Teilen 1 . 3 Dioxybenzol vereinigt.
Licht echtheit.
Process for the preparation of an azo dye. It has been found that particularly valuable dyes suitable for dyeing chrome leather and vegetable-tanned leather are obtained if @diazotized 1-amino-8-ogynaphthalene sulfonic acids with double-coupling 1.
3-Diogy compounds of the benzene series are coupled, an o-Ogydiazo compound is allowed to act on the monoazo dyes obtained in this way, optionally also with a third mole of any diazo compound to form the trisazo dye and the dis-, tris- or polyazo dye in transferred a metal compound.
Suitable metals are Cu, Fe, Ni, Mn, Cr. The sequence of the coupling reactions can of course also be reversed. In front of other metal-containing azo dyes which contain 1,3-diogybenzene as a component, the dyes obtained according to the present application are distinguished by their valuable hue and better lightness.
The dyes dye chrome leather and vegetable-tanned leather in beautiful, red-brown, level tones, which are characterized by particularly good acid, alkali and light fastness.
Prior to known metal-containing dyes of a similar composition, in which a benzene derivative was used instead of the diazotized 1-amino = 8-ogynaphthalene sulfonic acid, the new dyes obtained in this way are distinguished by a significantly improved lightfastness of their colorations.
In contrast to the known, similarly composed but metal-free dyes, the new products are also distinguished by a significant improvement in the lightfastness of their dyeings on leather.
The subject of the present patent is a process which, characterized in that diazotized 1-amino-8-ogy- naphthalene, 3. -6-disulfonic acid with 1. 8-Diogybenz91 is coupled by diazotizing distant 4-NitrQ = $ - amino-1-oxybenzene and this diazo compound with the.
the previously obtained monoazo dye is combined and finally the disazo dye obtained is converted into the copper compound in an alkaline medium.
<I> Example: </I> 34.1 parts of 1-amino-8-oxynaphthalene-3. 6 disulfosäura (acidic sodium salt) are diazotized in a known manner and treated with an alkaline solution of 11th parts 1. 3 dioxybenzene combined. A diazo compound prepared from 15.4 parts of 4-nitro-2-amino-1-oxybenzene is allowed to run into the monoazo dye, likewise in a medium kept alkaline.
When the coupling is complete, 25 parts of sodium carbonate are added and a solution of 50 parts of crystalline is left with heating to about <B> 60 '</B>. Add copper sulfate and heat it to 80 until the color no longer changes. The dye is deposited from a neutral solution through rock salt. He dyes chrome calfskin and vegetable-tanned sheepskin in the same, clear red-brown tone of excellent alkali, acid and. Light authenticity.
