I>LW</I> in Verbindung gebracht.
B. gerade als Empfänger be- triebene Fernschreibmaschine stillgesetzt.
Die Überwachungsrelais<I>A</I> und<I>B</I> besitzen keine Einschaltverzögerung, sondern sind, da sie in einem Doppelstromkreis liegen, dauernd erregt.
Circuit arrangement for telegraph systems with relay transmissions. Relay transmissions are provided in telegraph systems in order, for example, to allow the telegraph characters to be re-sent on long lines. Even when transitioning from a telegraph system, e.g. B. double stream, to another, z. B. single stream, one usually uses such relay transmissions for completion.
Faults that occur in telegraph systems can, however, lead to faulty circuits and faulty connections when using these relay transmissions, especially with automatic switching traffic. These malfunctions can be caused, for example, by line interruptions, failure of operating voltages or telegraph relays getting stuck. Also from the outside on the connection einwir kende impulses, z.
B. by induction of neighboring lines, disturbances in the telegraph connections can result. The disturbances can also be of such a type and duration that they become similar to the switching criteria for the automatic connection establishment: A disturbance can, for example, be complete or partial initiate a self-connection connection.
If, however, the fault is followed by an occupancy criterion which, as is well known, can also be contained in the telegraphing pulses of a teletypewriter, a connection part or an entire connection can be rebuilt.
A subscriber of a self-connecting telegraph connection can therefore be disconnected from the other subscriber of the connection during telegraphic traffic without being noticeable to him, and it is even possible that his telegraph impulses reach another, undesired subscriber, see above that his broadcast intended for the first participant becomes known to a third participant.
Such disturbances are particularly unpleasant in the case of relay transmissions that are provided for the termination between a switching stage and a long-distance line. With such a relay transmission, other errors can occur, which are caused by the stufenwei sen establishment of the connection.
For example, if the connection is triggered by the output of a final signal, the transmission occupied in the incoming direction can become free earlier than the transmission occupied in the outgoing direction. This makes it possible for the transmission that was released first to be occupied by a new subscriber before the entire connection is in the release state. This process also creates a faulty connection.
The invention relates to a circuit arrangement for telegraph systems with relay transmissions, via which telegraph connections are established in the self-connecting traffic, with dialing and telegraphing characters being transmitted by pulses of the same current type but of different duration and in which the telegraphic traffic can be transmitted via in both directions Transmission routes going on. In this context, pulses of the same type of current are understood to mean those pulses that are generated by connecting or disconnecting similar current sources (e.g. batteries) to the telegraph circuit.
In order to avoid the above-mentioned disadvantages, according to the invention, switching means are now provided for the relay transmissions which, when a fault occurs, cause a termination criterion to be sent and the triggering state that has occurred once on an individual line of the transmission line independently of the others, later Maintain the following characters at least as long. until the entire connection is tripped.
In Fig. 1, a known relay transmission is shown in order to recognize the possible errors. In FIGS. 29 and 3, the exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention for relay transmissions which lie in the course of the line are shown. 4 and 5 show another exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.
4 shows a schematic diagram of the structure of a self-connecting connection, while the details of this self-connecting circuit are explained with reference to FIG. Fig. 6 shows yet another embodiment, the relay transmissions in the course of longer telegraph connections.
In Fig. 1, a relay transmission is shown as it is used to provide for long lines in the course of the connection. The telegraph characters arrive, for example, from the remote subscriber via the forward transmission direction of the long-distance line FLi at the receiving relay ERi and are passed on through its armature eri to the transmitting relay SR2 of the long-distance line FL2 leading to the other subscriber.
From the last-mentioned participant, the telegraph characters arrive via the trunk line FL2 at the receiving relay ER2 and are passed on to the reverse transmission direction of the trunk line FLi. During the broadcast, the armature of the polarized relay between the separating layer t and the character layer z. During a break in the program, the anchors are permanently in the separating layer t. The trigger criterion consists of a longer pulse, which results in the armature being moved into position z. This negative impulse leads to the collapse of the established self-connection connection.
However, if this trigger criterion occurs only briefly and, as mentioned above, is soon followed by a new occupancy criterion, the connection is only partially triggered and the subsequent telegraphing impulses re-establish part of the connection due to incorrect setting of the voters.
The same relay transmission with additional switching means to avoid these incorrect settings is now shown in FIG. 2. In this example, the tripping state is maintained until the final tripping is achieved by short-circuiting the windings of the polarized receiving relays ERi and ER2, while the transmitting relays SRi and SR2 are caused to continue to send out the final character criterion. The circuit is shown in the switched-off state. All anchors of the polarized relay are in the permanent position z, also called the false rest position.
