Description

Process for thickening solutions, especially of an organic type.

The invention relates to a method for thickening solutions. in particular an organic type, with the help of a gas flow causing evaporation, according to the patent claim of the main patent. The purpose of the invention is to improve the economy of the process. To improve the means by which, according to the present invention, the hot gas flow coming from the evaporation space is induced, its heat as largely as possible to the part of the gas flow a. b, which has already been cooled down and now needs to be reheated.

An example of an embodiment of a system for carrying out the new method is illustrated in a simplified representation on the accompanying drawing.

1 also denotes in this. Case an evaporation chamber in which the solution to be thickened, circulated by a pump 7 through a line 14, comes into internal contact with the gas flow describing a closed circuit. This gas stream circulated by the propeller 4 emerges from a line 6 below the level that the solution occupies in chamber 1, so that the gas bubbles must first pass through the solution and absorb moisture during this process.

The moist and warm gas stream coming from the evaporation chamber 1 passes through a line 61 into a heat exchanger 2l and then through a line 63 to a cooling device 27 with a built-in ventilator 23, from here through a line 63 first back into the heat exchanger 21 and then to pass through line 64 to device 28 with built-in coil 5, where the gas flow is reheated. In the heat exchange, cher 21, as well as in the cooling device 27 is lder through the line 6t respectively. 62 supplied, moist gas stream dried by cooling.

Because a heat exchange is initiated in the heat exchanger 21 between the warm, warm portion of the gas flow and the cooled portion of this flow coming from the device 27, a very considerable amount of heat or heat can be achieved. Achieve cooling recovery, which allows an Exalte- generating plant to get by with significantly lower performance. The condensate that occurs when the gas flow is cooled in the heat exchanger 21 and the cooling device 27 flows away through the U-tube 29.

The gas fed back to the heat exchanger 21 through the line 63 is first dried in this and then in the device 28 again by heating. The sleep. nge 5 of this device forms the condenser of the Eä. lte production a. nlage, the compressor of which is denoted by 8; 9 is the expansion valve and 3 is the evaporator of the refrigeration system. 24 denotes another heat exchanger, which allows the dissipation of the amount of heat that could not be given off by the condenser coil 5 to the gas stream sweeping past.

The evaporator 3 cools brine in a container 21, which brine is kept in circulation through the coil 23 of the cooling device 27 by a pump 22
A prechamber 25 with built-in metal sheets 96 is expediently switched into the gas flow immediately behind the device 28, which is used to reheat the gas flow. In this antechamber 25, the thickened L¯sun can be thickened even further by evaporation, in which case special means for introducing the solution from Idem below part of the chamber 1 into the chamber 25 are to be provided.

The solution can be added continuously, or the sheets are filled in batches.

Requiredfa. Baffle plates can be built into the evaporation chamber, and the gas outlet can be directed through a separation device. The heat exchanger 21, the cooling device 27 and the device 28 for reheating the gas flow are expediently constructed in such a way that high flow velocities are present for the gas flow.
