Fuel injection device for internal combustion engines. The invention relates to a fuel injection device for combustion power liners with an annular injection nozzle opening delimited on the inside by the seat cone of an injection valve and consists in that two fuel channels lead to the nozzle opening, one of which follows the valve stem and the other on the inlet side of the Nozzle opening converges transversely to the valve axis against the seat cone of the valve.
The channel which follows the valve stem expediently has a smaller cross section than that which converges against the seat cone of the valve. The valve can be provided with a deflecting surface for the fuel jet on the outlet side of the nozzle opening. An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing, which shows part of the injection device in axial section.
The injection valve 1 is provided with a seat cone 2, which rests tightly on the conical seat 3 of the nozzle body 4 when the valve is closed, but with this seat when the valve is open B> 3 delimits a ridge-shaped nozzle opening 5 .
This nozzle opening opens into the combustion chamber 25 of a price-engine cylinder. The shaft of the valve 1 has two cylindrical parts 6 and 7 separated by a step 22, of which the one from seat cone 2 is free -e, 6, the larger diameter and fits tightly into the nozzle holder 8 . The nozzle body 4 is ground tightly onto the forehead 9 of the cheek holder 8 and screwed tightly to it by means of the union nut 10 .
The guide sleeve 12 is held firmly in the longitudinal bore 11 of the nozzle body 4 by means of its flange 14 through which holes 13 pass between the nozzle body 4 and the nozzle holder 8 . The holes 13 issue from an annular space 15 into which the fuel supply line 16 in the nozzle holder 8 opens.
The outer end of the injection valve (not shown in the drawing) can be loaded in a known manner by a spring or a fluid pressure or connected to a control mechanism > of an annular cross-section, which starts from the annular space 16 and, following the valve stem part 7 , opens into the can opening 5 and on the outside a likewise ring-shaped one Fuel channel 18 with a larger cross section, which initially runs parallel to the valve axis away from the holes 13 ,
but then turns at right angles and converges in a plane perpendicular to this axis on the inlet side of the nozzle opening 6 against the seat cone 2 of the valve.
On the exit side of the nozzle opening, the valve 1 has an onion-shaped head 19, the upper surface part 20 of which, lying in the extension of the nozzle opening, serves as a deflecting surface for the fuel jet and which is drawn out to a point 21 in the valve axis.
The fuel coming under high pressure through the supply line 16 flows from the annular space 15 for the most part through the holes 13 into the channel 18 and for a smaller part in the ring channel 17. When the seat cone 2 is lifted from the seat 3 , be it through the one in the channel 18 </ B> on the seat cone 2 and in the annular space 15 on the step step 22 acting against the load on the valve, be it by actuating the control mechanism connected to this , The fuel flows from the annular space 15 at high speed because of the small deflections through the channel 17 and through the nozzle opening 6 and tears the in larger amount,
but because of the sharp deflection, the fuel flowing in from channel 18 is slower. After leaving the nozzle opening 6 , the fuel jet strikes the surface 20 and is thrown back by this, for example in the direction of the line 28. Since the individual fuel particles leave the nozzle opening at slightly different angles, the fuel can be distributed to the individual zones of the combustion chamber as desired by suitable design of the surface 20.
The tip 21 is used to allow fuel droplets that may possibly form on the head 19 to fall off as quickly as possible, so that they do not coke and impair the operation of the injection device.
