Automatic fire extinguishing system triggered by fener monitoring organs. Facilities are already known which are intended to automatically smother damaging fires that have occurred. However, these facilities have various shortcomings. We know of systems through which such large quantities of water are hurled away when a fire breaks out that the entire building is flooded, so to speak, during the duration of a fire, and ultimately more damage is caused by the latter than by the fire.
The present invention relates to an automatic Feuerlöscbanlage with an extinguishing agent contained in the container, which can be expelled by compressed gas, the valve of the pressure gas container being actuated by an opening device as soon as a fire monitoring element which is responsive at a certain temperature closes the circuit which actuates the opening device Fire extinguishing system according to the invention different from an extinguishing agent main line,
Depending on the different rooms to be protected against fire damage, branch lines provided there with an adjustable extinguishing agent dispensing device, in each of which a shut-off valve is installed which can be opened by a falling weight and which is held in the closed position by a release device, whereby the device is triggered by closing an electrical circuit through at least one fire monitoring device that responds at a certain temperature, whereby this closing of the electrical circuit opens the compressed gas valve and only the extinguishing devices of those rooms are activated,
in which fire supervisory bodies have responded.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the automatic fire extinguishing system according to the invention is shown schematically. There show Fig. 1 the Schaltangs- and installation scheme of the system, Fig. 2 is a detail in view, Fig. 3 is a section along line I-1 in Fig. 2 and Fig. 4 and 5 a sprinkling pipe in view from below and in side view. In the scheme (Fig. 1) 1 is the pressurized gas container, for.
B. a carbon dioxide bottle, 2 the extinguishing agent container, 3 a reaction mass container for foam extinguishing and 4 the Bat terie (1 6-12 volts), which supplies the electricity for operating the system. A motor 5 with automatic shutdown (after the carbon dioxide bottle valve has been opened) actuates the valve spindle of the main valve of the pressurized gas container 1 via two gears 6, 7. The pressure medium line 8 is provided with a reducing valve 9 and opens into the extinguishing agent container 2.
A branch line 8 ′ of the same opens into the reaction mass container 3 and is provided with a tap 10. 11 is the main solvent line, which protrudes into the extinguishing agent container 2 by means of a riser pipe 12 and into the reactive mass container 3 by means of a riser pipe 13. Upstream of the main extinguishing agent line 11, branch lines 14 lead into the individual rooms of a building to protect them from fire damage.
A cock 15 is built into each branch line 14, on the plug axis of which a two-armed drop weight lever 16 is attached. The longer arm of the drop weight lever 16 bears the weight, while the other arm rests on the core of a relay 17 when it is raised when it is de-energized. In this raised pall weight position, the cock 15 is in the closed position.
The opening of each release branch line consists of a release agent dispensing device. In one branch line 14 it is formed by a ball joint 18 attached \ Vendrohr 19, which is moved back and forth and at the same time up and down in the event of a fire by a movement mechanism 21 driven by a motor 20, whereby the extinguishing agent on a certain , limited spatial area is scattered. The movement mechanism is expediently adjustable, so that the scatter field can be changed in position and size.
In the other branch line 14, the extinguishing agent dispensing device is formed by a län geres, provided over its entire length with lateral outlet openings, rotatably connected at 22 and arranged in the bearings 23 rotatably bar. An arm 25 is clamped onto the tube 24, which can be given a reciprocating motion by a motor 26 via toothed wheels and an eccentric so that the tube 24 reciprocates by a fraction of a revolution Rotary movement executes. As a result, the extinguishing agent exiting the holes in the tube 24 is given a certain scatter field.
By changing the clamping position of the lever 25, the position of the scatter field and the size of the scatter field can be adjusted by regulating the eccentric. One or more monitoring organs 27 are mounted vertically above the scatter field provided, which in the illustrated case give contact as heat-sensitive organs when a certain temperature is reached.
These monitoring organs have two terminals isolated from the ground and are used to close the battery circuit via the relay 17 when responding to the fire heat, namely via the grounded line 28 on the one hand and the lines 29, 30 on the other. By swinging the drop weight lever 16 of the cock 15 of the branch line 14 is opened and at the same time with the shorter arm end two isolated contact springs 31, 32 placed on pale.
This causes the circuit for the motor 5 to be closed (via line 28, contact spring 31, lines 35 and 29) to open the compressed gas valve, furthermore for the motor 20 respectively. 26 for actuating the release agent delivery device via line 28, contact spring 32, lines 36 and 29. Alarm bell 33 and light signal 34 are parallel to motor 5.
Operation of the system: If a fire breaks out in a room of a housing in which the system is installed, this causes the monitoring element 27 mounted there to respond when a certain temperature is reached. The relay 17 for putting the relevant extinguishing device into operation receives power, while the extinguishing devices of the rooms not affected by the fire remain out of operation. The taps 15 must finally be brought by hand and the valve of the container 1 by reversing the motor 5 in the closed position.
In cases where foam extinguishing is necessary, for example for sources of fire that can hardly be extinguished with water (oil, petroleum and similar fires), only the valve 10 of the system needs to be opened, which means that the carbonic acid pressure also acts on the reaction mass and this admixed through the riser pipe 13 to the extinguishing agent that is expelled from the container 2 through the riser pipe 12 out.
2 and 3 show a particularly suitable monitoring organ for these systems. This monitoring element has a multi-part metal bellows 37, which contains a medium that changes in volume under the influence of heat. The metal bellows 37 is enclosed in a capsule 38 on which a funnel 39 or a concave mirror is attached coaxially. The axis 40 of the bellows acts on one end of a two-armed lever 41, the other end of which protrudes outward through a slot in the capsule 38 and carries an adjustable contact screw 42. By expanding the bellows 37, the contact screw 42 strikes against a contact plate 43 which is insulated on the capsule 38 and to which the cable 30 leading to the relay 17 is connected.
The capsule 38 is attached to an arm 44 which is articulated on a holder 45 which can be attached to the wall or ceiling of the room. The joint axis is formed by a screw which, with nuts 46, are used to fix the joint and to connect the cable 29 leading to the battery. To protect against short circuits in the battery, a fuse or an automatic switch is built into the connection 28 or 29. To avoid the battery short circuit, the apparatus grounds (taps 15) and the monitoring elements 27 are electrically isolated from one another.
The monitoring element described can be designed in such a way that it is characterized by high sensitivity, which is extremely important for the safe functioning of the system described.
A particularly fine distribution of the extinguishing agent over a certain scattering field is achieved by a sprinkling tube 47 shown in FIGS rere rows of fine holes 48 for the exit of the extinguishing agent. 49 is the pipe part which is connected to the extinguishing agent line by means of a connecting sleeve and to whose elbow 50 the sprinkling pipe 47 is closed.
The pipe part 49 is on. a console 51 rotatably mounted and carries a worm wheel 52, which engages in a also mounted on the console 51 worm 53, the axis 54 of an electric motor 20 respectively. 26 (Fig. 1) is driven.
