In den Figuren sind eine Ausführungs form der erfindungsgemässen Röhre mit eini gen Einzelheiten, sowie einige Schaltungen unter Verwendung dieser Röhre schematisch dargestellt, und zwar ist in Fig. 1 der Gesamtaufbau der Röhre in einem, schematischen Längsschnitt darge stellt, während in Fig. 2 die Mittelplatte des elektronen optischen Systems gesondert dargestellt ist; Fig. 3 zeigt eine Ausführungsform einer indirekt geheizten Kathode;
Fig. 4 zeigt das gesamte Elektroden- system in perspektivischer Darstellung; Fig. 5 zeigt eine Schwingschaltung, wäh rend in der Fig. 6 eine Rückkoppelungsschaltung dar gestellt ist;
beispielsweise siriusförnii"e Steuerspannungen in sägezalin- förmige Kippspannungen, umzuwandeln.

Cathode ray tube. An electron beam tube has already been proposed by the applicant. in which the cathode itself or an intermediate screen is thrown by a suitable electron-optical system as a narrow electron band onto: a suitable, shaped anode and in which the: control:
takes place by deflecting the electron band using deflector plates or the like.
It has been found that, with such arrangements, it is very difficult to send an emitted emission through the diaphragm, so that it is only possible to achieve sufficiently strong anode currents with difficulty.
According to the invention, the electron band emanating from the cathode is pre-centered in such a way that it is pre-concentrated on a point lying between the cathode and: the electron-optical system in such a way that:. at this point: it has the narrowest cross-section.
The electron-optical system is set in such a way that the point at which the strip is at its thinnest serves as the object point and is mapped into the anode plane.
As a result of this design, any intermediate diaphragms and slits of the plates of the electron-optical system can be made relatively wide (for example about 2 mm), so that no electron loss occurs due to blanking.
The electron-optical system can consist of two positive external elements and a third element, which is arranged between these and is negative against: the external elements.
It is advisable to put the two outer elements on the full anode voltage and to end the element arranged between them .. The focal length of the system can be set as desired in this hall thanks to the special design: the middle element, the middle element can z -cki can be designed as a slotted plate with attached metallic glints. In this case,
the focal length is changed by changing the inclination of the lobes against the base plate, the focal length of the system being proportional to the angle of inclination of the lobes.
The preconcentration can be achieved zivechm; issi 'using Elcnienii @ ii, the most negative of which is earthed or weakly positive to the cathode. In this way the training becomes one:
slzii-heii ranrn- cargo wool in the Voi-honzenti "ationsrauili avoided with certainty and a large constant emission guaranteed with certainty.
In order to eliminate the influence of any ileizsirom fluctuations, z-, vecl; - moderately faderil #: atliodes can be used, which are heated by conducting heat from, for example, heating wires arranged in their extension.
The use of normal, indirectly heated cathodes is also straightforward, but requires a very strong pre-concentration.
In contrast, the use in directly heated equipotential cathodes, where there; Xquipotentialröhrchen is not completely covered with the emission layer, but only has a narrow @ longitudinally arei- fen emitting substance. proven to be appropriate. Such cathodes can be produced, for example, in the following way:
The equipotential tube is seen in the longitudinal direction with a: narrow groove. This groove is filled with highly emitting substance, for example with alkaline earth metal oxide, where \ orgP is given,
that the remaining parts of the equipotential surface remain completely free of the highly emissive substance. The highly emissive layer can now either under crashes or by sputtering highly emissive metal, such as. B. barium, are formed.
If the formation takes place by sputtering, the cathode is z -ech- after completion of the forming process.

In the figures, an embodiment of the tube according to the invention with some details, as well as some circuits using this tube are shown schematically, namely in Fig. 1, the overall structure of the tube in a schematic longitudinal section Darge provides, while in Fig. 2 the Center plate of the electronic optical system is shown separately; 3 shows an embodiment of an indirectly heated cathode;
4 shows the entire electrode system in a perspective illustration; Fig. 5 shows an oscillating circuit, while in Fig. 6, a feedback circuit is provided;
7 shows a modified oscillating circuit with deflector plates which are negatively biased with respect to the neighboring electrodes, FIG. 8 shows an exemplary embodiment of an inertia-free oscillating relay, and FIG. 9 shows an amplifier circuit.
In the figures: 1 denotes the cathode and 2 denotes the pre-concentration system consisting of electrodes 3 and 4. The elec trode 3 can consist of two mutually inclined th sloping flaps and is conveniently at ground or a weak posi tive potential, while on the plate 4, the full anode potential can be useful.
