Bei dieser Vorrichtung ist der Anzug des Keils 4 etwas schwächer als der ReibuDgs- wirrkel voll Stahl auf Stahl und der Anzug der Keile 3 und 4 zusammen etwa doppelt so stark als del;
Device for clamping ropes and rods in the clamping heads of tensile testing machines. Devices for clamping ropes or rods by means of simple clamping wedges are known. In order for such wedges to securely grip ropes or rods of high specific strength and large dimensions, it is necessary that they have weak tightening, but this has the disadvantage that the wedges can become so tight in the clamping heads when the test object is loaded that they can only be loosened with great difficulty after the test specimen has been relieved, which occurs especially when the test specimen has not been loaded to the point of breakage and the clamping heads have not rebounded violently.
This deficiency can be remedied by special devices for retracting the spacin wedges, but this is complicated and expensive because of the great force that is required for this.
In the jig according to the invention, said inconvenience is avoided in that instead of simple clamping wedges at least two clamping wedge pairs are used, each of which consists of an outer and an inner wedge, the total tightening of both wedges is greater than the tightening of the inner wedge alone and wherein the outer wedge on the inside of the clamping head and the inner wedge is guided with its outer surface on the inside of the first-mentioned wedge and a jaw for grasping the rope BEZW on its inside. Has rod.
If the testing machine applies a tensile force to the rope, respectively. If the rod is exercised, the inner wedges are carried along by the test object, and in accordance with the weak tightening of the inner horny to a greater extent than the outer wedges, which slide only a little further in the clamping head due to the stronger overall tightening. If the test specimen is then relieved, the inner wedges usually do not loosen alone because of their weak tightening, but together with the outer wedges, which are pushed back due to the stronger overall tightening by the radial tensions of the clamping button, whereby all the wedges become free and themselves the test item can be removed.
Another advantage of this combination of two wedges ordered is that through an axial displacement; of the outer wedges in the case of remaining inner wedges, the latter only perform a normal movement to the rod axis and thus grasp the test specimen without - as is the case with previous clamping devices - hurried axial movement, which is especially an advantage when the test specimen hits a exactly prescribed length is to be clamped.
The two wedges of each clamping wedge pair are expediently coupled to one another by a friction clutch which, in the general direction of the wedges, enables displacement to one another while overcoming the friction resistance of the clutch. Furthermore, a rapid device for moving the outer wedge can be provided on the clamping head.
In the accompanying drawings, two embodiments of the subject invention are shown.
Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section of the first example of a jig; Figures 2 and 3 show cross-sections along the lines II-II and III-HI of Figure 1; Fig. 4 shows a section along line IV-IV of Fig. 3 and Fig. 5 shows a cross section of the second example.
In the example according to FIGS. 1-4, 1 denotes the clamping head, all the inside of which is guided in four grooves 2, four outer wedges 3, the outer planar sliding surfaces of which lie against the bottom of the grooves 2. On the inside of each wedge 3, a wedge 4 is guided by means of a groove 5 into which the outer wedge protrudes. The wedge 4 has a jaw 6 on all of its inside for gripping a round rope or rod 7. A clamping bracket 8 is clamped to each wedge 4 by a screw 9 in such a way that the hurried leg rests on the wedge 4 and the other leg on the wedge 3.
This clamping bracket 8 forms a friction clutch and egg, allows the two wedges to be shifted zueinan while overcoming the frictional resistance between your wedge 3 and your one leg of the bracket B. At each wedge 3 is also formed on one side of a toothed rack 10, in which a toothed pinion 11 of a hand ratchet 12 arranged on the clamping head 1 engages, by means of which the ax 3 crazy clamping head 1 can be moved.
In this device, the tightening of the wedge 4 is somewhat weaker than the frictional tangle full of steel on steel and the tightening of the wedges 3 and 4 together is about twice as strong as del;
those of wedge 4 chosen. As a result, when a train force is exerted on the rope or the rod 7, the jaws 6 and the wedges 4 are taken along, with the contact.) Press the jaws according to the tightening of these wedges 4 proportionally, the pulling crane grows.
When relieving the rope respectively. the rod 7 solve the wedges 3 and 4 together due to their stronger keren overall suit usually fully themselves, so that all the wedges are free and the rope BEZW. the rod 7 can be removed.
The example according to FIG. 5 differs from the example according to FIGS. 1-4 only in that instead of four there are only two pairs of wedges 3, 4 and the jaws 6 'are designed to hold a flat rod 13.