During the existence of the connection, the anchors are all in the separating layer t and go, when telegraphed, briefly in the character layer z. It is now assumed that an interference pulse occurs over the forward transmission direction of the long-distance line FLi which is of such a type and duration that it triggers the voters in the remote office connected via FL2. As a result of this malfunction, which is received as a minus pulse, the armature eri of the relay ERi moves into the character position and short-circuits the winding of the relay Gl.
The relay Gi drops out with a delay. The delay of the relay Gi is dimensioned in such a way that it lasts for a short time when the anchor is switched over during telegraphing, but drops off as soon as a minus pulse occurs which is longer than the longest possible contiguous minus pulse for telegraphing pulses. The energized Gl relay keeps the delay relay Fi energized with its contact gi2.
If a longer minus pulse arrives via the long-distance line FLi, the relay Gi drops out and interrupts the circuit of the Fl relay, which begins to drop out with a delay. During the release time of the Fi relay when the Gl relay has dropped out, the following switching states occur:
The contact f li together with the contact gli causes the short circuit of the relay ERl, where the armature eri remains in the character position .z, regardless of which characters arrive via the forward transmission direction of the long-distance line FLi.
Simultaneously with the short circuit of the relay ERi, the contact f12 applies the winding SRz to the negative pole of the battery, whereby the anchor sri returns the final character criterion to the subscriber connected via the long-distance line FLi.
The armature Erl of the relay ERi sends the minus pulse via the transmitter relay SR2 and the long-distance line FL2 to the other subscriber in the telegraph connection and also causes it to be switched off, which ultimately also causes the relay ER2 to switch.
The delay time of the relay Fi is now dimensioned so that it is longer than the duration of the trigger pulses via the trunk line FLi BEZW. FL2. This ensures that the entire connection is released before a new assignment can be made at any point. If necessary, instead of a relay F, a relay chain or a. Timing overc before see.
Fig. 3 shows another Ausführungsbei game of the subject invention. The same operating state as in FIG. 1 is assumed. When the triggering criterion arrives via the forward transmission direction of the long-distance line FLi, Gi drops out, as described for FIG. 2.
Through its contact gil and through the contact f: tl of the now more delayed falling Fl relay, the armature eri is separated from the transmission direction via SR-2 and subsequent telegraphing pulses have no effect. The return of the Minusimpulses and the forwarding of the trigger criterion that occurs once take place as described for FIG. The rating of relay F is also the same.
In Fig. 5, the Schaltungseinzel units for a relay transmission are Darge, in which on the one hand a trunk line and on the other side a switching system connects. A basic circuit diagram (FIG. 4) is attached in which the connection and connection options are shown schematically in order to clarify the course of this exchange with regard to the circuit arrangements to be observed in two occupancy directions (FIG. 5) .
It is assumed that the subscriber TSi of the office FAi wishes to enter into communication with the subscriber T @ S2 of the office FA2. In the basic circuit diagram of Fig. 4, this connection to be established is particularly identified by a strong line and the direction of occupancy is indicated by an arrow.
The allocation direction here means the direction in which the individual dialing and connection levels are allocated one after the other from a subscriber.
According to this example, it runs from subscriber TS1 via the preselector VW and group selector GW and via the final relay transmission (t1 of the office F! Li further over the trunk line FL and the transmission IT2 and line selector LW of the office FA2 to the desired participant TS2 With respect to the relay transmissions, this connection setup shows that the transmission ('1 outgoing and the transmission (T2 incoming) is busy.
The trunk line <I> FL </I> is designed as a four-wire line and has a forward transmission direction (transmission line of the calling subscriber) and a rearward transmission direction (receiving line for the calling subscriber) with respect to the occupancy direction.
It is known that errors can arise in transmission systems of this type due to the forward and backward transmission of the switching criteria (pulses) via the trunk line, in that the switching on and off is constantly changing. It has already been suggested to fix them. Monitoring relays to be provided in the relay transmissions. which keep the transmission assigned for a connection in one direction blocked for the other assignment direction until the line parts of the connection opening on both sides of the transmission are tripped.
However, these switching means do not monitor the triggering of the entire connection if the final character criterion occurs once. When the invention is used in such a circuit, however, there are special advantages in that existing switching means can also be used. The circuit example shown in FIG. 5 follows the assignment sequence as shown in FIG. 4, completely men.