The concentration effect of the system can be changed within second limits by changing the inclination of the two lobes against each other, but must be adjusted so that the electron band assumes its narrowest cross section between the cathode and the electron optical system to be mentioned.
The opening of the plate 4, namely the slot 5, is dimensioned such that @ no masking occurs. 6 is that of the two outer plates that form the main acceleration anode:
7 and 8 and the middle plate 9 with the attached tabs 1,0 and 1,1 existing electron-optical system, the focal length of which is expediently done by changing the inclination of the plates 10 and 11 against the base plate, but also by changing the on the individual plates lying potentials can be done.
With 12 and 13 the baffles are designated. 1.4 is the working anode consisting of the two plates 1.5 and 16, onto which the narrowest cross section of the electron band is imaged by the electron-optical system. The cathode 1. can for example be designed as a filament cathode (band width for example 0.2 mm).
An embodiment of an indirectly heated cathode is shown in FIG. 3, for example. It means:
17 the equipotential tube arranged on the isolation tube 18, which is provided with the groove 1.9 on its surface. which is filled with highly emissive substance, while the entire remaining surface of the equipotential tube is free of highly emissive substance.
The groove 19 can have a width which corresponds to the thickness of a filament or ribbon cathode. By using such cathodes: ge it is possible to maintain the advantages of the indirectly heated cathode without having to accept the unfavorable effect of increasing the emission area.
It is particularly expedient to arrange the getter powder required to generate the high vacuum in such a way that the metal vapor generated can only be visibly or not at all at those points where secondary electrons can be formed . For example, the getter substance can be arranged on the outer tip of 3 .
If alkaline earth metal is to be sputtered onto the cathode, it can expediently be arranged in such a way (for example in a metal tube located in the extension of the cathode),
that the resulting metal vapor sweeps over the natho (d @ e in the longitudinal direction and essentially does not even hit the plate 1. The use of a reported evaporation of the metal is of particular importance in this case.
From the perspective view according to Fib. .1 the entire design of the electrode system is clear. evident. The metal connection between .the plates 1 and? one has to imagine, for the sake of closure, closed at the front and back: for the sake of better recognizability it has been drawn openly.
The Fi-. Figure 5 shows an oscillating circuit using the tube described. For this purpose, the anode plate 16 of the coil 20 and your capacitor 21 existing resonant circuit ?? #, be laid. The anode plate 16 is with. the baffle 12 connected. The anode plate 15, as well. the deflection plate 13 are at anode potential.
It is also possible to use both anode plates and both baffles for control. For this purpose, the oscillation circle can be placed between the two working anode plates 15 and 16 and the plates 15 and 16 can be cross-connected to the deflection plates 12 and 13.
In Fib. 6 one is indicated. This differs from the oscillating circuit in FIG. 5 in that: the control plate 12 is placed on the anode plate 16 via the impedance element 23. is.
A potentiometer or any capacitive or inductive voltage divider can be used as the impedance element 23. A suitably selected fraction of the controlled anode voltage is fed to the controlling deflection plate 12 via this element.
The tube described with reference to FIG. 1 can advantageously be used for any type of push-pull circuit.
By suitable design of the anode - the shape of which can easily be calculated for each individual case - it is possible with the tube according to the invention to convert voltages of a given curve shape into voltages of another prescribed curve shape,
for example, to convert siriusförnii "e control voltages into saw-tooth breakover voltages. This application is of particular importance for 14 '(i-usehenipfangsgei, <i.t.e.
The Auft, reffkante the anode can also be like this. formed: "% -erden. that an anode # 41 rom occurs only when a certain control voltage is tilxrsteps.
The same - \ # @ 'irkunti can also be achieved - in a more stylish way - by magnetic or electrostatic pre-deflection of the electron band. Tubes designed in this way are of essential importance as threshold value regulators, limiter tubes, inertia-free relays and the like.
By installing such a tube in a simple receiver can be achieved. that all weak. even under favorable conditions, stations that are difficult to receive and the weaker atmospheric disturbances are cut off. The receiver then delivers a completely clear, clear reception of the strong incoming transmitter. without interference from the relatively weak transmitters.
Apart from the double control due to the two-fold control, a third control can be carried out by means of space charge control of the intensity: the electron band. In this case, the negative electrode 3 of the preconcentration element can be used as the control element.
It is; but it is also possible to provide a special electrode within the pre-concentration system for this purpose. If such an intensity control is used. it is twofold. To pre-concentrate the electron band on an intermediate screen and to image the intermediate screen on the anode using the electron-optical system.
