Die erhaltenen Farbstoffe besitzen die wertvolle Eigenschaft, Leder in Tönen, die sich von violett über blau nach schwarz er strecken, teils ein-, teils durchzufärben. So weit zur Herstellung der Farbstoffe Diazover- bindungen der Benzolreihe zur Verwendung gelangen und die fertig gebildeten Farbstoffe ausser der Alkyl-S0sH-Gruppe keine weitere Sulfonsäuregruppe enthalten, eignen sie sich insbesondere zum Färben von Wolle aus saurem Bade unter Kochtemperatur bei ge nügendem bis sehr gutem Ausziehen der Färbebäder.
Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines wasser löslichen Azofarbstoffes, welches dadurch ge kennzeichnet ist, dass man diazotiertes Amino- benzol in alkalischem Medium mit 1-Sulf- äthylamino-7-ogynaphthalin kuppelt.
<I>Beispiel:</I> Zu einer aus 253 Gewichtsteilen 1-Sulf- äthylamino-7-ogynaphthalin (erhältlich durch Kondensation von 1.-Amino-7-ogynaphthalin mit chloräthansulfonsaurem Natrium in Gegen wart eines säurebindenden Mittels), Wasser und 212 Gewichtsteilen Natriumcarbonat er haltenen Lösung läuft eine in üblicher Weise aus 93 Gewichtsteilen Aminobenzol erhaltene Diazolösung. Nach beendeter Kupplung wird der Farbstoff in üblicher Weise aus der Lö sung ausgesalzen, abgesaugt und getrocknet.
Er stellt ein schwarzes Pulver dar, das sich mit dunkelweinroter Farbe in Wasser löst und Leder in grauschwarzen Tönen ein färbt. Ferner zieht er unter Kochtemperatur auf Wolle aus saurem Bade unter guter Aus nutzung des Färbebades.
