Description

Fuel injection pump system with several single pumps arranged on the same axis in a circle and with a fuel cleaner. The present invention relates to fuel injection pump systems with several coaxially arranged single pumps and relates to the arrangement of a fuel cleaner, which has the task of separating gaseous or solid foreign substances from the fuel before entering the suction chambers of the pumps. In the case of such pumps, the cleaner was previously arranged separately from the pump, or attached to the outside of the pump housing, which on the one hand can easily damage the cleaner and on the other hand makes a simple and closed design of the pump system impossible.

According to the invention, these disadvantages are avoided in that the fuel cleaner is arranged in a space in the pump housing that is enclosed by the individual pumps.

In the drawing, an embodiment of the fuel injection pump system according to the invention is shown in an elevation, in which a vent is installed as a fuel cleaner.

In the pump housing 1, for. B. seven single pumps coaxially arranged in old age. In the cylinder 2 of such a pump, a piston 3 is guided, which is actuated by a shaft 4 via a drive device not visible in the drawing. Each pump also has a pressure valve 5 and a connection nipple 6 for the pressure line 7.

In the interior of the pump housing 1, la, in the cavity 12 enclosed by the individual pumps, a vent 13 is arranged. A lid 14 closes the space 12 and is used at the same time to attach the Ent fan. The fuel is passed through the Lei device 15 into an antechamber 16 and from here through the annular opening 17 into the ventilator 13, where the air and other gaseous substances contained in the fuel are excreted. The cleaned propellant leaves the ventilator through the opening 18 and enters the cavity 12, from which it flows through holes 19 to the suction chambers 20 of the individual pumps. The excreted from the propellant air or the like is discharged through line 21, 22.