In particular in the case of the last-mentioned embodiment with intensity control, it is necessary to center the emission area exactly in relation to the other electrodes.
It is therefore useful to use a pinch foot which is provided with attached glass supports. The individual electrodes are either provided with guide holes themselves, the size and arrangement of which correspond exactly to the arrangement and the cross-section of these glass supports, or they are attached to special holders that are provided with such guides.
Groups of electrodes which belong to a system, for example to the pre-concentration system or the electronic optical system, can expediently be completely assembled to form a system using rotation gauges and pushed onto the holders as a whole.
It is also possible to connect the individual electrodes by fusing the holding wires attached to the electrodes, in particular using intermediate pieces made of glass, in the brackets with these.
The first-mentioned method, however, deserves: the advantage insofar as it makes serial assembly much easier.
The welding of the metal tabs determining the focal length of the systems can also expediently take place using gauges. The system parts are expediently only removed from the gauge after it has cooled down, so that subsequent signs of distortion cannot occur. It is also essential to use material that has been pre-degassed to such an extent that subsequent heating, which could result in warping, is no longer necessary.
It is particularly useful to use those parts of the system in which a change in position or direction during operation would have a noticeable effect on the mode of operation of the electron tube, for example the central part of the electron-optical system, with such a large ( To provide an opening so that they are practically not hit by the electron ribbon and consequently cannot be heated.
The system anodes, which essentially take up the entire electron flow and are therefore exposed to strong heating, are either, entirely or at least at the point of impact, made of high-melting material such as, for example, tungsten, and with special heat-dissipating properties Means (for example very large heat radiation surfaces, which can be appropriately blackened, and the like.) Provided.
It is also expedient to design the anode leads in such a way that they dissipate a considerable part of the heat.
The electrode arrangement can be designed in such a way that the inside of the tube is trimmed off at the top against disruptive influences from the outside by the working anodes and an auxiliary anode arranged behind the slot between the working anodes. In this case it is possible to leave the part of the tube wall opposite the anodes completely free of fog in order to achieve good heat radiation.
While in the circuits shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 the deflection plates are at anode potential and the middle element of the electron-optical system is set to the correct bias voltage using the resistor 24, it is, as already:
It is also possible to ground the middle element of the electron-optical system and to negatively bias the deflection plates in order to avoid interference currents or, if necessary, to connect them to ground.
An embodiment of such an arrangement is shown in FIG. 7, for example; in this case, a negative voltage with respect to the surrounding electrodes is applied to the deflection plates via a potentiometer 2 # 5.
The plate 13 is inductively coupled using the coil 26 to the oscillating circuit 22 located on the working anode plates. On your potentiometer? 5 ka.nii, if necessary, the advance notice for the middle element of system 6 can be obtained at the same time.
As seen, it is also possible to ground the baffle plates. Here it is expediently relatively insensitive, i. 1i. so short and possibly not too close. Able rik plates arranged on the electron band to use and / or to work with a higher anode voltage. In this case it can be useful:
one, choose the voltage of the working anode plates liiilier zii than that of the outer plates of the electron optical system. Furthermore, the oscillation circuit can be arranged in a deflection plate circuit and the anode. be inductively coupled.
The potentiometers used to produce the necessary pre-tensioning can be conveniently arranged in the tube valve itself or in the pipe frame and fixed once and for all, so that the pre-tensioning can be adjusted. cannot be done by the user.
The use of deflectors described above. -which naturally extend over the entire space between your electronic optical system and the working anodes has:
z - # \ - ar results in an increase in the deflection sensitivity, but causes edge field disturbances at the same time. In those cases in which such disruptions have to be avoided without notice. it z- # vecl @ mäss:
g to dimension the plates in such a way that a distance in the order of at least 1 cm, particularly small, is maintained between the working node plates and the baffle plates.
Furthermore, it is necessary to train and arrange the sewing method in this way. that - both the ends of the filament and the filament feed lines are completely shielded from the space surrounding the actual system.
For this purpose, the glass element 3 surrounding the filament can be directed towards the sides (front and rear in FIG. I)

Since out-of-phase voltages can be picked up at the same time, this arrangement is also particularly suitable for the operation of push-pull controlled Braunscheu tubes, ie. H.
Tubes of this kind can be seen in which the deflection spanning is applied to one deflection plate and a voltage of equal amplitude but reversed phase is applied to the deflection plate on the other. Of course, it is also possible with this arrangement not to ground the baffles, but only preferably weakly, for example by 10-50 volts, to negatively bias the anode against ge.
