Device for forming a dust-air mixture and for supplying it to the working space of internal combustion engines for dust-like fuels. The invention relates to a device for forming a dust-air mixture and feeding the fuel into the working space of internal combustion engines for dust-like fuels.
According to the invention, in the lower part of the reservoir, a swirl space covered by a bell, into which swirl air is let in, and an injector nozzle in the swirl space is arranged, which sucks a dust-air mixture out of the swirl space of the bell when suction and compressed air flow through, wherein the extracted mixture with the air flow passed through the injector nozzle to the work space BEZW. comes to this sem upstream rooms.
Preferably, air is continuously blown in under the bell-shaped vortex space through ring-shaped nozzles and in this way, with constant vigorous swirling of the dust with this air, a complete breakdown of the same is brought about within the bell-shaped vortex space, from which the fuel dust-air mixture necessary for a work cycle is sucked becomes.
Here, the dust-air mixture formed under the vortex bell can be used to operate one or more cylinders. but also for the operation of pulverized fuel turbines. The air blown into the vortex bell is preferably dimensioned in such a way that the whirled up dust-air mixture is formed in excess compared to that sucked off by the internal combustion engine, the vortex air blown in in excess, for example, through slots from the vortex bell or. can escape through the filter from the dust container. .
The preferably funnel-shaped shape of the bottom surface of the dust container causes the dust to slide easily and suck in into the vortex bell. A ring-shaped vortex flow can also be generated by suitable guide surfaces within the vortex space kc1kn, from which the fuel dust-air mixture is sucked. By admitting less or more turbulent air, a dust-air mixture can be generated in any desired dilution.
The extracted mixture then arrives with the air flow passed through the injector nozzle to the working area. to an upstream space (antechamber or the like). So it is the dust from the reservoir, if necessary, via a fuel inlet valve un indirectly BEZW in the cylinder. Introduced into the antechamber without @that special conveying devices or the like would be required in this way.
The dust comes with air already mixed intimately into the cylinder respectively. management leading to the antechamber.
The - # Virbelglocke is expediently designed in the form of a pear with the tip pointing upwards and has a centrally arranged injector ring nozzle inside, which is preferably designed as a controllable ring valve, its stroke change, for example, depending on a speed controller serves to measure the dust-air mixture sucked in with each stroke and can thus also be used to control the machine. It can also be provided with a feed line for the suction or compressed air to be fed through the injector nozzle.
The pear shape of the bell gives a particularly favorable design for the dust slipping down from above or. of the space enclosed by it, which is used to whirl up the dust before it is vacuumed through the nozzle.
One of the two parts forming the annular gap of the injector nozzle can also be displaceable in the axial direction instead of as a liftable valve, so that the nozzle can be closed by its displacement or the slot gap can be set to a certain opening width.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of the subject matter of the invention is Darge, namely Fig. 1 shows a vertical section through the lower part of a storage container with the device according to the invention, Fig. 2 shows a second embodiment in a schematic representation, Fig. 3 shows a third possible embodiment in schematic representation.
In Fig. 1, the storage container is denoted by 1 fair the dust. This Vorratsbehäl ter can be designed as a bunker or as an auxiliary container. The dust is deposited in it by known means. The storage container can be ventilated from the outside so that the dust easily slides in. The lower part of the storage container 1 is, for example, designed like a funnel. On the funnel-shaped part 2 of the reservoir 1, a bell 3 is attached, which is open at the bottom. The connection with the funnel 2 is made by ribs 4. Through an annular slot 6 at the bottom of the funnel, vortex air is blown into the bell-shaped vortex space.
An air supply line 9 opens into the bell 3. The air flowing through the air supply line 9 passes through the duct 10 into the line 11 leading to the engine. An injector nozzle 12 is switched on in the duct 10. One of the two parts forming the injector nozzle, e.g. B. the part 13 is displaceable in the axial direction, so that by moving the nozzle ring gap 14 can be closed or opened to a certain width, or the part 13 is controlled in time with the machine.
The nozzle part 13 is expediently displaced or controlled via a controller.
Within the bell 3, a vortex space 15 is formed, which is equipped with guide surfaces 16 from. The guide surfaces could also be omitted. The vortex space can be connected to the storage container 1 through slots 17 upwards. : The operation of the device shown in Fig. 1 is as follows: In the reservoir 1, dust is deposited by known means. The fuel staubsta.nd in the storage container 1 can be kept constant by any means.
In the vortex space 15 under the bell 3 is continuously blown through the annular gap 6 'vortex air, which BEZW through the between the lower edge of the bell and the container. Funnel bottom formed gap fuel sucks in the vortex formed by it. The dust and air mixture formed in excess can pass through the slots 17 from the swirl space 15 into the container 1.
In order to achieve the most complete processing possible, i.e. separation of the dust into its individual particles, a circular effect can be achieved by means of guide surfaces 16, such that the coal dust particles are connected to the on circuit for a long time before they are fed to the engine - resp. Participate in the whirling process. The antechamber or the combustion chamber of the cylinder can be charged using compressed air or in the suction stroke.
As soon as the charge he should follow, the nozzle piece is BEZW. Ring valve 13 moved downwards. The suction or compressed air flowing in through the line 9, as it flows through the injector nozzle 12 from the swirl chamber 15, entrains the fuel dust which has already been dissolved in a dust-air mixture. The dust is whirled up to form a dust-air mixture can also be added in such a way that when it is sucked into the injector nozzle 12, air is sucked in through the annular gap 6.
This air introduces part of the fuel dust from the lower part of the storage container into the Wirbelkam mer 15 and is swirled vigorously with air by the shape of the vortex chamber in it. The vortex within the chamber 15 repeatedly pulls up the fuel dust from the lower part. Part of the dust-air mixture that is swirled around one another is sucked off through the injector nozzle 12. Another part of the mixture escapes through the slots 17 into the dust container.
The device shown in FIG. 1 is located directly above the cylinder head of the machine and feeds the engine through the line 11, if necessary via a fuel inlet valve.
Many changes to the embodiment described above are of course possible. As shown in FIG. 2, the bell 3 ′ that is everted over the injector nozzle 12 can, for example, have a line 19 that extends centrally and is covered by a screen 18.
The air supplied by means of compressed air or sucked in by the engine flows here, for example, through the line 9 'to the injector nozzle 12. 20 is an annular space fed with compressed air or connected to the outside air, which is slit through a ring 21 is connected to the reservoir 1 'ver.
The air introduced under pressure or sucked in by the engine through line 20 generates a dust-air mixture under the glockenför-shaped vortex space 3 ', which is fed through the injector nozzle 12, as in the embodiment of FIG. 1, to the engine. The excess vortex mixture with constant blowing of vortex air can escape through line 19 upwards. By means of the screen 18, the ingress of dust from above into the vortex space is avoided ver, while the escaped dust through the line 19 settles in the container again.
The excess vortex air can be made to escape in a known manner.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the device according to the invention is installed in a downpipe 1 "which is connected to a dust bunker. 9" is the supply line for the suction or compressed air to the injector nozzle 12. The bell 3 "essentially has the the same design as the bell 3 according to FIG. 1. 20 'is the space corresponding to the hollow ring space 20 according to FIG. 2 for supplying the fluidized air.
