Touch microphone with 1 microphone capsule built into a housing. The subject matter of the present invention is one in which the sound vibrations to be transmitted act on a membrane. The invention aims to improve the effectiveness of such a microphone.
In the previously known versions of. Microphones of the type mentioned above have the disadvantage that the application pressure with which the touch microphone is applied to the head or neck of the user can impair the transmission quality.
With these designs, the membrane can be bent so far by applying pressure that:
d @ ass a noticeable change in contact pressure or of the air gap between. the effective parts come about, which also fluctuates with changing contact pressure and must therefore lead to a continuously changing transmission quality.
In the subject matter of the present invention, this disadvantage is eliminated in that.
the microphone capsule is resiliently mounted in a housing and the membrane arranged on the capsule is connected via a support to a pressure plate arranged outside the housing.
wherein the carrier protrudes freely, movably through the housing. This results in two oscillation structures, one of which is formed by the capsule with its elastic position against the housing and the other by the membrane with the capsule.
This makes it possible to give the first-mentioned oscillation structure a different, preferably lower, natural frequency than the second-mentioned. - With this choice of natural frequencies it can be achieved @that,
the contact pressure causes a yielding movement of the capsule and of the parts used for the transmission of vibrations, so that "a deflection of the membrane which might impair the quality of communication" does not occur due to the contact pressure.
If the microfonically effective turning parts, namely the membrane with the capsule, are given a high natural frequency, the speech vibrations to be transmitted do not move the capsule, or only slightly in relation to the movement of the membrane, so that an increase in efficiency can be achieved .
A high natural frequency of the membrane can be achieved, for example, by increasing the membrane thickness :.
The housing and the pressure plate can be surrounded by a protective cover, in which case the protective cover and the connecting parts for the attachment of the housing receiving the capsule are expediently designed in such a way that
that the free mobility of the pressure plate cannot be influenced and that the transmission of interfering vibrations to the part that becomes effective through the microphone is prevented by forwarding the interfering vibrations via the fastening parts. This can be achieved, for example, by the pressure plate,
is covered by a protective cover, the surface area of which is chosen so that it is not stretched between its fastening point on a carrier for the housing and the pressure plate, so that it does not hinder the free movement of the pressure plate.
The subject matter of the present invention is described below with the aid of an exemplary embodiment and is shown in the accompanying drawing, an electromagnetic microphone being selected.
The figures show: FIG. 1 a cross section through a microphone capsule and its housing, FIG. 2! a microphone according to FIG. 1 with a protective cover shown in section, FIG. 3:
a microphone according to FIG. 1, which is mounted in a protective cap, the material of the protective cap being shown in section.
The microphone according to FIG. 1 has a capsule 1, which receives an electromagnet 2. The capsule is closed off by a membrane 3 "which carries an armature 4 opposite the pole of the electromagnet 2.
The microphone capsule 1 is elastically supported in the vicinity of two opposite end faces of the capsule, namely at points 5 and 6 in a housing 7, for example by means of sponge rubber or springs.
At. Spring bearings can be given a rubber cover for damping. The housing 7 is acoustically hard to protect the capsule 1 against @ Störsohwimmern, and can for example consist of brass or Alumi nium. The housing 7 is closed by a cover 8,
through which a connecting member 9 protrudes freely, which carries a pressure plate 10 at its outward end. The connecting member 9 can be made in one piece with the armature 4 and attached to the membrane 3 by riveting.
If the microphone is placed on the head or neck of the user, the contact pressure exerted on the pressure plate 10 is transmitted to the membrane 3 and, since this is very stiff, to the entire capsule 1,
without a sagging of the membrane 3 and thus a change in the adhesive gap occurring. In contrast, the entire capsule 1 is displaced within the protective housing 7, since the capsule 1 and its mounting are dimensioned and designed so that
that the capsule with the resilient mounting has a very low natural frequency. Because of the high. Natural frequency of the vibration pattern consisting of the membrane 3 including the pressure plate 10 and the capsule 1, an excessive movement of the microphone capsule through the transmitted,
relatively high-frequency speech oscillations prevented, and the speech oscillations to be transmitted come to the membrane 3 respectively. at the air gap between armature 4 and the pole of the magnet system 2, which remains at rest together with the capsule 1, is fully effective.
As can be seen from the figure, the capsule 1 is encompassed by the elastic, for example ring-shaped bearing parts at the point 5 and at the stable 6 at its. Ground supports. This arrangement results in an upright position. the capsule 1 achieved in the housing 7, whereby,
the uniformity of the transmission quality continues to be supported.
Instead of the illustrated electromagnetic microphone, it is of course also possible, with the same advantage, to use one which operates according to the electrodynamic or capacitor principle.
According to FIG. 2, the touch microphone according to FIG. 1 has a cover, for example made of soft leather, to protect its sensitive parts. The casing 11 is provided with a fold 12 which engages in the space between the pressure plate 10 and the housing 7.
This fold has the effect that the relative movement of the pressure plate 10 with respect to the housing 7 is not hindered by the casing 11 and no disturbing vibrations can be transmitted to the pressure plate 10 and thus to the Meinbran 3 through body conduction .
Fig. -3 shows the microphone in the wall of a protective cap. or the like. installed. The actual attachment of the housing 7 takes place between the wall 13 and the lining 14 of the protective cap. To secure ,
against rotation of the housing 7 in the wall of the protective cap and to protect the microphone effectively turn. Part 10, the housing together with the pressure plate is covered by a ceiling 15 to the outside.
The length of the ceiling 15 between its fastening point on the wall 13 and between, the point at which the ceiling 15 rests on the part 10 that becomes effective through the microphone, is larger than. the direct distance between these two points. As a result, similar to
the fold 12 in the execution: according to FIG. 2, the part 10 is not hindered in its movements by the protective cover 15. In addition, however, at the same time the transmission of interfering vibrations, in which the wall 13 can be set,
by body conduction to the part 10 which becomes effective in terms of the microphone; suppressed, since the ceiling 15, due to its great length, does not act as a rigid connection which promotes the transfer of the interfering vibrations.
