Method for distributing a rust preventive liquid on inner surfaces of gas containers and apparatus for carrying out the method. The gas containers, which are closed at the bottom by sealing water, are exposed to the risk of rust to a high degree and therefore require careful rust protection.
Since it is very cumbersome and can bring significant operating losses with it when a gas container has to be taken out of service, it was previously not possible to use the entire inside of the gas container, which is particularly strong due to the moisture in the gas rusting is exposed, provided again with an anti-rust coating 7u. If leaks occur at the seams or rivets between the individual surfaces due to rust or emaciation of the sealing strips, then gas losses occur on the ceiling, which can take on a considerable amount.
It has been found that rust protection fluids can also be distributed on the inner surfaces of gas containers during operation by introducing a rotatable spray device, provided with at least one nozzle, into an opening on the ceiling.
The drawing shows four exemplary embodiments of the device according to the invention, with the aid of which the method according to the invention is explained, namely: Fig. 1 shows a curved, rigid spray tube with a nozzle mouthpiece in elevation, Figure 2 shows a joint spray device with a movable one Nozzle in elevation and Figs. 3 and 4 show a sprayer with a. Boom and several fixed nozzles arranged on the same in elevation.
In Fig. 1 to 4, the inner surfaces of the container 1 to be coated with rust protection liquid, the depressions 2 which carry the cover plates, the slide on the bell 1 and the supply line 4 for the rust protection liquid are shown. Fig. 1 shows the open slide 3 and an inserted through it, bent back at one end tube 5 through which the anti-rust liquid is pumped under appropriate pressure via the supply line 4 and by turning the tube 5 on the handle 6 to an annular zone of Inner surface of the container 1 is distributed.
By lowering or lifting the tube 5, which is made possible by adjusting the adjusting ring 7, by regulating the liquid pressure and by choosing the consistency of the liquid to be sprayed, the device is set to the range of the container to be met by the liquid jet. For the treatment of the entire inner surface, several tubes 5, 5 ', 5 ", etc. bent according to different radii of curvature are provided. The mounting depth and the position of the device when turning is indicated on the graduation 8 or by the pointer device 9.
If anti-rust liquid is now being pumped in, it exits through the jet pipe 5.5 ", etc. and is distributed on the inner surface of the container 1 by rotating the pipe on the handle 6.
The introduction of the pipe 5 or 5 'etc. through the slide 3 is possible despite the tube curvature because the overall height of the slide 3 is low and its clear width is relatively large.
Excessive escape of gas through the slide 3 when inserting the tube 5, 10 or 12 is prevented by a split and elastic sealing sleeve of known design that is slipped over the same.
In order to give the spray device a larger radius of action for larger containers, the device shown in Fig. 2 described below can be used instead of the curved, rigid pipe res 5.
This device consists essentially of the tiltable boom 10 with joint 11 on the rotatable column 12, which is suspended from the tower-like structure 13 resting on the container bell 1. By means of the joint 11 and the tensioning cables 14 and 14 ', the boom 10 can be adjusted from a vertically right downward position in which the boom 10 and the column 12 are inserted into the container in any position up to almost vertically upwards will. The setting of the casual, 10 is caused by rope strands 74 and 14 'wound on a winch 15 of conventional construction.
The winch 15 is attached to the end of the part of the rotatable column 12 protruding from the container. The boom 10 is pivoted by a known gear mechanism, the wheel 16 of which is axially displaceable on the rotatable column 12 and the pinion 17 of which is firmly seated on the bearing column 18 screwed to the container bell. The fact that the wheel 16 of the transmission is axially displaceably attached to the column 12 enables the device to be lowered or raised in the work stables by means of the pulley system 19 suspended on the tower-like structure 13.
The boom 10 is used to accommodate a movable in the longitudinal direction, a nozzle receiving carriage 20, which is in a guide 21 by an endless pull rope 22, which over steering and pulleys 23 and 23 'in the column 12 from a drum 24 to bezw . is handled,
can be moved from the center to the end of the boom 10 or vice versa.
The end of the boom 10 is designed in such a way that the slide 20 can be tilted from a position parallel to it into a position perpendicular to it, so that the device can also be used for spraying the vertical walls.
The position of the slide 20, the inclination of the boom 10 and its position during rotation, as well as the mounting depth of the device are indicated in a known manner by a device corresponding to the respective purpose.
This regulation of the various movements aims at an exact, even and economical distribution of the rust protection liquid in all corners and joints of the bell 1 and the stiffeners 2 the slide guide 21 lying, in the column 12 rising, depending on the movement of the slide 20 in and out hose 26.
The bracing 27 ensures the stability of the guide tower 13 and thus of the entire device.
In order not to put excessive strain on the ceiling 1 of the gas container, the load of the guide tower 13 and of the device itself is evenly distributed over the stiffeners 2 of the bell 1 by means of a rigid support frame 28.
Another possibility for the execution of the spray device shown in Fig. 2 is shown in Fig. 3. Instead of serving to take on a movable nozzle 25 boom 10 is a tube 29, along the length of which several nozzles 30, 30 ', 30 ", etc. are installed at certain intervals, either all at the same time, according to Fig. 3, or in Groups of 2 or 3 can be put into operation in sequence, as shown in Fig. 4. When all nozzles 30, 30 'etc. are switched on at the same time, the material is fed to them through the interior of the tube 29, which is connected to the Feed line 4 is verbun through a tube 31 rising up in the column 12.
With group-wise nozzle switching, there are as many smaller feed pipes 32, 32 ', etc. as there are groups of nozzles within the boom 33 designed as a tube The supply line 4 outside the container is produced by as many tubes 34, 34 ', etc., which go up in the column 12, as there are supply pipes 32, 32', etc.
The mode of operation of the injection device shown in Fig. 2 is as follows: If the guide tower 13 and the support frame 28 are built on the container cover 1 and the sprayer 19 is attached to the guide tower 13, either in the folded or stretched state, let into the container by the slide 3 and the bearing column 18, the boom 10 is brought into the working position by the winch 15 and the cable strands 14 and 14 '. If the anti-rust liquid is pumped in via the supply line 4 and the hose 26 under pressure from the nozzle 25, which is located in the initial position in the center of the boom 10, the material is uniformly applied to the inner surface of the container bell 1 by rotating the column 12 at the same time distributed in a circular area.
This process is repeated after moving the nozzle 25 until both the ceiling and the jacket of the bell is treated in several, anein other rows of circular surfaces. When using the boom according to Fig. 3 respectively. Fig. 4 is the entire inner surface in one or. treated in two steps.
Any of the known anti-rust liquids can be used to cover the gas container glooke, provided that it allows spraying.