In Fig. 5 of these occupancy levels, first the subscriber line, then the preselector and group selector in departing the occupancy direction is shown, and for the incoming occupancy direction of the Lei line selector, which is known to be connected to the preselector and subscriber line again through the subscriber multiple circuit.
Furthermore, the connection transmission LT is shown in Fig. 5, which is connected to the group selector GW for the outgoing occupancy direction and to the line selector LW for the incoming direction on the one hand, to the trunk line <I> FL </I> on the other hand, The switching processes are as follows: The subscriber TSi initiates the connection process by pressing the on button <I> ET </I>.
This closes a call circuit via the subscriber line to the subscriber connection in the preselector T'W, in which the relay R of the preselector comes to respond through its winding I. By closing its contact r2, relay R starts the preselector, which is in the 0 position, in that the rotary magnet DYW of the preselector is controlled by an interrupter (TI'W.
During the step-by-step progression, the preselector checks the connection sets GW of the next selection level connected to the preselector with its test arm YWc. When checking the next free group selector GW, a test current circuit is established via the test wire (c wire) in which the relay T on the side of the preselector via its windings <B> 1 </B> and <B> 11 </ B > is addressed.
This disconnects the switching circuit for the preselector by opening the contact ti and the same contact and the already closed contact ri causes a short circuit in the high-resistance winding TII, so that the occupied group selector is blocked in a known manner. The T-relay is held by its low-resistance winding TI.
At the same time, the changeover contact t2, the normally closed contact side of which is in the idle state at the negative pole of the battery, is reversed, so that the transmission relay SR and a delay relay L are switched to the b-wire to the group counter. This results in a reversal of the current direction for the relays SR and L, since the b-wire in the idle state is connected to the positive pole of the battery via the changeover contact pr2.
This reversal of the current direction has the consequence that the delay relay L, which is made sensitive to the current direction by its locally excited winding I, and the transmission relay SR switch their contacts.
Previously, a circuit for winding II of the receiving relay ER was closed by closing contact r3 via contact sr, which is shown in the drawing position. This had the consequence that the contact <I> er </I> of this relay, which in the idle state of the system through the winding I of the receiving relay <I> ER </I> in the simulation current circuit in the character position <I> z </I> was held, is now folded over into the separating layer t, which will now be the rest position of the contact during the operating state.
The relay L which has come into effect puts its contacts h, 12 and 1,3 around, where the switch-on circuit running over the subscriber loop is switched. The contacts li and <B> 13 </B> prepare the connection of the receiving relay ER to the subscriber line, while the contact 12 disconnects the winding I of the R relay from the subscriber line.
The relay R, however, remains energized in local electrical circuits, in that the winding I of this relay remains energized in the same sense via the folded contact l-2 via the telegraph battery TB divided by earth and also by closing contact 14 and via the one in the separating layer t located contact <I> he </I> the winding II is excited in the same sense.
Since the transmission relay SR is reversed at the same time with the relay L, the contact sr of this relay goes from the illustrated character position z to the separating position t, whereby the receiving relay ER is now directly on the subscriber line with its winding II. A current reversal now occurs in the subscriber loop, since the telegraphing battery <I> TB </I> is connected to the line with the opposite poles - as in the switched-on state.
Due to the current reversal, the switch-on relay E at the participant, which in this case is a polarizing relay, is excited in the opposite sense via the switch-on button <I> ET </I>, which is still held down, whereby the switchover relay U is activated via its contact e the mains power source N is switched.
With the excitation of U, the drive motor M of the telegraph apparatus is brought to the start via contacts ui and u2 and the contact 24s switched, which on the one hand the previously existing short circuit of the send contact sk and the receiving magnet <B> ON </B> des Teletype, as well as the closing key ST cancels and on the other hand bridges the capacitor C lying in the line, whereby the direct current path of the telegraphing loop opened in the idle state by the capacitor C is closed during the operating state.
This also leaves winding II of the receiving relay ER, which, as already described, was previously energized in a backup circuit via the contacts sr and r3, is now energized in the same sense via the subscriber line direct current loop, so that the contact <I> he </I> maintains his company retirement period (t).
The contact <I> er </I> is already connected to the pulse relay Ai in the group selector GW via the contact t3, which was also closed when the T relay responded, and via the selector arm TTWa; <B> Al </B> remains unexcited, since its winding as well as the contact <I> er </I> are at the plus potential of the battery.
