Description

Spray nozzle for atomizing liquids, in particular liquid paints. The invention relates to a spray nozzle for atomizing liquids, in particular special liquid colors, in a flat jet, in which the outlet opening corresponding to the jet cross-section consists of a narrow slot which is arranged in a plane-parallel replaceable attachment plate.

According to the invention, the center of the plate is thinner-walled than the rest and in this thin-walled part a bulge is arranged in such a way that it lies within the parallel delimitation planes of the facing plate and carries the incision.

Nozzles with narrow slots in wall bulges are known for airless blowing from Feuerlöscbmittel under low pressure. A spherical cap-shaped wall is provided at the bottom of deep cups; which are screwed onto the pressure line. However, this design cannot be used on devices with which, for example, liquid paint is sprayed out at pressures of 150 or more atmospheres, because the slots required there are so small that it is impossible to close the small cup sufficiently tightly attach. The replaceable element that can be used almost alone on such devices is the plane-parallel attachment plate.

In the drawing, an embodiment example of a spray nozzle formed according to the invention is shown.

1 shows an axial section through the spray nozzle in a representation that is greatly enlarged compared to the usual; Fig. 2 shows on the same scale the front plate seen ent against the spraying direction.

In the nozzle body 1 there is a nozzle shut-off needle 3 which, when the nozzle is closed, rests with its conical end 3c on a corresponding collar 1a of the nozzle body under spring loading. The spray material is pressed into the cavity of the nozzle body through a central channel 3a of the nozzle needle and branch channels $ b and, when a pressure corresponding to the spring preload is exceeded, the needle 3 with its seat 3c is released from the surface la so that the spray material emerges .

A plane-parallel attachment plate 4 is clamped onto the end face of the nozzle body 1 with the aid of a union nut 2. In this facing plate, the middle section is designed with a thinner wall thickness than the rest of the plate. This thinner-walled central part of the plate is bulged in the direction of spraying (4a), which can be achieved by either cutting or non-cutting shaping.

A cut was made transversely through this spherical bulge 4a by means of a circular, narrow saw blade which exposes the rectangular passage opening 4c in the bulge 4a. At 4b, the thick-walled part of the facing plate is cut, but this is of no importance.
