Gasbrenner.
Gas burner. The present invention is a gas burner, e.g. B. for coal gas, with a gas inlet piece from which at least one pipe provided with a series of holes branches off.
On the pipe of the gas burner according to the invention, nozzles are arranged in such a way that each axis of a nozzle coincides with the axis of a hole in the pipe, each of these nozzles having inlet openings on both sides of the pipe through which the for mixing with the one from the hole escaping gas neces sary air flows in.
The drawing shows an embodiment example of the subject matter of the invention. Fig. 1 is a perspective view of this embodiment; Fig. 2 shows a section along a pipe of the gas burner.
The drawn gas burner has a gas inlet piece 11, with a relatively large diameter, and a number of spaced apart parallel, transverse conduit pipes 12 of smaller diameter, which are connected to the former. The surface of each conduit tube 12 has a series of needle-fine holes 13 through which the gas can escape.
Nozzles 16, each with an opening 15 through which the igniting gas air mixture exits, are arranged on each pipe in such a way that a nozzle axis each coincides with the axis of a hole 13.
Each nozzle 16 consists of a pipe piece, the inner diameter of which is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the pipe 12 and which is provided with transverse opposing bores by means of which the nozzle is pushed onto the pipe 12. On both sides of the pipe 12 there are openings between this and the lower end of the nozzle 16, through which the air required for mixing with the gas emerging from the holes 13 flows in.
As can be seen from FIG. 2, each nozzle 16 forms a mixing chamber 14 which ends in the outlet opening 1.5 and in which the gas emerging from the hole 13 and the air flowing in through the aforementioned inlet openings mix.
The upper end of the pipe section forming the mixing chamber 14 is flattened in order to form a suitable outlet slot through which the combustion mixture escapes.
As a result of the described design of the mixing chamber, the incoming air flow is split up. before the gas has mixed with it. This and the small dimensions of each mixing chamber, respectively. the small amount of mixture it contains is effective in preventing flashback of the flame, and it is possible. to achieve an extremely favorable combustion mixture, so that the burner works with high efficiency in addition to the advantage of a simple and cheap design.