When the drive motor starts up in the subscriber station, the subscriber receives a sign that the preselection has ended and that he can start pressing the dial number. The pulsed interruption of the subscriber loop when the number disc NS is running causes a pulsed switching of the contact <I> er, </I> because the winding I of the receiving relay <I> EH, which counteracts winding 1I but only exerts half the force </I> returns the contact <I> er </I> to the character position z with every impulse interruption of the line.
Thus, the pulse relay Ai in the GIl 'is excited in terms of pulses, since the contact it applies negative potential to the a-wire in the character position z. The relay R, the winding 1I of which is traversed by a current of alternating direction while the contact <I> er </I> is being pulsed, so that in the case of the character position z of the contact <I> er </I> the windings I and 1I are switched against each other, there is no drop, since these brief excitation states are bridged by the delay effect of the relay.
In the group selector GW, the relay Ci had responded when the test circuit running over the c wire was closed; with this the further test circuit of the selector arm GWc has already been prepared by contact cii. As shown schematically, with the pulsed response of the relay <B> Al </B> through its contact ai, the lifting magnet Hi of the dial mechanism designed as a lever-operated rotary selector is excited.
Through the first dial pulse series, the rotary dial goes into the decade corresponding to the desired long-distance line and thus reaches the connections of the connection transmissions available for this long-distance connection. It is assumed here that a plurality of long-distance lines and a corresponding number of transmissions are available for this selected direction.
After the end of the pulse series, the rotary magnet Di of the Hebdrehwäh lers is operated in a manner not shown by the indicated interrupter <B> U G14 '</B> and performed freely within this decade over the lines of the connected transmissions. When testing the c-core of a free transmission set by the selector arm Gli'c, a test circuit is established,
in which on the GW side the test relay Pi with its windings I and II comes into play. As a result, the rotary magnet Di is stopped by opening the contact pia, while the a- and b-wire are switched through to the connection transfer U through the contacts pii and pr2 via the selector poor GWa and GWb.
When the contact pis is closed, the blocking state for the occupied transmission ti is brought about by short-circuiting the high-resistance winding PiII in a known manner.
The occupancy now “decreases” in the connection transmission L7 shown in FIG. 5 in the indicated arrow direction, that is to say outgoing, its progression. As can be seen from the illustration, the relay transmission LT also has an occupancy direction, which is indicated by the arrow "on", that is, incoming, the contacts si and 92 switching over from one occupancy direction to the other.
These contacts are switched in such a way that the part of the line that opens into the relay transmission of the exemplary embodiment so far dealt with to establish the connection is on the make contact side of these contacts, so that switching is required. The term Lei device part is understood to mean that part of the line of the entire connection to be established, which in this case runs from the subscriber to the relay transmission.
In the test circuit already mentioned, which is established by the selector arm GWc, the relay S with its winding I and the relay C2 with its low-resistance winding I respond on the transmission I 'side; The latter, however, generates the excitation required for the relay to respond only when the high-resistance winding PiII (Fix. 5) is short-circuited on the GW side.
The relay C2 moves its contact c22, whereby on the one hand the high-resistance winding C2II is switched on in the test circuit by canceling the short circuit, so that a further potential shift within the test wire that is favorable for the blocking state is achieved, and on the other hand the contacts ru2 and <I> f </I> s of the relays of the opposite assignment direction are switched off from the test circuit, so that this assignment direction can no longer be influenced by the other side.
When S is addressed, the contacts si and s2 are switched over, so that the receiving relay <I> EU </I> of the connection transmission under the influence of the contact <I> er </I> in the subscriber line of the preselector <I> VW </I> stands.
This relay <I> EU </I> was in the idle state via the contacts rui and si on the minus pole of the battery and thus held its contact on the long-distance line <I> FL </I> in the drawing position z, the so-called "wrong" rest position. Now that contact has been made with the contact <I> er </I>, which is in the correct rest position (separating position), and the relay <I> EU </I> is connected to the positive potential of the battery, its contact is made eu also in the correct term rest position, which is designated in Fig. 5 as a separation position with t.
In the relay transmission, a c-wire is still separated by the contacts s3 and c21, which represents the starting circuit for the other occupancy direction; In this way, a faulty start of the connection set following the connection transmission in this assignment direction is excluded.
A current reversal for the outgoing transmission path now occurs via the transmission line <I> FL </I> by switching the contact eu. The long-distance line <I> FL </I> in this example is designed as a four-wire line, as is generally the case in practice, so that two galvanically separated transmission paths are created. It goes without saying that so-called duplex lines can also be used for the same process, as is usually the case in local traffic.
