Air switch with fnkhorns. The invention relates to an air switch, in particular for switching off higher currents, which is designed in the manner of a horn switch. The spark horns of known switches are usually designed in such a way that they diverge from the contact point after the Hör nerspitzen and after the attachment points with a flat curvature at an acute angle smaller than 30. When opening, a strong magnetic field then occurs due to the small distance between the spark horns, and the arc is driven towards the horn tips with great force due to the loop effect, where it goes out.
Such air switches have the disadvantage that the contact point is no longer clearly fixed with increasing wear (due to the flat course of the spark horns from the point of contact downwards. It can therefore happen that over time the contact point closes more and more towards the attachment point The result is that the arc extinguishing is worsened and the burn-off is greatly increased. It can even happen that the arc is not driven towards the horn tips, but remains at the contact point for a long time remains.
According to the invention, these disadvantages can be avoided in a simple manner by the fact that the spark horns are shaped in such a way that they diverge from the contact point towards the horn tips with a flat curvature at an angle of less than 300, below the Contact point but have a crank. In this way, it can be sufficient that the contact point cannot move downwards even in the event of a larger fire, which ensures that the arc is properly extinguished even after prolonged use. Below the offset, the contact horns are conveniently arranged parallel to each other so that a powerful loop effect is achieved.
In the drawing, the contacts formed as a spark horns from an exemplary embodiment of such an air switch are shown in the closed state. The spark horns a are shaped in such a way that they diverge from point bi of the contact point towards the horn tips with a flat curvature at an angle a smaller than 300. Below the contact point bz they are provided with the crankings c and then have a constant distance to the bends d.
