Umbilical holder: The previously proposed cable clamps or cable holders lack simplicity, versatility, cheapness and, above all, a quick Mon day option. In view of the ever widening cabling of the light and power lines as well as the telephone and telegraph connections, however, there is an urgent need for an improved cable holder.
The invention now relates to a cable holder which largely possesses the properties mentioned above. According to the invention, it has a flat iron bracket that can be hung in the holding iron and accommodating the cable, in the knee part of which there is arranged a trough which can be pressed against the cable to be fastened by means of a screw and thereby fixes the cable and bracket to the holding iron.
In the drawing, two example embodiments of the subject invention are shown. 1 shows a view of the holder in the cable direction according to a first embodiment, FIG. 2 shows a side view of FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows a plan view of FIG. 1, FIG. 4 shows an application example and FIG. 5 is a second embodiment of the cable holder.
The cable holder shown has a flat iron bracket 1, the dimensions of which vary depending on the thickness of the cable K to be laid. The two ends of the bracket legs are punched out; that they form a hook 2. By means of these hooks, the bracket 1 can easily be hung on a holding iron E (angle or U-iron) who the. A threaded hole is drilled on the knee of the flat iron bracket 1; in which a clamping screw 3 can be screwed.
The inner end of this clamping screw 3 leads a trough 4, which is adapted in its rounding to the cable diameter. A trough 5 serves as a counter-bearing to this trough 4. A stop bracket 7 is attached to the trough 5 parallel to the holding iron and holds the trough 5 in a flush position with the trough 4 when it rests against the holding iron E. The two troughs 4.5 clamping the cable K prevent the clamped cable from being pressed flat. The whole holder is cadmized to protect it against rust.
During assembly, the cable K to be laid is brought to rest against the tub 4 with the clamping screw 3 turned back between the legs of the bracket 1 and hung here on the bracket hooks 2 on the holding iron E. The tub 5 is now pushed between cable K and holding iron E until the stop bracket 7 is in contact with the latter. Finally, the clamping screw 3 is then tightened.
Fig. 4 shows that the cable holder can also be mounted alternately on one or the other side of a U-iron holder, which allows the smallest space requirement per cable.
Since it now often happens that, in addition to the main cable K, a further cable of small diameter has to be carried along with the main cable K, it is possible to fix the same on the holding iron E by means of a correspondingly smaller clamping bracket.
The cable holder according to FIG. 5 is especially intended for cables with a smaller diameter and allows the joint fastening of three cables K. 1 'is the flat iron bracket with the hooks 2' and the adjustable clamping screw 3 at its knee '.
The trough 4 'guided on the clamping screw 3' and also the trough 5 'acting as a counter bearing each have three cable beds 8 lying opposite one another, in which the cables K to be fastened come to lie. 7 'is a stop bracket attached to the tub 5' which, when mounted, by resting against the holding iron E, holds the tub 5 'in a flush position with the tub 4'. Assembly is the same as in the first embodiment, with three cables being inserted between the two troughs 4 ', 5' instead of just one cable.
