to be mixed can be achieved. Instead of a hollow cylinder slide 4 according to FIG. 4 with crown-like jagged edge shapes, a number of small bores 27, as shown in FIG. 5, can be seen as the passage of water from the annular chambers 12 and 13 to the flow openings 14 and 15.