Furthermore, it must be stated in an explanatory manner that, in accordance with the illustration in FIG. 4, FIG. 5 is now to be viewed in the opposite direction for the further progress of the connection production.
Let us now consider the processes in the transfer U2 of the opposite office FA2. The already mentioned current reversal on the long-distance line actuates the transmission relay SU in the incoming direction, as a result of which the contact su, which is in the character position z in the idle state, is transferred to the separating position <I> t </I>. This removes the short circuit of the relay RU and at the same time applies the battery to the series-connected windings I and II.
This relay RU, which has a relatively low self-induction, responds very quickly and initially separates the test wire coming from a connection set (GW) in the opposite occupancy direction through contact ru2, so that the connection transmission is blocked for the direction.
The relay RU, which is supposed to act as a connection monitoring relay during operation and thus has to be provided with a dropout delay to bridge the operational dialing and telegraphing pulses, short-circuits its low-resistance winding II through the contact ru3, through which the required Delay is reached.
Contact rus establishes the starting circuit for the connection set following this assignment direction, the line selector <I> LW, </I> via the contacts s3 and c2i that have remained in the rest position. In this starting circuit, the test relay C3 (fix.
5) to respond, so that a preparation of the <I> LW, </I> in particular a preparatory closure of the test circuit through the contact c31 is achieved.
The delay relay F is also made to respond by contact ru4. By closing the contact f3, the transmission contact su is connected via the contacts s2 and 13i to the relay A3 of the line selector set <I> LW </I> shown below in FIG. 5.
Since the switching sequence is designed in such a way that only after the send contact su has moved from the character position, zi to the separating position t, the switching to the pulse relay A3 takes place through the contact f3, a missing pulse cannot occur and the relay A3 remains unexcited during the current switching state. It should also be mentioned
that the contact f 4 switches on a replica resistor W a symmetrically to the relay RU. for the purpose of pulsing the contact so that the same current ratios are maintained for both sides of the contact and thus to avoid distortions.
The receiving relay EZ? In the idle state, this transmission set was connected to the negative pole of the battery via the contacts si and r-ui: the contact eu was therefore also in the position of the characters. By moving the contact rui with the assignment described above, this relay EU is now connected to the positive pole of the battery via the contact 1i32 of the connected line selector set L i1 ', whereby the contact eu is reversed into the separating position <I> t </I> occurs.
This reversal of the contact causes a current reversal in the opposite transmission direction of the second line pair of the long-distance line exactly as in the transmission direction described above, whereby the relay SU of the connection transmission of the exit office is actuated.
So we now turn back to the connection transmission of the office FAi <I> which is occupied in the outgoing direction. </I> The reverse current reversal, the so-called return pulse, shifts the contact su from the character layer,: to the separating layer, t , whereby, as already described above, the relay RU is activated as a connection monitoring relay. In this switching process, only the contacts rue and ru4 are significant.
The relay S, which has already responded via the c-core, has an additional holding effect due to the excitation of the winding SII via rus and s3.
With the response of the F relay, the previously open transmission path in the direction of calling the subscriber is now switched through by closing the contact f3, so that the positive potential required for the relays SR and L of the subscriber connection in the preselector VW through the in the separating layer t current contact is maintained.
Here, too, it should be mentioned that the chronological sequence of the switching processes avoids a disruptive faulty pulse for the relays SR and <I> I, </I>, since if contact f3 were not present, it would be caused by the until it arrived Return pulse in the character position Z located contact su for this time Mi would be nuspotential on the h-wire. The contacts ru2 and f s remain ineffective in this assignment direction, while contact f4, as already described, switches on the simulation for the relay Rtr.
These concern the transfers. Switching processes just described all take place within the dialing pause. However, it has no effect on the switching process described if the next series of dialing pulses is sent out while the return pulse is being generated and sent, as this is transmitted completely separately from the opposite transmission path.
The following series of selective current impulses excites the receiving relay located in the course of the occupancy direction, so that the pulses finally pass through the send contact su the connection transmission on the part of the office FA2 to the pulse relay A3 of the line selection set <I> LW </I> shown in FIG be averaged. Thus, like that of FIG. 5, we turn to completing the connection up to the subscriber to be called.
Through the contact a3 of the pulse relay As, the lifting magnet H3 of the line selector designed as a lifting rotary selector is actuated and sets the selector arms in the corresponding decade. After this series of dialing pulses has elapsed, as indicated schematically, a reversal from the rebar magnet H3 to the rotary magnet D3 is carried out by means of the switchover contact ulc, so that the next series of pulses, which is again transmitted through the contact a3,
controls the dial of the rotary selector by turning it in a horizontal direction towards the contacts of the desired participant. The desired participant has already been reached. The system wires a, b and c of the switching system coming from the line selector <I> LW </I> are connected in a known manner to the corresponding wires of the preselector set I'ZTT.
The connection of the wires a, b, c in the indicated arrow direction "from the LW" in the preselector connection YW can be followed in the circuit of FIG. A test current circuit is established via the arm LWc and the selector arm Z'Wc in the 0 position, in which the test relay P3 with its windings II and I is activated on the side of the <I> LW </I> .
The contacts p31 and p32 switch the incoming telegraph wires through to the preselector VW, switching off the pulse relay A3 of the a-wire and the positive potential of the b-wire. The contact p33 short-circuits the high-resistance winding P3II so that the <I> LW </I> is in the blocking state.
In the preselector 1% W of the called subscriber, the relay T is made to respond in the test circuit by the windings I and II connected in series, - by first separating the switching circuit for the rotary solenoid DVW of the preselector through contact follows.
Furthermore, the negative potential of the relays <I> L </I> and SB is switched off by contact t2 and the b-wire is switched through. The aforementioned relays <I> L </I> and SB are now under the direct influence of the sender contact sec of the connection transmission belonging to this office, so that these relays flip their contacts, since the sender contact sec passes through the separating layer t a plus potential is supplied.
The call is now made and the telephone of the desired subscriber is switched on remotely. The contacts 1i and <B> 13 </B> as well as the contact sr close the telegraph battery TB to the subscriber line via the winding II of the receiving relay ER, where a charging current surge occurs through the capacitor C in the subscriber circuit of the desired subscriber whose current direction is opposite to the current direction corresponding to the previous charge on the capacitor,
so that the polarized switch-on relay E is reversed. This causes the switch relay U to respond at this subscriber, so that the drive motor of the teleprinter starts up and the direct current telegraphing loop is closed by bridging the capacitor C by switching the contact u3.
The receiving relay ER thus transfers its contact <I> er </I> from the illustrated character position <I> z </I> to the separating position t, which means that the relay R is included in the circuits prepared by the contacts l2 and d4 its windings I and II is made to respond. Since the contact r3 is also closed; which is important for the formation of an equivalent circuit for the relay <I> ER </I> when sending with the contact sr.
The contact of the receiving relay is via the already closed contact t3 and via the cc wire with the receiving relay. EU connection transfer of the FAz office in connection.
The connection is now finally established, and both transmission paths, via which the two participants can communicate with each other, are connected. If the telegram transmission is ended and the connection is to be released, the following release states can occur: a) The connection is only triggered by the calling subscriber, b) The connection is only triggered by the called subscriber, c) Both subscribers initiate the triggering approximately at the same time.
A release of the connection according to point a) is assumed.
The calling subscriber presses the end-of-line key ST and thus separates the subscriber telegraphing loop for a longer time compared to the pulse interruptions. The receiving relay ER thus places its contact er in the character position, so that, following the long interruption of the telegraphing loop, the delay relay R, which acts as a connection monitoring relay, drops out.
This has the consequence that the contact ri opens the c wire, so that the relay T on the side of the preselector and the relay Ci on the side of the group selector G11 'drop out. The preselector then switches back to the 0 position by putting the contact fi back under control of the I'T'W switch.
Contact f-2 opens the b-wire and puts relays I, and SR back to the negative potential of the battery, so that they reverse their contacts. Thus, by moving back the contacts sr as well as 11 and 1s, the telegraphing loop is finally opened and at the same time a circuit in the subscriber line that is identical to the idle state is brought about by the contacts 1s and 12.
That means. that the telegraph battery TB is connected to the subscriber line with the opposite polarity, so that after the end button ST is pushed back, the polarized relay E is reversed, whereby when relay F drops out, the drive motor is stopped and the telegraph line is switched on by inserting the Capacitor C is de-energized again. This means that the subscriber station of the called subscriber is idle.
In the group selector set G14 ', when the relay Ci drops out, the c wire leading to the connection transmission IT is disconnected by its contact cif.
The test relay Pi thus drops out, so that the a, - and b-wire are separated by the Bontakte pli and pr2 and the lever-operated rotary selector is controlled in a known manner into its rest position.
