das vorteilhaft einstellbar ist, d. h. der Nei- gungswinkel *des Staubleches zur Olströ- mungsrichtung lässt sich verstellen. Wenn kein Ansprechen auf Ölströmung gewünscht wird, zieht man das Staublech vollständig aus dem Ölstrom heraua;

Float arrangement for monitoring oil-filled electrical apparatus. The invention relates to a float arrangement for monitoring oil-filled electrical equipment such. B. transformers, capacitors, switches or cable systems. The response of the swimmer can result in both a warning and tripping. H.
In the event of a fault, the swimmer can disconnect the defective electrical apparatus from the mains, for example by triggering the circuit breaker.
In order to obtain a float arrangement that meets all requirements that arise in the operation of electrical apparatus and is able to display all the causes of malfunctions and to obtain an apparatus that can be adapted to a wide range of uses without structural changes, according to the invention Organs provided, which allow a .Swimmer to selectively lose oil,
Let the oil flow and gas development respond. The storage and exchangeability of damaged float arrangements can be considerably simplified in this way.
In the figure, an embodiment of the float arrangement according to the invention is shown.
At any point, the in. Malfunctions in the electrical system, a change in the oil level or the oil flow respectively. the flow velocity is to be expected, the float 1 is arranged.
This carries, for example, a mercury interrupter 2 for the signal circuit. In the embodiment shown in the figure, the float is contained in a housing 3 which is inserted into the connecting line between a transformer tank and an expansion vessel,
namely 4 to the transformer tank and 5 to the pipeline connected to the expansion tank. In the event of damage to the electrical equipment, e.g.
B. in the event of a breakdown or rollover of the transformer insulation, as is known, the 01 is pressed as a result of the pressure increase at increased speed through the pipeline 4, 5 and the vessel 3 into the expansion vessel, namely in the direction of arrow 6. M occurring oil losses, z.
B. by steering the apparatus boiler in the electrical system, the 01 flows in the opposite direction in the direction of arrow 7 from the expansion vessel into the apparatus boiler. As long as the 01 in the float housing 3 is still above the mirror 8, the float cannot respond.
On the other hand, if the level reaches the height indicated by the dashed line 9, the swimmer sinks down or. tilts and exceeds the switching angle of the electrical switch, or the Q, silver switching tube, so that the @ signal circuit is closed or closed. opens depending on the operating mode.
In order to be able to either prevent the float from responding to oil loss or to allow it to respond, a weir 10 is arranged in front of the float housing in the pipeline. For example, the pipe cross-section can contain a retaining edge at this point. It is advisable to expand the pipe wall opposite the edge of the dam in accordance with the narrowing of the cross-section by the weir,
so that the vertex 11 results. By means of a diverting channel 12 which is opened or blocked by a valve 13, the weir can either be made ineffective or put into operation. The mouth of the channel is of course approximately at the level of the oil level 9, when it is reached, the swimmer responds.
The apex 11 of the pipe elbow or. the tube bulge is connected to the upper part (gas collecting space) of the vessel 3 by a connecting pipe 14 so that no gas bubbles can collect in the apex 11, but rather these are passed on unhindered to the gas collecting space of the vessel 3, so that the
The swimmer can respond properly in the event of gas development.
If so much 01 has been displaced from the vessel 3 by the gas that the oil level 9 is reached, the swimmer will of course respond. In order to let the swimmer either respond to gas development or to prevent its response, the upper part of the vessel 3 is connected to the line 5 through the Umlen channel 15.
The valve 16 contained in the pipe 15 is to be closed when the float is to respond to gas development and is to be opened when its response is to be prevented.
The gas then flows through the channel 15 into the pipeline 5. I) he oil level can then only be pushed ver up to the level 8, at which the swimmer is still kept floating. The lower position of the opening point 17 in the wall of the vessel 3 is essential for the mode of operation of the deflecting channel 15.
The pipe connection 18 is curved so that, as is necessary in many cases, the height of the two existing pipes 4 and 5 does not have to be changed.
The guide plate 19, the shape of which is approximately adapted to the housing '8, ent pulls the float from the direct action of the oil flow and any flow eddies of the oil. If the swimmer is also to respond to the oil flow, the baffle 20 is attached to it,
which is advantageously adjustable, d. H. the angle of inclination * of the baffle to the direction of oil flow can be adjusted. If no response to oil flow is desired, pull the baffle completely out of the oil flow;
the baffle is therefore detachably attached to the float.
The guide screen 1,9 is provided with a slot 21 through which the baffle 2-0 passes. Since the baffle plate has only a very small surface parallel to the direction of oil flow,
is the response limit of the float to oil flow independent of the viscosity of the oil.
The @swimmer is pivoted at point 22. The float movement is of course limited in a known manner by stops.
If. the swimmer is a tripping float, @d. H. when responding, disconnect the damaged device from the network, and if Üas @ Öl respectively. the oil level is monitored by a further float, which activates warning signals when speaking, it is advisable to allow the weir 10 to take effect and to close the valve 1.3 in order to
Do not allow swimmers to step in when oil is lost.
If. the inventive float arrangement is used as a protective device for electrical switches, it is generally advisable to open the valve in the connecting line 15 so that the float cannot respond to the development of the gas.
Only if the gas development and the associated pressure increase in the switch chamber become impermissible as a result of permanent arcs does the float respond to the strong oil flow that then sets in.
If, on the other hand, in special cases the switch switches in the area of the current zero passage, so that practically no gas development is to be expected during operation, the valve in the pipe 15 would have to be closed so that the float indicates the gas development,
which are in case of failure., z. B. at. Switching at the wrong time or if the contacts get stuck he would give. These two operating cases can be used in control switches, for example. for step transformers whose switching liquid is in connection with an expansion vessel.
The regulators can be de-energized or under load. Tap selector or special load switches.
By the three means mentioned: adjustable weir; adjustable baffles and bypass line for optional Abfüh ren respectively. Closing the captured gases, the following seven different settings of the float can be achieved:
