Device for heating the drying air from hair drying hoods. In the case of hair-drying hoods that have been used up to now, electric heating is used to warm the drying air, which makes it very expensive to use.
The purpose of the invention is to reduce the operating costs of the hair drying hoods. In an expedient embodiment, it allows the use of the hood to be made possible where no elec tric current is available.
The device is used for hoods that have a fan that holds the drying air in circulation through the hood, and the device has one or more tubes that go through a housing to be attached to the outside of the drying hood and that have their ends with the spaces in front of and behind the ventilator are to be brought into communication, furthermore a heating device located in this housing, which can be operated with a fuel, for heating this tube or tubes. The stimulus device can, for example, consist of one or more gas burners, or of one or more, we kenden burners with liquid fuel.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the device, namely in FIG. 1 in vertical longitudinal section and in FIG. 2 in cross section along line I-I in FIG.
In the hood 1 there is arranged the fan 2, which is used to keep the drying air circulating through the hood, in front of which the protective plate 4, which is provided with the sieve material 3 in its central part, is located. The tube 5 connects to the part of the hood 1 located behind the fan 2.
The device shown is now attached to the hood 1, or to its housing part 6, that the tube 7 used to heat the drying air with its one end into the space in front of the fan 2, or in front of the protective plate 3, with its other End into the space behind the fan 2, or into the tube 5 opens. The heating device, which consists of several gas burners 8, is arranged under the tube 7. The heating device and the tube 7 encloses the housing 9, which is inside (but can also be outside) covered with heat insulating material 20 ver.
The housing 9 has an opening provided with the sieve material 11 at the bottom for the introduction of the combustion air, but at the top an opening provided with the sieve material 12 for the exit of the combustion gases. The gas flowing out of the burners 8 can pass through the door 13 of the housing 9 to be lit.
In order not to have to repeatedly ignite the gas from the outside during work in order to restart the heating system, which may be interrupted during use, a pilot burner 14 is provided in housing 9, which is constantly burning during operation.
When the fan 2 is brought into action and the gas burners 8 are angezün det, then the fan 2 brings the heated air in the direction of the arrows in circular motion.
The device according to the invention can of course also be used for hoods already provided with electrical heating devices) (see 15 in FIG. 1).