On the relay transmission side (TI, the winding SI and relay C2 are de-energized by opening the c-core. Relay A7, however, cannot drop out because, as described when establishing the connection, this transmission is occupied in the outgoing direction the still excited winding SII keeps the relay in the energized state.
The relay G2 drops with a certain delay; however, putting back its contact c.21 is of no significance, since the starting circuit is kept open for the opposite occupancy direction by contact s3.
As long as the relays R and T in the preselector of this participant had not yet dropped out, the final signal from the subscriber was transmitted over the continuous transmission path. Thus, the send contact for the connection transmission of the office FA2 was moved into the character position for a long time, so that an unusually long short circuit for the relay RIT was created.
During this time, the relay RV falls and thus initiates the release on this side of the connection. The relay RIT opens the starting circuit with contact rus, which leads to the line selector <I> LW </I>. If the contact rus (Fig. 5) is broken, the relay C3 is de-energized, whereby contact c31 is opened and relay Ps is de-energized.
Thereby the 'contacts psi and pst fold. which causes the relay As to be energized. The contact a3 is closed and the lifting and rotating magnet H3D3 is excited, whereby the lifting and rotating selector is brought into its rest position.
At the same time, a return pulse is automatically given by the fall of relay RU to the connection transmission of the office FAi by the contact rui negative potential is placed on the receiving relay <I> EU </I>, which its contact eu in the character position z reverses.
In the connection transmission U of the office FAi, the transmission relay SU- of the long-distance line is reversed by the backward incoming pulse, so that the contact s-u changes into the character position z. The relay RU is short-circuited and drops out after a delay. Its contact ru4 opens the circuit for the delay relay F, while re the holding winding M of the switch relay S switches off.
This de-energizes the changeover relay and the transmission is finally returned to the idle state.
A release according to point b), in which only the called subscriber gives the final signal, will take place in a slightly different order, but in the same direction. If the called participant presses the end button, the end signal is transmitted to the preselector connection of the calling participant by reversing the receiving relay ER.
The relay R in the preselector of the called subscriber is thus probably brought to fall, but the transfer of his contacts has no effect on the triggering process, since the c-wire coming from the L-W remains closed. In contrast, the relay R in the preselection set of the calling subscriber and the relay RU in the connection transmission of the office FA1 is brought to drop, which initiate the triggering on both sides.
As in the previous release process, the c-wire is separated by relay R, while relay RU makes relay F and the holding winding II of relay S currentless. The relay S can, however, only drop out after the c wire is opened by the calling subscriber in the course of the triggering, so that the contact si is then switched back and via this and the contacts rui and <I> f </I> i the reversal of the receiving relay <I> EU </I> is effected.
From now on, the processes take place in a similar way as in the previous trigger example.
In the event of a trip according to point c), in which both participants give the final signal at about the same time, the individual phases of the trip overlap, which is initially initiated by the two separate transmission paths, but without any faulty switching occurring , since the Umsehalterelais S only then returns the connection transmission to the rest position when there is a tripping state in both of the lines opening onto both sides.
It is precisely because the triggering is initiated on separate transmission paths in telegraph systems and, in particular, takes effect at different points of the connection during connection transmission, making triggering particularly difficult.
With such a relay transmission, which completes a stage of the connection setup against a trunk line and whose normal mode of operation has been described above, the following errors can now occur: In the direction of the called subscriber, <I> FL </I> comes over the trunk line Relay SU sends a negative interfering pulse, which causes the relay armature su to move into position z.
The relay RU drops out, disconnects the c-wire through its contact rus and gives through its contact rui a continuous signal stream via the relay <I> EU </I> and the opposite direction of transmission of the trunk line <I> FL </I> to the calling party Participants return.
Is now the negative interference current surge arriving at the relay SU, which triggered the connection from the relay transmission to the called subscriber. only of a short duration, so is covered by the following plus current su like that on the separating side t; RV is re-energized.
Contact rue closes the lead to the <I> LW </I> from FA2 and by switching contact rui, EU is reversed again so that it again returns positive power to the calling subscriber. The temporary transmission of negative current from the relay transmission ITz can cause the printing of a false character on the telex receiver of the calling subscriber.
However, the entire connection is not released due to the occupancy criterion that follows shortly thereafter. The calling subscriber, who did not notice the partial connection release, will now somehow set the <I> LW </I> from the office FA2 by sending further telegraphing pulses and thereby establish a new connection to any undesired subscriber.
Another possibility of error is as follows: When the calling subscriber gives the final signal, the transfer that is busy in the incoming direction becomes free earlier than the transfer that is busy in the outgoing direction. If the transmission in the outgoing direction that was released earlier is immediately occupied by a new subscriber, the Rt 'relay is activated again during the countertransmission, thus preventing the F and S relays from dropping out. The transmission does not switch to incoming traffic and the new subscriber does not reach a GW.
These errors are also eliminated when the invention is used in such a relay transmission, and the essential advantage results. that already existing switching means, namely the relays RU and F, can be used for the tasks of the invention. The RF relay takes on the tasks of the G relay, while the F relay, which is already provided for the final through-connection of the connection, now also ensures that the final character criterion is maintained until the entire connection is triggered is.
The mode of operation, in particular with respect to the delay time of the relays RU and F, corresponds exactly to that based on Fi. g Z described mode of operation of relays G and F.
The contacts rus and fi ensure the short circuit of the relay SU when the final character criterion occurs, while the contact rui sends back the release criterion to the calling subscriber, which is maintained until the contact f2 shorts the relay Sf. ' will be annulled. This ensures that the entire connection has been triggered. before a new assignment can take place.
It goes without saying that the tripping state can naturally be maintained in the example according to FIGS. 4 and 5 also in the manner described with reference to FIG. 3.
The already mentioned Fig. 1 ent contains a further possibility of error. The dashed connection between the lines f and g should indicate that between contact eri and respectively. er2 and relay 8R1 respectively. 8R2 switching means can still be provided. For example, the lines are generally routed to pawls from which fixed connections are made by means of a cord and plug.
If now during normal operation, for example by accidentally pulling out relays or plugs, the local circuit is interrupted so that negative current flows continuously from the stationary transmitter relay to the long-distance line, the connected to it, z.
B. just shut down as a receiver operated teleprinter. The negative pulse running through the relays ER'i, ER2 and SRi in the backward transmission direction cannot pass through the relay transmission, which should also be interrupted for this direction between f and g, and the transmitter does not experience the disturbance recognizable,
when the polarized transmitter relay SRi is currently giving positive current to the long-distance line FLi. If the interruption, for example in the case of relay exchanges or switchings of the lines, is only brief and there are still voters of a switching facility in the direction of the receiving subscriber, the continuous transmission causes a wrong setting of the voters and the message can reach the wrong subscriber .
In Fig. 6, a relay transmission for two relay terminations is shown. The arrangement and method of operation described below are the same for both accounts and therefore only need to be described for one degree. The completed by the relay transmissions LRAi line is by means of the indicated by the dashed lines device, z. B. by means of a plug and jack, connected to a transmitter or another line that should be closed, for example, by the relay termination LRAz.
The monitoring relay A is energized by pressing the switch-on button Tea and switches its contacts ai and a2, which are in both transmission directions, to the operating position. The monitoring relay A is designed in a manner known per se so that it remains constantly attracted both with continuous current and with double current reception.
This can be achieved, for example, by training the relay as a phase relay, or by doing so. that the relay is placed in a rectifier bridge circuit. The monitoring relays <I> A </I> and <I> B </I> do not have a switch-on delay, but are constantly energized because they are in a double circuit. These relays A and B have a drop-out delay that is dimensioned in such a way that they remain addressed during the transition time of the relay S'Ri. If, however, the wires a and b of the local area are separated, the monitoring relays A and B drop out.
As a result, the transmitter relays SRi and 8R2 are brought into the permanent signal position via the contacts ai and bi and cause the remote machine to be switched off and the entire connection to be triggered. This release state is maintained until the entire connection has been released. Only then can the relays <I> A </I> and <I> B </I> be switched on again by pressing the Tea and Teb switch-on buttons.
Through the contact a3 respectively. b3 lights up a lamp STLa or STLa characterizing the faulty line. STLb on. At the same time, a ZVecker or I3upalarm (not shown), which prompts the operating personnel to rectify the fault, can also be switched on.
In the event that the voltage of the local power source fails, a capaci tor Ci is provided, which in telegraph operation via a locking means, z. B. is charged via the rectifier Gi. After switching the contact ai, it is discharged via the transmitter relay SRi and reliably causes its permanent signal position. A blocking medium, e.g. B. the rectifier Gi or a high-ohmic resistor, prevents discharge through other, approximately parallel-connected circuits.
The invention is not limited to the examples shown, but can be used wherever relay transmissions occur in telegraph systems. For example, it can also be used for relay transmissions that occur when a subscriber is connected to an exchange via a long trunk line.
